This paper focuses on the optimal control of continuous-time linear time-varying uncertain systems with completely unknown internal dynamics and proposes a novel approach which leads to an optimal controller with guaranteed stability. A model-free algorithm of adaptive dynamic programming is employed to deal with the uncertainty of system parameters, yielding an optimal feedback controller for the system subject to a predefined cost. Then the stability of the system in time-varying uncertain situation which may undergo parameter changes or jumps is analyzed from the perspective of finite-time stability. On the basis of these results, a switching control strategy is presented to ensure the stability of the time-varying uncertain system with desired optimality properties in the long run. The effectiveness of the strategy is verified by simulations on a DC torque motor servo system.

In the field of machine vision,camera calibration is a key *** self-calibration,one of camera calibration methods,is only based on the images to calculate the camera’s intrinsic *** has simple calibration process and strong *** self-calibration algorithm needs to calculate the epipole and fundamental matrix by solving the Kruppa equation,but the uncertainty of the epipole always leads to large error and long operation *** improve the precision of camera calibration and reduce the time consumption,the parallel quantum particle swarm algorithm（QPSO） is introduced to solve the improved Kruppa *** can figure out the camera intrinsic parameters and transform the calculation of epipole into the adaptive value of the cost *** with the ordinary particle swarm optimization algorithm（PSO）,QPSO has less parameters,better robustness and faster convergence *** using a multi-core computer platform,its parallel processing has also combined with the characteristics of parallel computing which improves the calculation *** results show that the proposed method is more accurate than ordinary PSO,and the program time consuming is significantly reduced.

An SNR-Adaptive Relaying Algorithm for Multi-Antenna Cooperative Networks

Multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) and cooperative communications have been attracted great attention for the improvements of communication capacity, power consumption, and transmission coverage. The conventional fixed relaying protocols, amplify-and-forward(AF) and decode-and-forward(DF), have their own advantages and disadvantages, i.e. AF performs better than DF for low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) region, while the reverse is true for high SNR region. Therefore, this paper proposes an SNR-adaptive forward(SAF) relaying scheme obtaining the advantages of both AF and DF. Furthermore, the proposed SAF does not need to switch between AF and DF when SNR changes. The main idea is to adaptively derive the soft information at the cooperative relay nodes based on the information of the received signal and the SNR. Besides, based on the theoretical analysis and the simulation results, it is affirmed that the proposed SAF achieves superior performance than both AF and DF for all SNRs. Moreover, the performance gain would be improved with the increasing number of parallel cooperative relay nodes.

This paper investigates the attitude tracking control problem of reentry vehicle with modeling inaccuracies and external disturbances. An improved nonsingular terminal sliding mode control method is presented, and a faster convergence rate is obtained in comparison with the conventional nonsingular terminal sliding mode control(NTSM). By the proposed control strategy, the possible singularity during the control phase is avoided, and robustness is also guaranteed. Simulation is made for a reentry vehicle in the condition aerodynamic parameters and atmospheric density are perturbed. The results show the effectiveness of the proposed strategies.

state estimation is a core objective in cyber-physical systems. In the state estimation problem over linear systems, the Kalman filter is the standard solution. The filter is the format on which the solutions to subsequent estimation problems are based. Among these problems are the estimation problem in the presence of packet drops and estimation problem involving event-based triggers. We study in this paper both phenomena simultaneously. In an attempt to find the Kalman-like filter, which proves the Gaussianity of the state and offers a set of update equations, our paper shows that no such filter exists. More precisely, one cannot find an event-based trigger such that under possible packet drops, the state variable remains a Gaussian variable. This conclusion can be reasonably extended to a more general setting.

Chimera states are spatiotemporal patterns in which coherence and incoherence coexist. We observe the coexistence of synchronous (coherent) and desynchronous (incoherent) domains in a neuronal network. The network is composed of coupled adaptive exponential integrate-and-fire neurons that are connected by means of chemical synapses. In our neuronal network, the chimera states exhibit spatial structures both with spikes and bursts activities. Furthermore, those desynchronised domains not only have either spike or burst activity, but we show that the structures switch between spikes and bursts as the time evolves. We are entering a new AI era, and the development of AI technology and popularization of AI education has become the national strategy of China. The primary and secondary school students are the builder of future society, and have strong curiosity and passion to learn new things; therefore, we should make a good preparation of AI education for them and cultivate their basic AI literacy and computational thinking to adapt to the future. In this paper, from the viewpoint of thinking mode and literacy and skill training, a curriculum including basic, project, and practical types is designed. Integrating with the iSTREAM educational system proposed by Chinese Academy of Sciences, exploratory works were shown with some case studies. The applications show that AI education is helpful to enrich the study of primary and secondary school students and to prompt comprehensive quality.

The power from wind varies depending on the environmental factors. Because of the randomness and intermittent of wind, it is difficult for the wind energy conversion system to locate and track the maximum power point (MPP) with fast speed and high accuracy under the condition of variable wind speed. In this paper, a variable-speed wind-generator maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control method based on adaptative neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) is presented. It is designed as a combination of the Sugeno fuzzy model and neural network. The ANFIS based controller predicts the optimum speed with the inputs as the speed change and power change, and controls the speed with PI controllers. The performance of the proposed controller is tested for direct-drive permanent magnet wind turbine based wind energy conversion system under fast wind speed variation in MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation results show that the designed control method has good dynamic characteristics and steady-state accuracy in wind power MPPT and improves the working efficiency.

In this paper, a mechanical transmission based on cable pulley is proposed for human-like actuation in the artificial ankle joints of human-scale. The anatomy articular characteristics of the human ankle is discussed for proper biomimetic inspiration in designing an accurate, efficient, and robust motion control of artificial ankle joint devices. The design procedure is presented through the inclusion of conceptual considerations and design details for an interactive solution of the transmission system. A mechanical design is elaborated for the ankle joint angular with pitch motion. A multi-body dynamic simulation model is elaborated accordingly and evaluated numerically in the ADAMS environment. Results of the numerical simulations are discussed to evaluate the dynamic performance of the proposed design solution and to investigate the feasibility of the proposed design in future applications for humanoid robots.
