There are a wide variety of intelligence accelerators with promising performance and energy efficiency,deployed in a broad range of applications such as computer vision and speech ***,programming productivity hinders the deployment of deep learning *** low-level library invoked in the high-level deep learning framework which supports the end-to-end execution with a given model,is designed to reduce the programming burden on the intelligence ***,it is inflexible for developers to build a network model for every deep learning application,which probably brings unnecessary repetitive *** this paper,a flexible and efficient programming framework for deep learning accelerators,FlexPDA,is proposed,which provides more optimization opportunities than the low-level library and realizes quick transplantation of applications to intelligence accelerators for fast *** evaluate FlexPDA by using 10 representative operators selected from deep learning algorithms and an end-to-end *** experimental results validate the effectiveness of FlexPDA,which achieves an end-to-end performance improvement of 1.620x over the low-level library.

Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PolSAR) images have attracted much attention with abundant polarimetric scattering information. In recent years, many deep learning models have been proposed and highly expanded to PolSAR image classification. However, how to learn the complex matrix information is an indispensable problem. To address this problem, a Wishart Deeplab network is developed, which can not only learn the polarimetric matrix structure by designing Wishart network level but also learn multi-scale polarimetric scattering features by incorporating dilated convolution. Specifically, the Wishart-Deeplab based PolSAR classification model is constructed by designing the Wishart convolution operation to learn the statistical information of PolSAR data. Then, a deeplabV3 + network is followed to obtain the multi-scale semantic features by dilated convolution. By this way, statistical distrubtion-based and high-level semantic features are adaptively learned to improve the performance of the network. The experiments are conducted on two sets of real PolSAR data and results show that this method can obtain better classification results. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Lobophorins(LOBs)belong to a large family of spirotetronate antibiotics with antibacterial and antitumor *** this study,we demonstrated the function of LobP1,a P450 monooxygenase encoded in the LOB biosynthetic gene cluster,by in vivo deletion and in vitro biochemical *** disruption of lobP1 led to the isolation of three new LOBs derivatives(3-5)and three known ones(6-8)without the hydroxyl group at ***1 was shown to have relatively broad substrate *** the kinetic parameters of LobP1 towards different substrates revealed that LobP1 preferred substrate with a *** new LOBs 3-5 displayed significant antibacterial activities against Bacillus subtilis and Micrococcus luteus with MIC values of 0.125 to 1μg·mL^(-1),and the major product LOB E(6)from the∆lobP1 mutant showed moderate cytotoxic activities against several cancer cell lines.

Behavior trees (BTs) have been extensively applied in the area of both computer games and robotics, as the control architectures. However, the construction of BTs is labor-expensive, time-consuming, and even impossible as the complexity of task increases. In this work, we propose a formal verification based synthesis method to automatically construct BTs whose behaviors satisfy the given Linear Temporal Logic (LTL) specifications. Our method first explores candidate BTs by a grammar-based Monte Carlo Tree Search (MCTS), then the explored BTs are transformed into Communicating Sequential Processes (CSP) models. After that, we invoke the verifier to check the models’ correctness w.r.t. specifications, and provide feedback based on the verification result for guiding the search process. The application of our method on several representative robotic missions indicates its promising. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

This paper proposes a method for adapting the layout of flexible workpieces of various shapes, in order to reduce the difficulty of location design for personalized shapes. Different from the previous location design that relied on the experiences of engineers, this method establishes an optimization model that determines the number of datum points and the optimal solution based on the centroid characteristics of the workpieces. The optimization index of this model is to control the minimum deformation of the overall flexible workpieces and the minimum variance of the deformation at the maximum deformation point. Taking the characteristics of the workpieces as a priori constraints for location determination, this model obtains the optimal solution combined with finite element analysis. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified through a numerical example. © 2024 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

Centralized open radio access networks (O-RANs) aggregate computing resources of multiple cells to improve resource utilization and achieve statistical multiplexing gain (SMG), i.e., the ratio of the number of deployed resources (DepR) for distributed radio access network (D-RAN) to that for O-RAN. SMG of O-RAN has been investigated with infinite number of cells with homogeneous bursty-temporal traffic features. However, in practice, the number of cells is limited, and in the era of Internet of Things (IoT), cells with heterogeneous bursty-temporal traffics (het-traffics), should be considered. This paper analyzes the SMG of O-RAN with limited het-traffic cells. First of all, given traffic models of het-traffic cells following different bursty lognormal distribution and periodic time-varying features, required resources (ReqR) for D-RAN can be derived. Then, to obtain the distribution of ReqR for O-RAN with limited het-traffic cells, a Gaussian mixture model (GMM) based resource distribution approximation (GMM-RDA) is proposed. Thus SMG can be obtained for any given service rate. In simulations, the effectiveness of GMM-RDA is verified by Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) test, and the accuracy of achieved SMG can be up to 99.7%, which is about 33% higher than that obtained by the law of large numbers (LLN) for infinite cells. Moreover, het-traffic cells resulting from service diversification can enhance SMG in O-RAN by 34.7%. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

The coprime array constructs virtual array to obtain higher degrees of freedom (DOF), but the premise of doing so is that the signals are independent of each other. Once there are coherent signals, the signal model of virtual array is destroyed and the method fails. To solve these problems, we propose the stepwise estimation of the Direction of Arrival (DOA) for a mixture of coherent and uncorrelated signals. Firstly, the symmetry of the two coprime subarrays is used to eliminate the uncorrelated signals, and combined with the properties of prime numbers, the coherent source DOA is jointly estimated. The obtained coherent source DOA was combined with the optimization algorithm to remove the coherent signal in the mixed signal. Finally, the virtual domain signal processing method was used to estimate the independent source DOA. This method can effectively reduce the influence of coherent signals on the accuracy of DOA estimation without loss of degrees of freedom. In this paper, the feasibility of the proposed method is proved by theoretical derivation, and the effectiveness of the method is also verified by experimental simulations. © 2022 IEEE.

Artificial intelligence(AI) systems surpass certain human intelligence abilities in a statistical sense as a whole, but are not yet the true realization of these human intelligence abilities and behaviors. There are differences, and even contradictions, between the cognition and behavior of AI systems and humans. With the goal of achieving general AI, this study contains a review of the role of cognitive science in inspiring the development of the three mainstream academic branches of AI based on the three-layer framework proposed by David Marr, and the limitations of the current development of AI are explored and analyzed. The differences and inconsistencies between the cognition mechanisms of the human brain and the computation mechanisms of AI systems are analyzed. They are found to be the cause of the differences and contradictions between the cognition and behavior of AI systems and humans. Additionally, eight important research directions and their scientific issues that need to focus on braininspired AI research are proposed: highly imitated bionic information processing, a large-scale deep learning model that balances structure and function, multi-granularity joint problem solving bidirectionally driven by data and knowledge, AI models that simulate specific brain structures, a collaborative processing mechanism with the physical separation of perceptual processing and interpretive analysis, embodied intelligence that integrates the brain cognitive mechanism and AI computation mechanisms,intelligence simulation from individual intelligence to group intelligence(social intelligence), and AI-assisted brain cognitive intelligence.

In order to overcome the limitation that the inductance value of the conventional reactor changes in the power system, a new type of flux controllable reactor access system stability analysis is studied in this paper. Firstly, the topology and working principle of the flux controllable reactor are introduced, and the change of the equivalent impedance of the controllable reactor under the condition of actual injection signal delay is analyzed. The research shows that the delay has great influence on the equivalent impedance of the controllable reactor, and the equivalent impedance of the reactor may show negative resistance characteristics according to the difference of the delay time. Especially when there is a resistive load, the system may have resonance phenomenon, resulting in abnormal increase of the power grid current, and then cause the wrong operation of the relay protection device, which needs to take corresponding suppression measures. Secondly, the influence of delay on the stability of flux-controlled reactor access system is discussed. The correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified by theoretical analysis and simulation model. The research results provide an important reference for the stable application of flux controllable reactor in power system, and help to improve the stability and reliability of power system. © 2024 IEEE.
