Cross-network user matching is one of the basic issues for realizing social network data integration. Existing research based on structure features provides a good matching method for nodes with high-degree, but ignores the matching of nodes with low values. This paper proposes an unsupervised cross-network user matching algorithm based on association semantics to solve the problem of cross-network user matching. It can effectively solve the low-degree user matching problem when the quality of the text type attributes of network users cannot be guaranteed. First, build a social network graph based on multiple types of user behaviors, and define different association semantics according to different behaviors;then, walk based on the association semantics to obtain user node sequences with association semantics, and then combine the network embedding model to learn the user feature vector representation is obtained;finally, the user similarity is measured based on the user vector similarity, and then cross-network user matching is realized. The highlights of this paper are two folds. (1) We treat the association as nodes. (2) Social network user graphs with association semantics can enrich structure feature;walks based on association semantics can obtain walks that are closer to natural language short sentences. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively match user with similar behavior characteristics without any prior knowledge, and can effectively achieve the matching of low-degree nodes in heterogeneous networks. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In the field of high-performance computing, some application scenarios make extensive use of bit manipulation. RISC-V foundation issues B extension to reduce the number of instructions during the static compilation. But this extension does not cover the more frequent operations fully. Instruction fusion technology can fuse multiple instructions into one instruction at the decode stage to dynamically reduce the number of instructions. Therefore, this technology can supplement RISC-V B extension uncovered instruction, enhancing the processor’s capabilities for bit manipulation. This paper implements the RISC-V B extension 1.0 version on the Xiangshan processor. For accelerating more bit manipulation, we profiled general benchmarks by the simulator, proposed ten new instructions fusion targets, and implemented a fusion decode unit. Finally, we use Coremark and SPEC CPU 2006 integer to evaluate the performance. The Coremark results show that dynamic instructions reduce by 18.14%, and the performance improves by 12.09%. © 2022 SPIE.

As machine learning models are widely used in malicious traffic detection, model security has become an important research topic. Aiming at the problems that the model refactor attack methods need a large amount of prior knowledge of the target model, rely on a large amount of real data, and have a narrow scope of application, a model refactor method based on adaptive sample generation was proposed. By means of an adaptive sample generation algorithm based on graph retrieval, a small number of real samples are used to quickly generate generated samples uniformly distributed in the input domain. The boundary of the refactored model is corrected according to the decision of the target model, the refactored model is iteratively trained by combining the network traffic feature selection method and the model hyperparameter optimization method, and the model refactor attack is finally realized. The refactor attack experiment against five malicious traffic detection machine learning models shows that the refactor rate and accuracy of the refactored model increase gradually with the increase of iteration rounds, and the refactor rate is more than 90%, using only the target model output label. © 2022 IEEE.

XRL-SHAP-Cache:an explainable reinforcement learning approach for intelligent edge service caching in content delivery networks

Content delivery networks(CDNs) play a pivotal role in the modern internet infrastructure by enabling efficient content delivery across diverse geographical regions. As an essential component of CDNs, the edge caching scheme directly influences the user experience by determining the caching and eviction of content on edge servers. With the emergence of 5G technology, traditional caching schemes have faced challenges in adapting to increasingly complex and dynamic network environments. Consequently, deep reinforcement learning(DRL) offers a promising solution for intelligent zero-touch network governance. However, the blackbox nature of DRL models poses challenges in understanding and making trusting decisions. In this paper,we propose an explainable reinforcement learning(XRL)-based intelligent edge service caching approach,namely XRL-SHAP-Cache, which combines DRL with an explainable artificial intelligence(XAI) technique for cache management in CDNs. Instead of focusing solely on achieving performance gains, this study introduces a novel paradigm for providing interpretable caching strategies, thereby establishing a foundation for future transparent and trustworthy edge caching solutions. Specifically, a multi-level cache scheduling framework for CDNs was formulated theoretically, with the D3QN-based caching scheme serving as the targeted interpretable model. Subsequently, by integrating Deep-SHAP into our framework, the contribution of each state input feature to the agent's Q-value output was calculated, thereby providing valuable insights into the decision-making process. The number of vulnerabilities reported in open source software has increased substantially in recent years. Security patches provide the necessary measures to protect software from attacks and vulnerabilities. In practice, it is difficult to identify whether patches have been integrated into software, especially if we only have binary files. Therefore, the ability to test whether a patch is applied to the target binary, a.k.a. patch presence test, is crucial for practitioners. However, it is challenging to obtain accurate semantic information from patches, which could lead to incorrect results. In this paper, we propose a new patch presence test framework named Ppt4j (Patch Presence Test forJava Binaries). Ppt4j is designed for open-source Java libraries. It takes Java binaries (i.e. bytecode files) as input, extracts semantic information from patches, and uses feature-based techniques to identify patch lines in the binaries. To evaluate the effectiveness of our proposed approach Ppt4j, we construct a dataset with binaries that include 110 vulnerabilities. The results show that Ppt4j achieves an F1 score of 98.5% with reasonable efficiency, improving the baseline by 14.2%. Furthermore, we conduct an in-the-wild evaluation of Ppt4j on JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA. The results suggest that a third-party library included in the software is not patched for two CVEs, and we have reported this potential security problem to the vendor. © 2024 ACM.

Vulnerability Digging for Software-Defined Network Controller Using Event Flow Graph Analysis

Software-defined network (SDN) controllers, the core of SDN network architecture, need to deal with network events of the whole network, which has huge program state space and complex logic dependency, with security issues related. Vulnerabilities in the SDN controller can paralyze the whole network. Existing controller testing methods are difficult to dig into the hidden logic vulnerability for their ignorance of the complex events interactions among controllers, apps, and data plane inputs. Different from file processing software, network software is driven by events, and the event flow can more accurately and comprehensively reflect the execution process. In this work, we propose an SDN controller vulnerability digging method based on event flow graph analysis. The proposed method consists of three main steps: first, we execute the instrumented controller in a normal environment and generate event flow graphs and then extract their features as reference. Second, we generate and execute test cases using the fuzzing method and dig the newly built event flow graphs with potential vulnerabilities. Finally, we manually examine and validate the potential vulnerabilities. To accurately discover abnormal subgraphs, we utilize graph feature extraction and analysis technologies, such as graph mining and clustering, to distinguish the normal graph and abnormal graph. We implement our method on the Ryu controller and compare it with other SDN testing methods, such as BEADS and Delta. Quantum computing is a new computing mode that follows the laws of quantum mechanics to control quantum information units for computation. In terms of computational efficiency, due to the existence of quantum mechanical superposition, some known quantum algorithms can process problems faster than traditional general-purpose computers. HHL algorithm is an algorithm for solving linear system problems. Compared with classical algorithms in solving linear equations, it has an exponential acceleration effect in certain cases and as a sub-module, it is widely used in some machine learning algorithms to form quantum machines learning algorithms. However, there are some limiting factors in the use of this algorithm, which affect the overall effect of the algorithm. How to improve it to make the algorithm perform better has become an important issue in the field of quantum computing. This paper summarizes the optimization and improvement of HHL algorithm since it was proposed, and the application of HHL algorithm in machine learning, and discusses some possible future improvements of some subroutines in HHL algorithm. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
