As the largest source of technical information around the world, patents are regarded as an essential crystallization and carrier of knowledge and technological innovation. Patent transformation is conducive not only to enhancing economic efficiency, but also to improving productivity and the rational utilization of resources. There is an imbalance between high patent ownership and low transformation rates. We try to predict the occurrence of transformation events from the patent assignment. However, there are some challenges in predicting patent transformation: (1) how to capture transformation features of patents, especially combined with the transfer time factor. (2) how to predict patent transfer time effectively. To address these challenges, a Patent Transfer Time Forecasting Model (PTTFM) is proposed. The model includes: (1) extraction of time-varying features of patents. (2) the patent transfer time is forecast using a Neural Temporal Point Process. By testing the model on patents under different classifications, the experimental results are obtained to show that the proposed model is applicable to predict the timing of patent assignment within a certain time frame, especially one month. Our work may facilitate patent transformation while interpretability is ensured for transformation events. © 2023 IEEE.

Uncertainty-Inspired Multi-Task Learning in Arbitrary Scenarios of ECG Monitoring

As the scenarios for electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring become increasingly diverse, particularly with the development of wearable ECG, the influence of ambiguous factors in diagnosis has been amplified. Reliable ECG information must be extracted from abundant noises and confusing artifacts. To address this issue, we suggest an uncertainty-inspired model for beat-level diagnosis (UI-Beat). The base architecture of UI-Beat separates heartbeat localization and event diagnosis in two branches to address the problem of heterogeneous data sources. To disentangle the epistemic and aleatoric uncertainty within one stage in a deterministic neural network, we propose a new method derived from uncertainty formulation and realize it by introducing the class-biased transformation. Then the disentangled uncertainty can be utilized to screen out noise and identify ambiguous heartbeat synchronously. The results indicate that UI-Beat can significantly improve the performance of noise detection (from 91.60% to 97.50% for real-world noise detection and from 61.40% to 82.41% for real-world artifact detection). For multi-lead ECG analysis, UI-Beat is approaching the performance upper bound in heartbeat localization (only 15 false positives and 9 false negatives out of the 175,907 heartbeats in the INCART database) and achieving a significant performance improvement in heartbeat classification through uncertainty-based cross-lead fusion compared to single-lead prediction and other state-of-the-art methods (an average improvement of 14.28% for detecting heartbeats of S and 3.37% for detecting heartbeats of V). Considering the characteristic of one-stage ECG analysis within one model, it is suggested that the proposed UI-Beat has the potential to be employed as a general model for arbitrary scenarios of ECG monitoring, with the capacity to remove unusableepisodes, and realize heartbeat-level diagnosis with confidence provided.

Intellectual property transactions have shown a strong growth momentum in recent years, but the patent transaction market has been plagued by the matching degree of consumers and sellers, resulting in frequent problems such as low patent transformation efficiency and poor transaction quality. This paper proposes a method of recommending patents to consumers by experts to improve the environment of patent transactions. Through the analysis of the past transaction information of the patent, the effective path information of the target is extracted. The graph neural network is used to describe the characteristics and semantics among experts, patents and consumers, and then capture the potential weight among them through the common attention mechanism, and then dynamically integrate them to predict the occurrence of recommendation behavior. The paper makes reasonable use of social information and expert information in the transaction, which significantly improves the rationality and accuracy of expert recommendation. © 2023 IEEE.

Experimental study on hydrodynamic characteristics of a novel suspended pendulum floating breakwater

Floating breakwaters (FBs) are essential structures for protecting offshore structures. To address the issue of poor performance of floating breakwaters in protecting against long-period waves, a new type of Suspended Pendulum Floating Breakwater (SPFB) is proposed, which innovatively combines the floating breakwater with the single pendulum structure. It adjusts the structural response through the feedback mechanism generated by the movement of the pendulum body, effectively improving the dissipation efficiency of wave energy. An experimental study was conducted in a two-dimensional wave flume to investigate the hydrodynamic performance of the SPFB under regular wave conditions. key parameters—including reflection coefficients, transmission coefficients, energy loss rates, and motion responses were analyzed by varying the pendulum length and counterweights. The results demonstrate that the SPFB exhibits significant wave attenuation, particularly for wave periods near the structure's resonance. Compared with conventional FB, the SPFB reduces the transmission coefficient by approximately 28.6 %–36.4 %. This enhanced performance is attributed to the resonant amplification of both the floating box and the pendulum motions, which leads to greater wave energy dissipation. Furthermore, the SPFB allows for tunable resonance characteristics by pendulum length adjustment, enabling effective protection against waves of varying periods and enhancing adaptability to diverse wave environments. © 2025 Elsevier Ltd

Multimodal fake news detection aims to automatically identify real or fake news, thereby mitigating the adverse effects caused by such misinformation. Although prevailing approaches have demonstrated their effectiveness, challenges persist in cross-modal feature fusion and refinement for classification. To address this, we present a residual-aware compensation network with multi-granularity constraints (RaCMC) for fake news detection, that aims to sufficiently interact and fuse cross-modal features while amplifying the differences between real and fake news. First, a multiscale residual-aware compensation module is designed to interact and fuse features at different scales, and ensure both the consistency and exclusivity of feature interaction, thus acquiring high-quality features. Second, a multi-granularity constraints module is implemented to limit the distribution of both the news overall and the image-text pairs within the news, thus amplifying the differences between real and fake news at the news and feature levels. Finally, a dominant feature fusion reasoning module is developed to comprehensively evaluate news authenticity from the perspectives of both consistency and inconsistency. Experiments on three public datasets, including Weibo17, Politifact and GossipCop, reveal the superiority of the proposed method. © 2025, Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (***). This paper focuses on studying the convergence rate of the density function of the Euler- Maruyama (EM) method, when applied to the overdamped generalized Langevin equation with fractional noise which serves as an important model in many fields. Firstly, we give an improved upper bound estimate for the total variation distance between random variables by their Malliavin-Sobolev norms. Secondly, we establish the existence and smoothness of the density function for both the exact solution and the numerical one. Based on the above results, the convergence rate of the density function of the numerical solution is obtained, which relies on the regularity of the noise and kernel. This convergence result provides a powerful support for numerically capturing the statistical information of the exact solution through the EM method. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. A basic problem of quantum computing is how to effectively express classical data in quantum systems. This problem is called state preparation problem, and the process of preparing quantum states is called coding. In this paper, the classical data of matrix is transformed into quantum states in the form of amplitude coding and simulated. This paper first introduces the detailed process of matrix transformation into the linear combination of quantum ground state, then designs a quantum circuit model to realize amplitude coding according to the idea of binary tree model and quantum random walk algorithm, and finally simulates the three matrices on IBM quantum cloud platform, and analyzes and introduces many situations. The experimental results verify the feasibility of converting the matrix into quantum states by amplitude coding, analyze the causes of errors in the experimental process, and put forward the corresponding solutions. This paper introduces in detail the whole process of matrix conversion to quantum states and the construction of quantum circuits for simulation. Compared with the existing experiments, the quantum circuits constructed in this paper are shorter in length, less in number of quantum gates, and more versatile.

Adaptive Datum Points Location Optimization Method for Flexible Workpieces based on Centroid Characteristics

This paper proposes a method for adapting the layout of flexible workpieces of various shapes, in order to reduce the difficulty of location design for personalized shapes. Different from the previous location design that relied on the experiences of engineers, this method establishes an optimization model that determines the number of datum points and the optimal solution based on the centroid characteristics of the workpieces. The optimization index of this model is to control the minimum deformation of the overall flexible workpieces and the minimum variance of the deformation at the maximum deformation point. Taking the characteristics of the workpieces as a priori constraints for location determination, this model obtains the optimal solution combined with finite element analysis. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified through a numerical example.
