Physical testing of concrete brick material made by community in Petoaha Village Nambo District Kendari City Southeast Sulawesi Province

摘      要：On Jalan Garuda, Petoaha Village, Nambo District, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province is located along the sea. In this area it is quite unique because there is beach sand and hill sand. Material of hill sand and beach sand is used by the community as concrete brick material. This research is important to find out the quality of concrete bricks made by the community of Petoaha sub-district. The results of this study are expected to provide information on compressive strength and absorbency of concrete brick water made by the people of Petoaha, so that the quality is known. This study aims to compare the compressive strength and absorbability of concrete brick material from 100% Nambo beach sand, concrete brick material from 100% Petoaha sand, and concrete brick material from 50% Nambo beach sand and 50% Petoaha sand. This study uses an experimental method. The stages of this research are as follows: (a) preparation of tools and materials; (b) manufacture of test items; (c) concrete treatment; (d) concrete testing, and (e) analysis and conclusions. This study concluded that the concrete brick material that is often made by the people of Kelurahan Petoaha is feasible to use.
