The current practice of viscoelastic numerical analysis based on the assumption of constant Poisson's ratio or constant bulk modulus - architecture-dependent modeling - is discussed in conjunction with the authentic material-based modeling based on the linear viscoelastic constitutive questions that require the temperature-dependent viscoelastic properties of shear and bulk moduli. The paper explains in detail how shear and bulk moduli are calculated from the viscoelastic Young's modulus, obtained from DMA testing, under the assumptions together with the critical implications of the assumptions. The property measurements for the authentic material-based modeling are then followed, specifically, (1) measurement of Young's modulus using DMA, (2) determination of bulk modulus from measured hydrostatic testing data using shift-factors obtained from Young's modulus master curve;and calculation of shear modulus from Young's modulus and bulk modulus. Warpage can be predicted accurately using the required properties, which can possibly offer a radically different approach to "design" warpage, in contrast to the conventional approach to "control" warpage.

In response to the widespread issue of valve stiction in process industries, a quantification method based on neural network and deviation product analysis has been proposed. Initially, loop data of varying degrees of stiction, including controller output and process variable, are generated. Through deviation product analysis, dynamic features within the non-stationary time series are extracted. Subsequently, a model capable of accurately identifying the degree of stiction was trained by employing neural network for deep learning on these features, along with a designed loss function that has dynamically adjustable weights. This approach achieved high-precision quantification of valve stiction. Experiments and dataanalysis have demonstrated the effectiveness of this method in practical industrial applications.

The observational data for 1979-2018 in the North Atlantic region have been used for the analysis of the heat fluxes. The dynamics of air-sea interaction between ocean and atmosphere has been modeled by the stochastic differential equation (SDE) which use the heat fluxes observations taken from those databased. The coefficients of the SDE represented the diffusion stochastic process have been statistically defined from the original dataset. Earlier the existence and uniqueness of the solution in strong sense of SDE generated by the modeled diffusion process has been proved. In the current work the drift and diffusion coefficients have been smoothed and approximated by the trigonometric functions with sought amplitude and phase characteristics within chosen year. Their spatial and temporal intra-annual variability of those characteristics has been studied and analyzed. Also, the corresponding Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov (FPK) equation for the SDE with smoothed coefficients has been constructed and numerically solved. Numerical calculations realized on the Lomonosov-2 supercomputer of the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

We outline a modeling and optimization strategy for investigating dynamic metabolic engineering interventions. Our framework is particularly useful at the early stages of research and development, often constrained by limited knowledge and experimental data. Elucidating a priori optimal trajectories of manipulatable intracellular fluxes can guide the design of suitable control schemes, e.g., cyber(ge)netic or in-cell approaches, and the selection of appropriate actuators, e.g., at the transcriptional or post-translational levels. Model-based dynamic optimization is proposed to predict optimal trajectories of target manipulatable intracellular fluxes. A challenge emerges as existing models are often oversimplified, lacking insights into metabolism, or excessively complex, making them difficult to build and implement. Here, we use surrogates derived from steady-state solutions of constraint-based metabolic models to link manipulatable intracellular fluxes to the process exchange rates of structurally simple hybrid dynamic models. The latter can be conveniently used in optimal control problems of metabolism. As a proof of concept, we apply our method to a reduced metabolic network of Escherichia coli considering two different scenarios of dynamic metabolic engineering. Copyright (c) 2024 The Authors.
