Evaporation ducts have an important impact on the propagation of electromagnetic waves near the sea surface. The short-term forecasting of regional evaporation ducts has important practical significance for radar, communication, etc. The development of machine learning technology has resulted in a wide range of applications in the field of meteorological forecasting. Recently, the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP) released the GraphCast Global Forecast System (GraphCastGFS), which is a new meteorological forecasting product based on the machine learning algorithm GraphCast. This study carried out a 168 h short-term forecast for the northern part of the South China Sea (SCS), based on the GraphCastGFS forecasting product and the NAVSLaM model. Taking ERA5 data as the benchmark value, a root-mean-square error (RMSE) analysis of the evaporation duct height (EDH) forecast results based on GraphCastGFS, and those of GFS, was performed. The results showed that the RMSE of the EDH forecast result based on GraphCastGFS was 3.0 m, and that of GFS was 3.4 m. The short-term forecasting accuracy of evaporation ducts based on GraphCastGFS was found to be marginally better than that of GFS, and the rapid data generation speed of GraphCastGFS further suggests its substantial potential in the field of evaporation duct forecasting.

Sulfadimidine (SM2) is an N-substituted derivative of p-aminobenzenesulfonyl structure. This study aimed to analyze the metabolism of SM2 in carp (Cyprinus carpio). The carps were fed with SM2 at a dose of 200 mg/(kg & sdot;bw) and then killed. The blood, muscle, liver, kidney, gill, other guts, and carp aquaculture water samples were collected. The UHPLC-Q-Exactive Plus Orbitrap-MS was adopted for determining the metabolites of SM2 in the aforementioned samples. Twelve metabolites, which were divided into metabolites in vivo and metabolites in vitro, were identified using Compound Discoverer software. The metabolic pathways in vivo of SM2 in carp included acetylation, hydroxylation, glucoside conjugation, glycine conjugation, carboxylation, glucuronide conjugation, reduction, and methylation. The metabolic pathways in vitro included oxidation and acetylation. This study clarified the metabolites and metabolic pathways of SM2 in carp and provided a reference for further pharmacodynamic evaluation and use in aquaculture.

As the kernel component of X-ray imaging systems, the mainstream flat-panel detectors suffer from image distortion and blurring when applied to irregular shaped objects, because of the non-conformal collocation between the detector and the object. Herein, by taking advantage of the robust glass-forming capability and versatile processability of (TPT)(2)MnBr4 (TPT = propyltriphenylphosphonium) scintillator, reconfigurable scintillation screen for conformal X-ray imaging is explored. Compared to the flexible polymer screens doped with micro-/nanoparticles, the melt-casted large-area (20 x 20 cm(2)) scintillation screens are homogeneous and immune to light scattering, thus manifesting optical transmittance of above 80% in the 525-800 nm range and high spatial resolution of 25.5 lp mm(-1). More impressively, the screen can be reconfigured in shape near its glass transition temperature, realizing continuous conformance with irregular or changeable objects. Exemplified by conformal X-ray imaging of a flexed elbow joint and a flexible circuit with variational shapes, the reconfigurable screens demonstrate superiorities in both image clarity (15 lp mm(-1) versus 3 lp mm(-1) for the conformal imaging versus non-conformal imaging) and reduction of radiation dosage. That, plus the scalable fabrication process and cost-effective raw materials, will promise reconfigurable glass scintillation screens great potential in customized medical diagnostics and industrial inspection.

After optimizing the logistics matching process, it is difficult to verify the feasibility of the optimization scheme in a short time through practice due to the rapid changes in the market. The Timed Petri Net theory, with the introduction of time parameters, can be used to model and simulate different schemes of the logistics matching process. By comparing and analyzing the simulation results of the optimization scheme and the original scheme, a conclusion on the verification of the optimization scheme is drawn, which provides a new idea for the feasibility verification of the logistics matching process optimization scheme.

Observing collaborative learning in real contexts has always been a problem because of the difficulty of representing the learning engagement, a multi-facet construct including behavior, cognition and emotion. This study adopts multimodal learning analytics to tackle it. Specifically, it is an integrated observation technic to represent it at both macro and micro levels through video coding and electroencephalogram (EEG) data mining. The analysis of a quasi-experiment was conducted to justify the feasibility. And this study also finds that learning engagement is related with the learning gain in collaborative learning.
