The air quality affects human health and energy. High levels of carbon dioxide in the air can cause serious ailments of a human body. Due to the increased attention to this issue, it is necessary to develop air quality control devices. The project is supposed to construct a prototype of the device for monitoring the content of carbon dioxide in indoor air. The development is based on the arduino uno microcontroller board, MH-Z19 NDIR infrared gas module, temperature and humidity module AM2302 and the LCD1602 module which is a interfaced to an I2C daughter board. The sensor control program is developed and compiled in the IDE software shell. The operating principle of the device is that it displays the data (CO2 level, temperature and humidity indoor) from the sensors on the LCD screen with a frequency of five minutes.

In order to solve the problem of inconvenience of the existing heart rate and oxygen detection device, a portable heart rate oximeter is proposed in this paper. The device can detect and display the value of the heart rate, temperature and blood oxygen of the human body at any time. The instrument gets rid of the cumbersomeness of traditional medical appliances, greatly reducing the volume of the instrument and making it easier to carry. The heart rate oxygen meter designed in this paper is intelligent and portable. It has a wide range of practical applications in theory. (C) 2020 The Authors. Published by Atlantis Press B.V.

Internet of things (IOT) imagines a world where every device at any place can be connected. It creates a world where the lights can automatically turn on, door gets opened automatically on the arrival of the family member and remains locked when any stranger arrives, coffee automatically brews off when the morning alarm goes off and many more applications. Internet of things is not the internet but it could be called as the network of the devices which are connected to the internet. In this direction many research work is going on. In this paper we have proposed the details of how we can automate the home appliances using arduino and REST architecture. The result also shows how the use of arduino and REST architecture is beneficial as compared to other available resources in the field of Internet of Things.

The use of underground pipelines is increasing due to various advantages such as reduced pipeline losses, reduced maintenance costs, and increased resistance to harsh weather conditions. The measurement of distance displayed on the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) varies whenever a system issue arises. There exists no subterranean cable which is greater than the previous approach because cables were meant to be positioned over the level of the head for a decade ago. Negative climate conditions, Storms, snow, torrential rains, and pollutants have no impact on under-ground lines, although it can be challenging to find a problem in an under-ground cable when it happens to a line. Underground cabling systems are more common in many urban areas. It is challenging to fix this specific cable even when the issue appears at that time because it is unclear where the cable failed because the problem is not clear. The work aims to solve this problem by proposing a suitable method for the digital age. This study has proposed a novel strategy based on Internet of Things (IOT) modules, Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) and Global Positioning System (GPS). arduino uno, a module-based technique using the Google database is employed to identify faults. In this research work, the primary component is arduino uno. Through the router, this study has established a communication hotspot. Here, each MCU was connected to a transformer, and its status is checked by using the Google database. When compared to other procedures, the proposed method is more accurate and effective. © 2023 IEEE.

There is growing interest in new techniques for producing power from waste materials because of the rising demand for electricity on a global scale as well as the urgent need to decrease waste and lessen environmental effect. This abstract offers a summary of the idea of producing power using waste materials and emphasises the possibility as a long-term and ecologically responsible energy source. Electricity is generated through the usage of waste materials in this research work. This study demonstrates how electricity is produced from waste materials, whenever there are waste items like paper, plastic, and other etc. As soon as the burning process in the Zaar box, heat energy is observed by both the heating panel and heat sensor. Afterward, the inverter circuit turns the heat into electricity. This is a real-world concept for producing electricity using garbage and plastic. In this study, when electricity starts to be stored, the resulting supply of power is off because of using a heating sensor. However, when electricity is perfectly stored, the heating sensor activates the output power supply and the LED bulb begins to glow. At that point, the study demonstrates how electricity is generated from waste materials. Additionally, the research work anticipates an increase in temperature while the Zaar box is producing heat. So, to measure the temperature, temperature sensor is connected along with Aurdino.. In this arduino, the required code to send the message is stored. GSM module is used to send the SMSand temperature sensor is used to detect the temperature. © 2023 IEEE.

Development of Inexpensive, Automatic, Real-Time Measurement System for On-Line Methane Content and Biogas Flowrate

Anaerobic digestion is widely used for waste treatment and biofuel production in the form of biogas from dedicated energy crops. Proper operation and control of anaerobic digesters require knowledge of biogas flow rate and methane composition of biogas. Methane content of biogas from an anaerobic digester was measured on-line by modifying an off-line measurement device, previously constructed by the authors, that uses a hydrocarbon sensor (MQ-4) and a pressure/temperature/humidity sensor (BME-280) integrated with an arduino uno. This modified on-line sensor was programmed to automatically measure methane composition by self-regulated introducing biogas samples and evacuating the device. It is also equipped with a function of biogas flowmeter which could calculate the cumulative biogas production over a time interval. Methane composition (v/v) could be measured every three hours. Measurements made by this device agreed within an average absolute difference of 0.81 +/- 0.58% with measurements by a gas chromatograph equipped with a thermal conductivity detector. The volumetric flow rate was directly expressed on a moisture-free basis at standard temperature and pressure. [GRAPHICS] .

Gas leaks are a serious safety hazard in many different commercial, residential, and industrial contexts. A Gas Leakage Detection System is designed, utilizing an arduino uno to solve this problem. In order to monitor and identify the presence of potentially dangerous gases like methane, propane, and carbon monoxide in the environment, this system combines the skills of an arduino uno with gas sensors. The system's brain, the arduino uno, processes data from the sensors and manages the alarm system. © 2023 IEEE.

This work considers the generation of pulse-like and bursting-like oscillations in some nonlinear dynamical systems using the microcontroller technology and their use in electromechanical systems. Using arduino uno programming language, it is seen that these special dynamical states can be easily produced in their real electrical nature. This constitutes an important and more reliable tool of producing nonlinear dynamical states. These special dynamical states are used to power electro dynamical systems. Due to the constant evolution of the technologies related to the Internet of Things and the great expansion of the protocols and devices that possibilitate their use, there is a need to enforce and to approach the study of its concepts and applications to the students of electronic engineering and technical university careers. In this work, a weather station is designed and built based on low-cost technologies, whose data can be visible through an online platform designed for this purpose. The weather station is oriented to be used in laboratory practices and for teaching of subjects related to IoT, sensing platforms, communication platforms, etc. The general objective of the low-cost weather station platform is to provide a didactic, portable and simple design for replication in classroom in order to provide a whole system from the beginning to the students. Thanks to the use of this low cost platform it was possible to perform better approach to this technology obtaining great improvements in the learning process of the students.

Real-Time Wireless Control for a Data Acquisition-Based Micro-Computer System

Real-time communications (RTC) wireless multi-channel data acquisition systems provide promising remote interactive solutions. This paper develops and implements wireless octet channels for data detection and processing. Data analysis and suitable control action are accomplished by using an arduino uno controller interfaced with the National Instruments (NI) LabVIEW virtual engineering toolset. A simple graphical user interface has been developed and implemented. Sensors for humidity, pulse, temperature and motion are used for reading the environmental parameters. The system can accommodate measurements of eight individual parameters at different reading speeds. In addition, high-accuracy data measurements can be obtained by using the mean values technique for the three sensors in cases such as temperature and humidity. An efficient storage technique for dated and timed data can be optimized to cancel all successive repeated measurements. Whenever the environmental parameters have been changed the system will store only the updated changes, thus providing an accurate enough description of the sensor output as well as significant reduction in required memory. Quad flags are implemented as the actuators triggering signals. The acquired data can be remotely monitored via either smartphones or computers located in the WI-FI local area network coverage area.
