Contamination with enniatins A, A1, B and B1 was investigated in 1240 samples of small grain cereals (470 wheat, 260 durum wheat, 282 spring barley, 172 triticale and 56 winter barley) from the french harvests of 2012 to 2014. Associations with fusarium avenaceum, f. tricinctum and f. poae were assessed, with the identification offusarium species by real-time PCR and mycotoxin quantification by LC-MS/MS. Enniatins were common in the fields sampled. Enniatin concentrations varied between years but were consistently highest on spring barley (mean values of 199 to 1316 mu g/kg) and triticale (mean values from 131 to 1218 mu g/kg), and lower on wheat (mean values from 47 to 142 mu g/kg) and durum wheat (mean values from 55 to 596 mu g/kg). The concentrations of the various enniatins were strongly correlated with each other (Pearson's correlation coefficient of 0.61 to 0.98). Enniatin B was the most frequent (68% of the total enniatin content), followed by enniatin B1 (22%), enniatin A1 (7%) and enniatin A (3%). fusarium species were quantified by calculating arithmetic mean total DNA levels. f. tricinctum was the most abundant (0.177 pg/ng total DNA), followed by f. avenaceum (0.141 pg/ng total DNA) and f. poae (0.091 pg/ng total DNA). Total DNA levels for each species, and the predominant species varied between years and crops. Small grain cereal species (p value < 0.001), harvest year (p value = < 0.001) and the presence off. avenaceum (p value < 0.001), f. tricinctum (p value < 0.001) or f. poae (p value = 0.017) affected enniatin content. f. tricinctum was the leading enniatin producer on durum wheat (29% to 45%) and spring barley (23 to 37%). f. avenaceum produced large amounts of enniatins on durum wheat (13% to 17%) and wheat (1% to 18%) and was the leading producer on triticale (30% to 55%). f. poae made a minor contribution on all crops, never accounting for more than 2% of total enniatin content. PurposeSpinal angiography is the gold standard for evaluation or diagnosis of spinal arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). However, some feeding arteries might be overlooked when multiple feeders exist. This study aimed to retrospectively review cases of spinal intra-dural AVMs, which were identified by three-dimensional digital subtraction angiography (3D-DSA), and attempted to estimate the number offeeding *** retrospectively reviewed patients with spinal intra-dural AVMs who underwent 3D-DSA at Hokkaido University Hospital from January 2005 to December 2016. We selected 9 patients in whom we could obtain data of multi-planar reconstruction of 3D-DSA. We measured the computed tomography (CT) values offeeding arteries and draining veins. The CT values represented the averages of maximum CT values of 5 continuous axial slices. The ratio of the CT value offeeders to that of drainers (f/D ratio) was calculated. Keloids mark a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by a fibroproliferative disorder of the skin. A genome-wide association study showed that single-nucleotide polymorphism rs8032158 in the neural precursor cell-expressed NEDD4 gene, which has six protein-coding transcript variants (TVs), is genetically linked to keloids. Here, we show that the high frequency of risk allele C in rs8032158 in keloid patients is associated with a selectively higher expression of TV3 of NEDD4 to activate the Nf-kB pathway. Comparisons of keloid scars with normal skin samples that do not have the single-nucleotide polymorphism allele and were derived from different anatomical sites showed stronger expressions of NEDD4 TV3 and activated forms of Nf-kB and STAT3 in keloid scars. forced expression or selective knockdown of NEDD4 TV3 increased or decreased Nf-kB activation in vitro. furthermore, NEDD4 knockdown suppressed Nf-kBedependent inflammation development in vivo. Mechanistic analysis showed that NEDD4 TV3 is involved in Nf-kB activation through its association with the adaptor protein RIP. These results suggest that NEDD4 TV3 is a potential diagnostic marker and therapeutic target for chronic skin diseases, including keloid.

The present study investigated the adsorption offluorides in natural zeolites clinoptilolite-type, sourced in Sonora, Mexico, and modified with fe. Characterization of the material was carried out along with determination of kinetic parameters varying time and concentration of reagents to calculate maximum adsorption capacity. To determine thermodynamic parameters temperature was varied for accurate characterization of the adsorption process. It was found that the zeolite fixed fe in its structure without model significant modification, likewise when put in contact with a fluoride solution (f-), it was capable of taking up these ions through adsorption due to the interaction between the sorbato and the pollutant. The kinetics best fit Pseudo-second-order model with Qmax=0.91 mgg(-1), therefore it indicates that the process is reversible, spontaneous and endothermic what can favor the reuse of the material.

This article focuses on Scandinavian creation theology by way of the anthropology of the Happy Dane, the theologian, author, hymn writer, poet, and pastor Nicolai frederik Severin Grundtvig (1783-1872). After having given two examples of Grundtvig's and Grundtvigians' encounter with USA in the past, it is demonstrated how the Lutheran Grundtvig, based on his positive and organic creation theology, fought ideas of creational hierarchies, whether slavery or subjection of women. Grundtvig logically and naturally connected his creation theology to a humanist anthropology of which not the devil but God was Creator and sole subject. As in Galatians 3:28, this encompassed a feminist view as he acknowledged two equal sexes and genders: all humans are equal regardless of color of the skin, sex, or belief and hence should have human rights equally.

Mitochondrial inheritance in fusarium zanthoxyli and f. continuum, two canker-inducing pathogens of prickly ash (Zanthoxylum bungeanum) in northern China, was investigated by genotyping ascospore progeny obtained from laboratory crosses. Polymorphic regions of the mitochondrial genomes (mitogenomes) that contained indels and single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified via comparative analyses of the complete mitogenomes of the parents used in the intraspecific crosses. A reciprocal genetic cross off. zanthoxyli NRRL 66714 x NRRL 66285, and a separate cross off. continuum f NRRL 66286 x o NRRL 66218, revealed that mitochondria were only inherited from the maternal parent. In addition, the reciprocal cross demonstrated that mitochondrial inheritance is not linked to mating type. Gene order in the circular mitogenomes of the prickly ash pathogens was identical to that previously reported for other fusaria and members of the Hypocreales, except that the TRNL tRNAs were duplicated in f. zanthoxyli NRRL 66714. The genomes contained 14 polypeptide-encoding genes involved in oxidative respiration, one intron-encoded ribosomal protein (rps3) gene, two ribosomal RNA (rRNA) genes, and 26-28 tRNA genes. The f. zanthoxyli mitogenomes were 80.9 and 98.7 kb in length, whereas those off. continuum were considerably shorter and nearly identical in length at 63.4 kb. The significant differences in mitogenome length were primarily due to variable numbers of introns and open reading frames (ORfs) encoding hypothetical proteins.

Sin embargo, hay diferencias en su composición que dependen de la especie, siendo más compleja en organismos como Saccharomyces cerevisiae o Bos taurus . Es por ello que una mejor comprensión de la estructura de la f 1 f O -ATP sintasa contribuirá a un mayor conocimiento a nivel molecular tanto de la función como de la regulación de este complejo enzimático. En la actualidad, se sabe muy poco acerca de la organización estructural de las subunidades de la región f O. Considerando lo anterior, en este trabajo se presenta información concerniente a las proteínas intrínsecas del dominio f O de las ATP sintasas más investigadas a la fecha, así como de algunas otras subunidades de membrana que se encuentran presentes en organismos menos estudiados. The f 1 f O -ATP synthase is a complex widely distributed in energy-transducing membranes. All ATPases, including the mitochondrial, chloroplastic and bacterial, share structural and functional similarities. However, there are differences in their composition that depend on the species, being more complex in organisms such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae or Bos taurus . This is why, a better understanding of the f 1 f O -ATP synthase structure will contribute to a greater knowledge at a molecular level, both of the function, and the regulation of this enzymatic complex. At present, very little is known about the structural organization of the subunits from the f O domain. Considering the former, this paper presents information concerning the intrinsic membrane proteins from the most researched f 1 f O -ATP synthases to date, as well as some other membrane subunits present in less studied organisms.

In this article, we pay attention to the analytical method named, the improved f -expansion method combined with Riccati equation for finding the exact traveling wave solutions of the Benney–Luke equation and the Phi-4 equation. By means of this method we have explored three classes of explicit solutions-hyperbolic, trigonometric and rational solutions with some free parameters. When the parameters are taken as special values, the solitary wave solutions are originated from the traveling wave solutions. Our outcomes disclose that this method is very active and forthright way offormulating the exact solutions of nonlinear evolution equations arising in mathematical physics and engineering.
