Energy-Saving control in Distributed Parameter Systems with Uniform Estimates of Target Sets

We propose a method for synthesizing energy-optimal controllers in open and closed domains of space-time control actions for linear multidimensional objects with distributed parabolic parameters under the conditions of a given accuracy of uniform approximation of the final state of the system to the desired spatial distribution of the controlled variable. The approach is based on the previously developed alternance method for constructing parameterizable algorithms of optimal program control, which uses the fundamental laws of the subject area. It is shown that the desired equations of the controllers are reduced to linear feedback laws with restrictions on incomplete observation of the state of the object with nonstationary transmission coefficients, which are determined by preliminary calculation of the program control action.

The work develops the theory of real-time management of agricultural technologies. This development is aimed at increasing the efficiency of this type of management. It is achieved through a deeper use of Earth remote sensing data, on the basis of which the parameters of the state of crops, weeds and the soil environment are assessed. Such assessments are formed at the onset of pre-selected phenological phases of crop development. Due to the selection of these phenophases, the growing season of the crop is divided into separate management intervals. For the end of each management interval, local management goals are preliminarily determined to ensure the achievement of the final management goal - the specified crop yield. In this case, in order to obtain a sequence of local control goals, a program control problem is first solved, based on the results of which an optimal program for the evolution of the state of crop sowing is formed from the germination phenophase to the final result. The results obtained have no analogues in modern agricultural science. #CSOC1120

Purpose Hundreds of digital beam position monitor processors(DBPM)are required to be produced during the construction of projects such as High Energy Photon Source(HEPS)and the upgrade project of the Beijing Electron Positron Collider(BEPCII),which brings great challenges to the test *** order to achieve accurate,fast,and complete mass production tests of DBPMs,an automatic test system(ATS)has been developed in this *** According to the test items of DBPM,the standardized testing softwareﬂow is designed based on virtual instru-ment program control technology and experimental physics and industrial control system(EPICS),which realize automatic adjustment of test parameters and automatic acquisition of test result *** and conclusions The ATS can realize one-button testing of channel coefﬁcients,channel linearity,attenuator linearity,beam current dependence(BCD)and sampling signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),and generate test *** total test time is less than 3 minutes,which is signiﬁcantly more efﬁcient compared to manual *** than 90 BEPCII DBPMs has been tested by this ATS in the *** test results proved that such a system could automatically recognize defective products and satisfy the requirements of mass testing.

By the thermal processing of the metals we can achieve the principal changes of their microstructure and likewise also principal changes of their mechanical and physical properties. When choosing a suitable heat processing for a specific application we rise from the required properties and knowledge about structural changes which are in the progress in the thermal changes. The solution of the speed up problem and increase heating quality of the metals belongs to the basic development trends of the thermal technique in the all industrial advanced states. The choice of the suitable mode of the metals heating is the problem that we also have in the steel coil annealing. In this paper is described program control of the steel coil annealing. The task of the program control is to ensure required behavior of the inner indirect measured temperature obtained from the system of the indirect measurement during which time control process variable is directly measured atmosphere temperature. Presented method rises from analyze of existence dependencies between atmosphere temperature and temperature inside the coil. The proposed control algorithm was verified with utilization of the simulation model for annealing process of the steel coils which is based on the system of indirect measurement of the inner temperatures.

Environmental radiation monitoring networks have been established in Europe and world-wide for the purpose of protecting population and environment against ionizing radiation. Some of these networks had been established during the cold war period and were improved after the Chernobyl accident in 1986. Today, the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) operates an early warning network with roughly 1800 ambient dose equivalent rate (ADER) stations equally distributed over the German territory. The hardware and software of all network components are developed in-house allowing the continuous optimization of all relevant components. A probe characterization and quality assurance and control program are in place. Operational and technical aspects of the network and data harmonization techniques are described. The latter allows for calculating of the terrestrial and net ADER combined with uncertainties mainly from site specific effects. Harmonized data are finally used as input to the German emergency management system and the European radiological data exchange platform.

Biological control of alfalfa snout beetle with persistent entomopathogenic nematodes: Expanding a single farm's success to an area-wide biological control program

Alfalfa snout beetle, Otiorhynchu ligustici (L.) (ASB), remains the most serious insect pest impacting alfalfa production in North America. Its minor status is directly related to its limited North American distribution of nine counties in northern New York State and a small portion of Ontario, Canada, across the St. Law-rence River from the U.S. infestation (>200,000 hectares; Fig. 1). Within its infested area, this root-feeding partheno-genic flightless insect of European origin frequently kills entire alfalfa stands in a single year. Emerging adult populations can frequently exceed 2 million beedes per hectare, and with a host range of more than 20 common plants, once an area is infested with this insect, it is considered permanently infested. An in-depth discussion of this insect's introduction to the U.S., as wellas its distribution, life history, economic impact, and attempts at management were reported in an earlier American Entomologist article (Shields et al. 2009).

Invasive alien species represent one of the greatest threats to island ecosystems and the unique species that inhabit them. In many instances, eradication or control programs for invasive alien species have effectively curtailed the ongoing loss of biodiversity on islands. Prevention is a more proactive and cost-effective approach, however, and is an emerging global priority in the conservation of island ecosystems. Island biosecurity programs attempt to prevent the introduction and establishment of invasive alien species on islands and dictate actions when an invasive species is detected. Targeted and robust collaboration efforts among the global island community on biosecurity advances and challenges can strengthen and improve local biosecurity programs. In this paper we review the principal tenets of island biosecurity-prevention, detection, and response-using case studies of current island biosecurity programs from New Zealand, Chile, Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Systematic evaluations of biosecurity activities are necessary to ensure that programs are effective and relevant. Key priority actions for the future include strengthening global collaboration on biosecurity through holding annual meetings, sharing resources online, leveraging funding opportunities, and forming working groups that will be engaged in improving critically important but under-resourcal biosecurity programs.

Viable metacercariae of Opisthorchis viverrini in northeastern Thai cyprinid fish dishes-as part of a rational program for control of O. viverrini-associated cholangiocarcinoma

Among the various types of chronic helminthic infections, only schistosomiasis hematobium, opisthorchiasis, and clonorchiasis in a long-standing inflammation are found to be causative agents of cancer. Opisthorchiasis and Opisthorchis viverrini-associated bile duct cancer are prevalent among the residents in northeastern Thailand, who prefer consuming raw or improperly cooked cyprinid fish. Although numerous studies have reported on the presence of O. viverrini metacercariae in freshwater cyprinid fishes, none of the data has been derived directly from cyprinid fish dishes. Here, we have demonstrated the presence of viable metacercariae in a number of cyprinid fish dishes that are among the favorite foods of northeastern Thais. Traditional salt-fermented and grilled cyprinid fish were found to be safe to consume, but not raw fish salad or cyprinid fish fermented in sticky rice for 69 h. This information could be used as part of a rational and sustainable control program for O. viverrini-associated bile duct cancer.

Study on the Fabrication of White Organic Light-Emitting Devices Using the Doping Characteristics of Rubrene and programmed Test Circuit

A white organic light emitting device with structure of ITO/2T-NATA(20)/NPBX(15)/DPVBi(15)/Alq:Rub(10, x)/A1q3(40)/LiF/A1 was fabricated using doping rubrene. When the concentration of rubrene is 3 wt.%, the chromaticity is the best (0.319, 0.317), and the color coordinates are stable. When the thickness of the doping layer is 20 nm, the efficiency and luminance of the devices are the highest, which are 5.1022 cd/A and 17130 cd/m(2), respectively. On the basis, a test system is consisted of Solomon's OLED display control driver chip 5SD1306 and microcontroller AT89C52, which tests the OLED dot matrix through the program to determine whether the matrix has dead point. Through experimental comparison, the test results are consistent with the external power supply test. The system has the characteristics of high efficiency and display characters of dynamic and static pictures, which provides a feasible driving method for the practical application of OLED.
