Co-delivery of chemotherapeutic drug and microRNA is a promoting strategy for tumor therapy due to its synergistic *** our study,hydrophobic doxorubicin(DOX) and negative miR-34 a were simultaneously delivered by self-assembly micelles system(SHRss) which using poly(l-arginine)-poly(l-histidine)-stearoyl as the building unit for *** SHRss micelles possessed a low critical micelle concentration(CMC) with positive surface charges and *** addition,it facilitated the escaping of miR-34 a from endosome and release of DOX into cell nucleus,leading to the inhibition of DU145 and PC3 androgen independent prostate cancer ***,co-delivery of DOX and miR-34 a by SHRss micelles passively targeted in tumor tissue and a synergistic anti-proliferative efficiency was observed compared with DOX as well as the miR-34 a treatment alone in *** results demonstrated that the SHRss micelles are promising strategy for combined therapeutic strategy of genes and hydrophobic chemotherapeutic drugs.
