Improve the secure key rate and the limited communication distance is the main goal in the field of quantum key distribution. Measurement-device-independent quantum key distribution, not only removes all detector side channel attacks, but also doubles the secure transmission distance. However, most of measurement-device -independent quantum key distribution protocols are non-deterministic. In this paper, we propose a measurement-device-independent deterministic quantum key distribution protocol that doubles the secure distance and amends the non-deterministic factor of current measurement-device -independent quantum key distribution. And with imperfect devices model assumption, we derived the formula of the performances for it and find that the limited distance can be extended over 200km with relatively high secure key rate by employing parameters of current technologies.

Graph Neural Network (GNN)-based fake news detectors apply various methods to construct graphs, aiming to learn distinctive news embeddings for classification. Since the construction details are unknown for attackers in a black-box scenario, it is unrealistic to conduct the classical adversarial attacks that require a specific adjacency matrix. In this paper, we propose the first general black-box adversarial attack framework, i.e., General Attack via Fake Social Interaction (GAFSI), against detectors based on different graph structures. Specifically, as sharing is an important social interaction for GNN-based fake news detectors to construct the graph, we simulate sharing behaviors to fool the detectors. Firstly, we propose a fraudster selection module to select engaged users leveraging local and global information. In addition, a post injection module guides the selected users to create shared relations by sending posts. The sharing records will be added to the social context, leading to a general attack against different detectors. Experimental results on empirical datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of GAFSI. In light of the inherently complex and dynamic nature of real-world environments, incorporating risk measures is crucial for the robustness evaluation of deep learning models. In this work, we propose a Risk-Averse Certification framework for Bayesian neural networks called RAC-BNN. Our method leverages sampling and optimisation to compute a sound approximation of the output set of a BNN, represented using a set of template polytopes. To enhance robustness evaluation, we integrate a coherent distortion risk measure—Conditional Value at Risk (CVaR)—into the certification framework, providing probabilistic guarantees based on empirical distributions obtained through sampling. We validate RAC-BNN on a range of regression and classification benchmarks and compare its performance with a state-of-the-art method. The results show that RAC-BNN effectively quantifies robustness under worst-performing risky scenarios, and achieves tighter certified bounds and higher efficiency in complex tasks. This paper is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in fault tolerance methods for cloud computing. Maintaining high availability and reliability of cloud environments requires fault tolerance. This paper explores fault tolerance in the context of cloud computing and discusses recent challenges and innovations in the field. Moreover, it examines the ongoing research efforts to improve fault-tolerance architectures. At the end of the paper, the paper presents system-level metrics that are relevant to fault tolerance.

Dynamic multiobjective optimization problems (DMOPs) have posed considerable hurdles for traditional evolutionary optimization techniques due to the perpetual variations in their Pareto-optimal sets (PSs) and fronts (PFs). Prediction-based methods have shown promise in swiftly tracking these alterations. However, the majority of current methods rely on linear models to anticipate changing PSs, which can be limiting. When PSs across different environments exhibit nonlinear patterns, accurately predicting the PS in a novel problem becomes challenging. To address this issue, this study introduces a dynamic multiobjective evolutionary optimization algorithm leveraging long short-term memory (LSTM) network predictions. In our approach, the PS of each problem is first divided into several clusters, and the center of each cluster can then be obtained. Thereafter, the cluster centers for the PSs of the problems with different environments form a number of time series. Subsequently, the LSTM network models are trained using the time seriesdata as training samples. Furthermore, the cluster centers of the new PS are predicted utilizing the trained models. LSTM networks excel at capturing historical information and modeling nonlinear relationships, ensuring high prediction accuracy. To enhance the algorithm’s performance, a novel population-generation strategy is employed, ensuring a well-converged and diverse initial population. The proposed algorithm is rigorously tested using benchmark functions, and the results demonstrate its effectiveness in handling DMOPs, outperforming state-of-the-art algorithms. © 2024, The Authors. Surgical workflow recognition is vital for automating tasks, supporting decision-making, and training novice surgeons, ultimately improving patient safety and standardizing procedures. However, data corruption can lead to performance degradation due to issues like occlusion from bleeding or smoke in surgical scenes and problems with data storage and transmission. Therefore, a robust workflow recognition model is urgently needed. In this case, we explore a robust graph-based multimodal approach to integrating vision and kinematic data to enhance accuracy and reliability. Vision data captures dynamic surgical scenes, while kinematic data provides precise movement information, overcoming limitations of visual recognition under adverse conditions. We propose a multimodal Graph Representation network with Adversarial feature Disentanglement (GRAD) for robust surgical workflow recognition in challenging scenarios with domain shifts or corrupted data. Specifically, we introduce a Multimodal Disentanglement Graph Network (MDGNet) that captures fine-grained visual information while explicitly modeling the complex relationships between vision and kinematic embeddings through graph-based message modeling. To align feature spaces across modalities, we propose a Vision-Kinematic Adversarial (VKA) framework that leverages adversarial training to reduce modality gaps and improve feature consistency. Furthermore, we design a Contextual Calibrated Decoder, incorporating temporal and contextual priors to enhance robustness against domain shifts and corrupted data. Extensive comparative and ablation experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our model and proposed modules. Specifically, we achieved an accuracy of 86.87% and 92.38% on two public datasets, respectively. Moreover, our robustness experiments show that our method effectively handles data corruption during storage and transmission, exhibiting excellent stability and robustness. This paper proposes an extended interconnection and damping assignment passivity-based control technique (IDA-PBC) to control the pressure dynamics in the fuel delivery subsystem (FDS) of proton exchange membrane fuel cells. The fuel cell stack is a distributed parameter model which can be modeled by partial differential equations (PDEs). In this paper, the segmentation concept is used to approximate the PDEs model by ordinary differential equations (ODEs) model. Therefore, each segments are having multiple ODEs to obtain the lump-sum model of the segments. Subsequently, a generalized multi-input multi-output lumped parameters model is developed in port-Hamiltonian framework based on mass balance to minimize the modeling error. The modeling errors arises due to the difference between spatially distributed pressures in FDS segments, and also due to the difference between the actual stack pressure and the measured output pressure of the anode. The segments interconnection feasibilities are ensured by maintaining passivity of each segment. With consideration of re-circulation and bleeding of the anode in the modeling, an extended energy-shaping and output tracking IDA-PBC based state-feedback controller is proposed to control the spatially distributed pressure dynamics in the anode. Furthermore, a sliding mode observer of high order is designed to estimate the unmeasurable pressures in FDS with known disturbances. Performance recovery of output feedback control is accomplished with explicit stability analysis. While reinforcement learning has shown experimental success in a number of applications, it is known to be sensitive to noise and perturbations in the parameters of the system, leading to high variability in the total reward amongst different episodes on slightly different environments. To introduce robustness, as well as sample efficiency, risk-sensitive reinforcement learning methods are being thoroughly studied. In this work, we provide a definition of robust reinforcement learning policies and formulate a risk-sensitive reinforcement learning problem to approximate them, by solving an optimization problem with respect to a modified objective based on exponential criteria. In particular, we study a model-free risk-sensitive variation of the widely-used Monte Carlo Policy Gradient algorithm, and introduce a novel risk-sensitive online Actor-Critic algorithm based on solving a multiplicative Bellman equation using stochastic approximation updates. Analytical results suggest that the use of exponential criteria generalizes commonly used ad-hoc regularization approaches, improves sample efficiency, and introduces robustness with respect to perturbations in the model parameters and the environment. Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) poses a significant threat to cardiovascular patients worldwide, underscoring the critical importance of automated CAD diagnostic technologies in clinical practice. Previous technologies for lesion assessment in Coronary CT Angiography (CCTA) images have been insufficient in terms of interpretability, resulting in solutions that lack clinical reliability in both network architecture and prediction outcomes, even when diagnoses are accurate. To address the limitation of interpretability, we introduce the Trusted Lesion-Assessment Network (TLA-Net), which provides a clinically reliable solution for multi-view CAD diagnosis: (1) The causality-informed evidence collection constructs a causal graph for the diagnostic process and implements causal interventions, preventing confounders’ interference and enhancing the transparency of the network architecture. (2) The clinically-aligned uncertainty integration hierarchically combines Dirichlet distributions from various views based on clinical priors, offering confidence coefficients for prediction outcomes that align with physicians’ image analysis procedures. Experimental results on a dataset of 2,618 lesions demonstrate that TLA-Net, supported by its interpretable methodological design, exhibits superior performance with outstanding generalization, domain adaptability, and robustness.
