In recent years, several industries have increased their demand for processing precision, automatic detection, and visualization interfaces. Therefore, to keep pace with the fourth industrial revolution, machine tool operators install a large number of sensors on machine tools to obtain more precise physical quantities during processing and use a variety of sensors to obtain measurements in various situations. However, these additional sensors on machine tools result in complicated wire layouts, which exhibit negative effects on processing. Such problems lead to the birth of wireless data transmission, which is expected to become the new standard in the future. At present, there is more and more interactive integration between relevant embedded system and the machine tool, which allows information communication between each other in the wireless domain. However, generally, the majority of machine tool operators focus on optimizing the sensing conditions during processing, but they disregard the importance of information security. In the current era of the Internet of Things (IoT), information security is regarded as a crucial factor. For the wireless communication between the IoT equipment for each machine in the machining field, the transmitted data are almost exposed within public space directly due to the loss in constraint and protection of physical wiring. Therefore, such a process can easily be intercepted by other devices that capture information on relevant status of the machine or command messages received by the controller, where intentional individual may possibly control the operating mechanism and progress of entire plant. This leads to theft of relevant secrets in manufacturing technology for the subject company, or intentional shutdown, machine damage, and vicious blackmailing attacks. This paper applies ant colony optimization (ACO) algorithm for the dual-pin flying probe circuit board inspection optimal path searching problem. First, the proposed approach creates a representation for circuit inspection path, which groups and encodes the measurement endpoints into a sequence. Moreover, the ant colony algorithm with the sequence can be used to solve the complex circuit optimal problem. The experimental results show that the best solutions of ACO are performed better than other algorithms. © 2023 IEEE.

Since 2019, the world has suffered from the outbreak of the "Coronavirus Disease (COVID)-19 pandemic. This study used the principle of Ultraviolet (UV)-C disinfection to produce a mobile high-power UV-C sterilizer. It focused on combining intelligent control systems, human sensors, and Internet of Things (IoT) systems to carry out disinfection tasks in unmanned indoor spaces. Because of its mobile nature, the sterilizer could be moved at any time in various learning, research, and activity rooms for disinfection. In addition to manually controlling the sterilizer, a Wi-Fi or Narrowband (NB)-IoT-enabled remote control was provided to start the disinfection process. In order to prevent ultraviolet light from harming the human body, sensors were employed self-acting to detect the presence of people and turn off the ultraviolet light when people were detected in the area. At the same time, a camera on the sterilizer would capture an image and notify the relevant personnel through a LINE notification, to prevent the human body from being exposed to ultraviolet light, causing harm to the teachers and students on campus. During operation, voice broadcast reminders and a status indicator could provide information about the operation status. After disinfection, users could view the disinfection process through a mobile device application or a webpage, which would automatically notify relevant personnel of the disinfection status through a LINE notification. In this way, the disinfection progress could be updated at anytime, anywhere and the current disinfection status in the classroom could be displayed in real-time, allowing teachers and students on campus to carry out teaching and learning in a safe and secure environment. © The Author(s).

An audio watermarking technique using Complementary Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition and group differential relations of average absolute amplitudes of the last Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF) is proposed. By using group differential relations, the relationship with neighboring samples in the last IMF is well preserved, and near-imperceptibility can be achieved. Placing a watermark on low-frequency components, the last IMF, which is perceptually significant, therefore makes the watermark difficult to be removed. The embedding watermark, which is a logo image in our experiment, is processed by Arnold transformation, secret key encryption, and Bose–Chaudhuri–Hocquenghem coding to enhance robustness and security. Experimental results of the signal-to-noise ratio fit the recommendations of imperceptibility of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. The average Objective Difference Grade (an objective measure that correlates very well with subjective assessment) and subjective quality assessment were performed to evaluate the imperceptibility. Furthermore, our method accomplishes robustness under 13 different categories of attacks, including noise corruption, amplitude scaling, echo addition, resampling, re-quantization, low-pass filtering, MPEG-1 Audio Layer III compression, Digital-to-Analog/Analog-to-Digital conversion, cropping, time shift, zero thresholding, jittering, and combined attacks. © 2023 Authors. This study presents the design of a user-centered data visualization dashboard for stroke rehabilitation, which integrates the principles of visualization data analytics techniques in the field of healthcare. Addressing the complexities of visualizing for robotic bimanual rehabilitation, the design introduces novel methods to enhance data visualization, broadening monitoring capabilities, and improving the clarity of torque data. These enhancements lead to a clearer understanding of patient robot interactions. A prototype has been developed to visualize transparent torque data from a bimanual master slave robotic system, enabling healthcare professionals to monitor patient progress effectively. The dashboard features intuitive visual representations of master, slave, and assistive torques, simulating elbow joint movements through line and sunburst charts. Feedback from rehabilitation therapists during the design process ensures that the visualization approach is aligned with clinical needs. The findings suggest that the system can assist physiotherapists in devising personalized treatment strategies by providing actionable insights from the recorded data. However, additional research is needed to integrate real clinical data into the system for further enhancement and validation. This innovation has the potential to significantly improve stroke rehabilitation effectiveness and patient outcomes through a bimanual rehabilitation visualization and decision support system. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper proposes a measurement technique for an integrated complex filter. The proposed method is based on two measurement methods with integrated circuitry for calibration. It is accomplished by applying square waves to an FUT (Filter Under Test) instead of sinusoidal waves or by superposing transfer characteristics obtained by applying a single sinusoidal wave to an FUT. In both of the above methods, the output signal connected to the external measurement equipment via a 50 Ω coaxial cable and so on. In this case, the output signal of the FUT should be amplified by internal or external amplifiers, which degrades the response. However, it is cancelled out by the proposed calibration circuitry with some analog switches. In addition to the above, for the RC polyphase filter, the source resistance and the load capacitance degrade the measurement results and their effect is discussed. The validity of the proposal is confirmed through computer simulation for a third-order RCPF whose passband is 8–40 MHz fabricated by Phenitec 0.6 µm CMOS process. It is shown that the measurement error is −1.10 dB for the square-wave method and −1.00 dB and −0.43 degrees for the superposition method at 40 MHz. © 2025 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

A vehicle has a license plate and can be identified by the license number attached to the vehicle plate. For detection and recognition, multimedia sensors can be used so that it requires a vehicle tracking application that has a vehicle monitoring function and has implications for various fields. One of them is a multimedia sensor that requires an optimal design and method in the form of the number of multimedia sensors to be used, the placement of the multimedia sensor positions and solutions in the event of a system failure. To achieve multimedia sensor performance, research on multimedia sensors is carried out using a camera type with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) technology which is similar to a pair of right and left eyes to see an object. The objects detected were 2 cars, where the car passed the camera sensor at a speed of 10-15 km/hour 20 times. Changes in the distance of the vehicle to the camera affect the disparity value and the object's accuracy value, namely and the object's Accuracy value of the minimum disparity value of 6.20×106 of 16.88×109. © 2022 ACM.

The impacts incurred by floods regularly affect the planets population, inflicting social and economic problems. Optimal control strategies based on reservoir management may aid in controlling floods and mitigating the resulting damage. To this end, an accurate dynamic representation of water systems is needed. In practice, flood control strategies rely on hydrological forecasting models obtained fromconceptual or data-drivenmethods. Encouraged by recent works, this research proposes a novel surrogate model for water flow in a river channel based on physics-informed neural networks (PINNs). This approach achieved promising results regarding the assimilation of real-data measurements and the parameter identification of differential equations that govern the underlying dynamics. This article investigates PINN performance in a simulated environment built directly from a configuration of the Saint-Venant equations. The objective is to create a suitable model with high prediction accuracy and scientifically consistent behavior for use in real-Time applications. The experiments revealed promising results for hydrological modeling and presented alternatives to solve the main challenges found in conventional methods while assisting in synthesizing real-world representations. Impact Statement-The research seeks to contribute to the hydrological modeling area with a surrogate model based on physicsinformed neural networks (PINNs) to water flow in a watershed. In practice, thesemodels use conceptual or *** models to reach the precision provided by themethodology use large numbers of physical parameters. Skin pathologies encompass a spectrum of conditions, with malignancies such as melanoma representing a critical diagnostic urgency. This investigation delineates the deployment of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for the classification of dermatological anomalies, benchmarking CNN diagnostic fidelity against dermatological expert evaluations. The study underscores the efficacy of CNN classifiers in expediting the diagnostic workflow for various cutaneous disorders. Advocating for an automated diagnostic framework, the research introduces a CNN-based system aimed at reducing human diagnostic load, accelerating diagnostic timelines, and enhancing survival outcomes. Utilizing advanced image processing algorithms and deep learning architectures, the research presents an automated classification system for skin pathologies, addressing both benign and malignant presentations. The classification matrix includes nine dermatological conditions: actinic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma, benign keratosis, dermatofibroma, melanoma, nevus, seborrheic keratosis, squamous cell carcinoma, and vascular lesions. The objective is to engineer a CNN model with robust diagnostic performance across a diverse lesion dataset, ensuring accurate identification and categorization of dermatological conditions. © 2024 IEEE.
