In this paper, we present first of all the working principles of an accuracy based learning classifier system. We also discuss the use of learning classifier systems for learning from data by considering a sample application. The sample application, the Terrain Reasoner Weight Adapter (TRWA), is a system that learns near optimal weights to be used by a path planner while generating routes. Manually generated weights are used to generate a sample data set for training the TRWA. We detail the TRWA and the significant improvements made to the usual XCS strategies in order to achieve our goal of using a supervised learning technique for the TRWA. A reward assignment scheme is developed. The use of tournament selection instead of roulette wheel selection for selecting two parents in the GA is also analyzed. The results obtained show the efficiency of the method.

Many researches in foreign country for finding similar texts are in progress using the semantic language resources like WordNet. However, in the domestic situation, the language resources like WordNet are still insufficient and so, researches for finding similar texts methods based on it or the methods for utilizing it are insufficient, too. Most of the previous domestic researches for finding similar texts used only the words that occur in texts. For Dubois rough fuzzy sets, the membership of the lower or upper approximations is defined as the elements memberships' infimum or supsmum in equivalent class. As a result of not considering the elements whose memberships are between the minimum and maximum, some useful information of these elements may be lost in the information processing. The paper presents a new operator of rough fuzzy sets that every element's membership in equivalent class is taken into account. Based on the new operator, algebra properties are put forward and rough fuzzy membership is defined. Moreover, the paper presents accurate degree, classified quality, dependence degree and attribute reduction algorithm. At last, an example proves that the algorithm is efficient.

In this paper, a role-based access control (KBAC) model is applied and extended to a multimedia version called multi-role based access control (MRBAC), which can fully support the comprehensive and multilevel security control requirements of the distributed multimedia applications. The object-oriented concept is adopted in MRBAC to perform the hybrid role hierarchy management and security roles and rules administration. In summary, MRBAC can: 1) support the multi-level security protection for multimedia data; 2) provide access control by checking both the time constrains and IP addresses; and 3) decentralize the administration functions to make the access control management more efficient.

This paper is dealing with redundant optoelectronic data transmission with special respect to laser channels. The concept of the generalized erasure channel (GEC) is used to determine the probability of undetected error for some binary symmetric and non-symmetric channels protected by appropriate codes. In detail, communication via different binary symmetric channels (BSCs), generalized erasure channels and symmetrized binary non symmetric channels (BNSCs) is investigated. Simple upper bounds are given, relating the new formulas to that one of the BSC Finally the results in connection with an inequality for proper codes are applied to multi wavelength optical transmission through channels generated by semiconductor lasers.

Web search becomes more and more personalized and this requires that the search agent has some "intelligent" to satisfy specific requirements of different users. This paper reports a fuzzy intelligent search agent and shows its great advantages. A detail example has been given to illustrate the pros and cons of the fuzzy approach. We have addressed the improvement of production efficiency and the review of business process for an automotive parts supplier, and the goal of this study is the development of production management software. This paper describes the business result analysis in printing process and a formulation of the tacit procedure by observing worker's empirical rule to develop the knowledge-based scheduling software. The whole of business processes are clarified by our previous researches, and the scheduling problem of printing process has been mainly discussed. Previously the printing process has been improved only by theoretical aspect, however it cannot flexibly respond to the change of production conditions such as the dispersion of order, the interrupt of urgent task, and the inventory quantity of parts in spite of the actual field can handle these. Therefore this paper regards that the technical know-how of tacit knowledge in the actual printing field is absolutely necessary factor in response to the change of production conditions, and a formulation designed to the minimization of setup operation are expressed.

The robust stability and stabilization, and H-infinity control problems for discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems with parameter uncertainties are discussed. Based on the restricted system equivalent (r.s.e.) transformation and by introducing new state vectors, the singular system is transformed into a discrete-time Markovian jump standard linear system, and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions for the discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems to be regular, causal, stochastically stable, and stochastically stable with 7- disturbance attenuation are obtained, respectively. With these conditions, the robust state feedback stochastic stabilization problem and H-infinity control problem are solved, and the LMI conditions are obtained. A numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the method given in the oaoer.

Large test data volume and high test power are two of the major concerns for the industry when testing large integrated circuits. With given test cubes in scan-based testing, the ldquodonpsilat-carerdquo bits can be exploited for test data compression and/or test power reduction. Prior work either targets only one of these two issues or considers to reduce test data volume and scan shift power together. In this paper, we propose a novel capture power-aware test compression scheme that is able to keep scan capture power under a safe limit with little loss in test compression ratio. Experimental results on benchmark circuits demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed approach.
