Applicability of denoising-based artificial intelligence to forecast the environmental externalities

The current study attempts to compare the hybrid artificial intelligence models to forecast the environmental externalities in Saudi *** have used the denoising based artificial intelligence models to construct hybrid *** comparing the denoising techniques,the CSD-based denoising has ***,we have used the CSD-based hybrid ***-ANN and CSD-RNN are used for denoising-based artificial intelligence models,whereas CSD-ARIMA is used for denoising-based traditional *** these models are used to check and compare their performance in terms of level and direction of prediction for PM_(10).The results show that the CSD-based ANN model has a higher predictability for PM_(10) levels in Saudi Arabia due to low error values and higher Dstat *** comparing original and forecasted data,the superiority of CSD-ANN is evident in predicting the PM_(10) in Saudi ***,this hybrid model can predict the environmental externalities for non-linear and highly noised ***,the findings can be useful in achieving the sustainable development goal.

This article proposes a novel design approach for miniaturized, highly selective, self-packaged, and wide-stopband filtering slot antennas based on C- and T-type folded substrate integrated waveguide (C-/T-FSIW) cavities. Firstly, two forms of FSIW cavity are explored and analyzed. A new coupled C-type half-mode FSIW (C-HMFSIW) cavities are developed. A filtering antenna is proposed, employing a C-HMFSIW cavity for feeding and a slot-loaded C-FSIW cavity for radiation. By introducing cross-coupling between different resonators, a radiation null (RN) is achieved. To further enhance bandwidth and frequency selectivity, a new antenna configuration is developed using a C-HMFSIW cavity for feeding and a slot-loaded T-FSIW cavity for radiation. After loading the radiation slot, the T-FSIW cavity serves as two parts: one as the main radiator and the other as a parasitic radiator opposite to it. This configuration increases antenna bandwidth and generates an additional RN. Interestingly, adjusting the position of the radiation slot allows the RN to switch between the upper and lower stopbands. The antennas proposed in this work exhibit good stopband performance and compact size. Three filtering antenna prototypes are designed, fabricated, and measured, showing consistent results between measurements and simulations. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

The sixth-generation(6G) wireless network will support ubiquitous connectivity and diversified scenarios to satisfy the requirements of various emerging applications. Full spectrum is a key enabler for6G to achieve the ambitious goal of a Tbps-scale data rate. In this paper, we first review the scenario and potential spectrum plan for 6G and then focus on SpectrumChain, a blockchain-based dynamic spectrumsharing(DSS) framework for 6G. The unique characteristics of blockchain for DSS are presented along with key technologies. Finally, the conclusion and future development trends are discussed.

This paper proposes a grey-box model for IPMSMs (Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors) that accounts for the nonlinear relationship between currents and torque directly. IPMSMs with high power density typically exhibit complex torque characteristics due to the effects of magnetic saturation and spatial harmonics, necessitating the introduction of various nonlinear compensation tables based on magnetic field analysis to ensure control performance. However, inputting data without considering the physical properties can lead to many variables and increased memory usage, which does not necessarily improve control performance. Consequently, models representing magnetic saturation characteristics with a reduced number of parameters, as well as torque estimation methods, are under investigation. Moreover, advancements in high-precision and rapid-response torque sensors, along with magnetic field analysis technologies, have enabled detailed offline measurements of IPMSM torque, with promising prospects for control applications. In this study, we propose an Extended Torque Coefficient (ETC) matrix to express the grey-box model for control purposes, utilizing accurate map data reflective of the actual machine. In addition, the proposed model can be applied to calculate torque gradient in the current vector space, which is maximize torque control performance, while maintaining the ETC matrix. © 2024 IEEE.

Output Linearization of Single-Input Single-Output Fuzzy system to Improve Accuracy and Performance

For fuzzy systems to be implemented effectively,the fuzzy membership function(MF)is essential.A fuzzy system(FS)that implements precise input and output MFs is presented to enhance the performance and accuracy of single-input single-output(SISO)FSs and introduce the most applicable input and output MFs protocol to linearize the fuzzy system’s *** a variety of non-linear techniques,a SISO FS is *** results of FS experiments conducted in comparable conditions are then *** simulated results and the results of the experimental setup agree fairly *** findings of the suggested model demonstrate that the relative error is abated to a sufficient range(≤±10%)and that the mean absolute percentage error(MPAE)is reduced by around 66.2%.The proposed strategy to reduceMAPE using an FS improves the system’s performance and control *** using the best input and output MFs protocol,the energy and financial efficiency of every SISO FS can be improved with very little tuning of *** proposed fuzzy system performed far better than other modern days approaches available in the literature.

High-sensitivity phase imaging eddy current magneto-optical system for carbon fiber reinforced polymers detection

This paper proposed a high-sensitivity phase imaging eddy current magneto-optical (PI-ECMO) system for carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) defect detection. In contrast to other eddy current-based detection systems, the proposed system employs a fixed position excitation coil while enabling the detection point to move within the detection region. This configuration effectively mitigates the interference caused by the lift-off effect, which is commonly observed in systems with moving excitation coils. Correspondingly, the relationship between the defect characteristics (orientation and position) and the surface vertical magnetic field distribution (amplitude and phase) is studied in detail by theoretical analysis and numerical simulations. Experiments conducted on woven CFRP plates demonstrate that the designed PI-ECMO system is capable of effectively detecting both surface and internal cracks, as well as impact defects. The excitation current is significantly reduced compared with traditional eddy current magneto-optical (ECMO) systems.
