Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever is an acute viral infectious disease caused by the dengue virus. Transmitted through the bite of Aedes Mosquitoes and divided into 4 severity. Severity 1 and 2 are characterized by a decrease in platelet levels below normal and there is a change in hemoconcentration, while Severity 3 and 4 are included in Dengue Shock Syndrome (DSS). The purpose of the study was to classify the severity of dengue, based on age, gender, platelets, body temperature, bleeding, and also doctor's recommendation. The advancement of information technology is the reason for the development of medical science, especially with artificial intelligence. Abundant medical data becomes a source that can be processed in improving the quality of medical information. The method chosen is Random Forest, kNN, Decision Tree and Naïve Bayes. The dataset used is the medical records of all DHF patients for 30 months in the period Jan 2019 to June 2021, at the Nadhifa Al Ghiffari Clinic in Bojongsoang District, Bandung Regency. © 2022 IEEE.

Steel production worldwide continues to grow and, consequently, also the energy consumption of the steel sector. With the applications of the electric arc furnace route in the steelmaking process, the concern with aspects of power quality and overload of the transmission grid lines increases. This work presents the zero harmonic distortion (ZHD) converter static synchronous compensator (STATCOM), which makes it possible to increase the displacement power factor of an electric arc furnace (EAF) application from 0.88 to 0.98 with total demand distortion in the grid around 1.44% with the ZHD prototype operation, this being accomplished without using high-order sinusoidal filters and with consolidated components in the industry. © 1972-2012 IEEE.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly evolving, and one new paradigm is the 'smart home,' which allows people to control their intelligent home gadgets from anywhere in the world via the Internet. Sensitive information gathered by smart devices is at risk of being intercepted and exploited unlawfully by a malicious third party due to insecure communication routes between the client and the smart devices. Through Telecare Medical Information Systems (TMIS), patients can get several types of healthcare delivery services in the comfort of their homes. Access to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) by patients or clinicians requires authentication, patient privacy protection, security, and data confidentiality. Thus, developing an effective anonymous authentication mechanism is crucial to ensure secure communications in the smart home setting. This paper describes a novel and effective security scheme using extended Chebyshev chaotic maps in the context of smart home environments. Analytical results show that the proposed authentication technique is secure from replay attacks, impersonation attacks, offline password guessing attacks, stolen verification table attacks, patient privacy protection, perfect forward secrecy, and known key security. Finally, the projected authentication technique gives superior results to the preliminary techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

In the realm of safety-critical Automotive System-on-Chip (SoC) design, memory functionality plays a crucial role in determining overall die yield due to its sizable footprint on the chip. Therefore, efficient methodologies for both post-manufacturing offline testing and real-time monitoring are essential to provide timely diagnostic feedback. This paper proses a real-time memory diagnostic data compression technique Pattern-Adaptive Two-Stage Bloom Filter (PA-2SBF) for automotive System-on-Chip (SoC) applications. PA-2SBF is designed to address the challenge of false positives incorporating frequently encountered failure patterns. Bloom filters, a probabilistic data structure renowned for their space-efficiency and quick approximate membership queries, are employed to expedite fault memory diagnosis information lookup and compression. Furthermore, failure patterns are considered to mitigate the false positive rate inherent in Bloom filters. The paper also presents a strategy for leveraging the compressed diagnostic information during run-time. Specifically, it exploits the quick lookup feature of Bloom filter to prohibit CPU access to defective memory regions, enhancing overall system reliability.

Suitably tailored forms of spatiotemporal modulation in electronic circuit networks have been recently employed to overcome fundamental challenges in modern electronic systems, including breaking reciprocity, squeezing the footprint of high-Q resonators, and overcoming the delay-bandwidth limit. Rotating patterns of temporal modulations have been used to synthesize angular momentum, which replaces magnetic bias to break reciprocity in integrated circuits. However, this approach is limited by trade-offs between modulation speed, footprint, and bandwidth of operation. Rotating switching patterns in commutated capacitor networks also enables compact filters and quasielectrostatic wave propagation, overcoming the delay-bandwidth limit. In this paper, we combine these mechanisms in an integrated-circuit ring that synthetically rotates in two dimensions, realizing an effective helicoidal motion that provides ultrabroadband quasielectrostatic nonreciprocal responses fitting within a theoretically infinitesimal size. We also analyze the impact of modulation signal noise on time-modulated nonreciprocal components and unveil the role of a dynamic noise mechanism based on which the noise level increases in the presence of a strong signal passing through the component, along with methods to mitigate this effect. We experimentally verify these principles in a three-port integrated circulator based on a 65-nm CMOS process that operates from dc to 1 GHz with a miniaturization factor of 2 × 106.

A discontinuous Galerkin implementation is presented for accurately calculating the electromagnetic scattering by general dielectric dispersive media in the time domain. To validate the formulation, the two-dimensional scattering of a TMz plane wave by a single pole Lorentz dispersive cylinder has been analyzed. The Fourier transform of the numerical solution in the time domain was compared with the analytical solution in the frequency domain at a given frequency. The results obtained are in agreement with the analytical solution.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the disinfection effect of Near-UV LED light, which is pulsed using PWM control, on Staphylococcus aureus. To evaluate the disinfection effect of Near-UV LED light, three types of Near-UV LEDs with wavelengths of 395 nm, 385 nm, and 365 nm were installed within a sealed space inside an incubator and energized with a forward current of 1000 mA and a forward voltage of 3.6 V, and the disinfection rate under each type of light was assessed. Additionally, the disinfection effect was evaluated when the same three types of Near-UV LEDs were pulsed with a 50% duty cycle. As a result, 100% disinfection was achieved with 365 nm Near-UV LED direct-current irradiation for 120 seconds, and a 93% disinfection rate was obtained with pulsed irradiation for 150 seconds.
