Sleep quality prediction in Internet of Things (IoT) involves leveraging a system of interrelated devices to gather as well as analyse related data. Smart devices like wearable devices or smart mattresses endlessly monitor many parameters such as body movement, heart rate, and environmental situations in bedroom. Real-time recommendations and feedback transported to consumers, allowing them to create informed lifestyle changes for superior sleep hygiene. As IoT ecosystem continues to develop, a combination of various data streams as well as classy analytics holds assurance for further refining sleep quality forecasts and improving overall well-being. The article designs a Bald Eagle Search Algorithm with Hierarchical Deep Learning for Internet of Things Assisted Sleep Quality Recognition (BESHDL-SQP) technique. The purpose of the BESHDL-SQP technique is to recognize and classify the quality of the sleep level in the IoT environment. In the presented BESHDL-SQP technique, the preliminary stage of data pre-processing using min–max normalization involved to normalize the input data. For predicting sleep quality, hierarchical long short-term memory (LSTM) technique exploited. Lastly, BES model utilized for optimal hyperparameter selection of LSTM method which helps in attaining enhanced results. To validate better performance of BESHDL-SQP technique, a huge range of simulation analysis is carried out. The extensive results stated that the BESHDL-SQP technique exhibits supreme performance over other models. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In this paper, temperature-time models with different characteristics, melting and crystallization versus temperature and time as well as melting rate versus temperature and crystallization rate versus temperature are developed around the design problem of mold flux. Finally, the dynamic changes between successive photographs of the melting and crystallization processes of the nearby die flow are successfully analyzed and quantified by means of RGB analysis, ORB algorithm and Fourier series fitting and finally, the temperature and time variations, the melting and crystallization processes of the die melt as a function of temperature and time, and the melting and crystallization kinetics of the die melt, i.e., the relationship between temperature, melting rate and crystallization rate are discussed. The above research is beneficial in guiding the design of mold fluxes to meet the solidification requirements of steel grades. Because this process wastes manpower and hinders the development of experimental process information, there is an urgent need to develop automatic feature extraction and mathematical modeling techniques for automatic feature sequence images. © 2023 SPIE.

Solving Orienteering Problems by Hybridizing Evolutionary Algorithm and Deep Reinforcement Learning

The orienteering problem (OP) is widely applied in real life. However, as the scale of real-world problem scenarios grows quickly, traditional exact, heuristics, and learning-based methods have difficulty balancing optimization accuracy and efficiency. This study proposes a problem decomposition-based double-layer optimization framework named DEA-DYPN to solve OPs. Using a diversity evolutionary algorithm (DEA) as the external optimizer and a dynamic pointer network (DYPN) as the inner optimizer, we significantly reduce the difficulty of solving large-scale OPs. Several targeted optimization operators are innovatively designed for stronger search ability, including a greedy population initialization heuristic, an elite strategy, a population restart mechanism, and a fitness-sharing selection strategy. Moreover, a dynamic embedding mechanism is introduced to DYPN to improve its characteristic learning ability. Extensive comparative experiments on OP instances with sizes from 20 to 500 are conducted for algorithmic performance validation. More experiments and analyses, including the significance test, stability analysis, complexity analysis, sensitivity analysis, and ablation experiments, are also conducted for comprehensive algorithmic evaluation. Experimental results show that our proposed DEA-DYPN ranks first according to the Friedman test and outperforms the competitor algorithms by 69%. © 2024 IEEE.

Single Si-substituted monolayer Si-doped graphene (Si:Gr) with one carbon atom in hexagon of graphene substituted by Si atom, studied by density functional theory (DFT) calculation has a range of structural and electronic features. The Si:Gr demonstrates absorbed-atom geometric structure, silicon-carbon dominated energy bands, atom-orbital projected density of states and charge concentration in space. These critical characteristics generate distinct physical and electrical properties of the unique material Si:Gr permitting it to be utilized as semiconductor material. Due to very high carrier mobility and saturation velocity, graphene devices are very useful in radio frequency (RF) applications. Recent studies suggest that utilizing bare silicon as a supporting substrate without an insulating layer under the channel region in conventional graphene-field effect transistor (GFET) can result in high output resistance and voltage gain, which provides higher cut-off frequency comparing with conventional GFET. In this work, an N-channel GFET with printed channel length of 50nm has been designed with Si:Gr as channel material where the Si:Gr is deposited on lightly doped p-type silicon substrate eliminating the insulator layer in between. For optimum RF performance bottom gate with SiO2 as back gate dielectric has been utilized. The device has provided a maximum cut-off frequency of 788GHz and Ion/Ioff ratio of 4.7 times 10{6} (bottom gate, metallic contact) proposing a novel device for RF and logic circuit applications. © 2022 IEEE.

The growing number of electric vehicles (EVs) imposes greater stress on the power grid. One prospective remedy for this issue is the installation of a bidirectional charger that is also adept at aiding the power grid. The charging and discharging of the battery in an EV are both accomplished by bidirectional converters, one of which is an AC-DC and the other is a DC-DC. Changing the operating mode of a DC-DC converter can lead to it behaving differently. The plug-in hybrid electric car (PHEV) might work as an automobile that transmits power from "vehicle to grid."(V2G). Electric car batteries can engage in bidirectional electricity exchange with the grid. The objective of the paperwork is to design a control approach for efficient power flow for V2G and G2V in EV. Peak load reduction, load balancing, voltage control, and enhanced electrical system stability can be achieved as a consequence. The utility grid can absorb the distributed stored power provided by V2G equipment in the manner of rotatory reserve power. The ability to transfer battery energy back to the power grid through V2G technology contributes to the enhancement of electrical system stability. If there is a bidirectional discharging circuit available, there is also an opportunity to supply power from the grid. In the framework of G2V and V2G in EVs, the research effort focuses on the battery parameter, the voltage of the inverter, and the grid. We will be designing and building bidirectional charges for the battery in EV using MATLAB Simulink for this present work. The simulation focuses on two primary modes of operation: - V2G and G2V. The success of deep transfer learning in fault diagnosis is attributed to the collection of high-quality labeled data from the source ***,in engineering scenarios,achieving such high-quality label annotation is difficult and *** incorrect label annotation produces two negative effects:1)the complex decision boundary of diagnosis models lowers the generalization performance on the target domain,and2)the distribution of target domain samples becomes misaligned with the false-labeled *** overcome these negative effects,this article proposes a solution called the label recovery and trajectory designable network(LRTDN).LRTDN consists of three ***,a residual network with dual classifiers is to learn features from cross-domain ***,an annotation check module is constructed to generate a label anomaly indicator that could modify the abnormal labels of false-labeled samples in the source *** the training of relabeled samples,the complexity of diagnosis model is reduced via semi-supervised ***,the adaptation trajectories are designed for sample distributions across *** ensures that the target domain samples are only adapted with the pure-labeled *** LRTDN is verified by two case studies,in which the diagnosis knowledge of bearings is transferred across different working conditions as well as different yet related *** results show that LRTDN offers a high diagnosis accuracy even in the presence of incorrect annotation.
