In fluorescence microscopy,computational algorithms have been developed to suppress noise,enhance contrast,and even enable super-resolution(SR).However,the local quality of the images may vary on multiple scales,and these differences can lead to *** mapping methods fail to finely estimate the local quality,challenging to associate the SR scale ***,we develop a rolling Fourier ring correlation(rFRC)method to evaluate the reconstruction uncertainties down to SR *** visually pinpoint regions with low reliability,a filtered rFRC is combined with a modified resolution-scaled error map(RSM),offering a comprehensive and concise map for further *** demonstrate their performances on various SR imaging modalities,and the resulting quantitative maps enable better SR images integrated from different ***,we expect that our framework can become a routinely used tool for biologists in assessing their image datasets in general and inspire further advances in the rapidly developing field of computational imaging.

Physiological computing uses human physiological data as system inputs in real *** includes,or significantly overlaps with,brain-computer interfaces,affective computing,adaptive automation,health informatics,and physiological signal based *** computing increases the communication bandwidth from the user to the computer,but is also subject to various types of adversarial attacks,in which the attacker deliberately manipulates the training and/or test examples to hijack the machine learning algorithm output,leading to possible user confusion,frustration,injury,or even ***,the vulnerability of physiological computing systems has not been paid enough attention to,and there does not exist a comprehensive review on adversarial attacks to *** study fills this gap,by providing a systematic review on the main research areas of physiological computing,different types of adversarial attacks and their applications to physiological computing,and the corresponding defense *** hope this review will attract more research interests on the vulnerability of physiological computing systems,and more importantly,defense strategies to make them more secure.

Multi-Objective Optimal Configuration and Stable-Dynamic Management Rules of Grid-Connected Sofc/Lb Microgrids Accelerated by Energy-Based Pre-Selection

Microgrids are suitable to consume the increasing renewable sources to meet the fluctuating load demand nowadays, and configuration design is essential to build techno-economic microgrids. Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) has high efficiency, high power output, and high fuel adaptability, which can be implemented as a controllable unit combined with an electrolyzer in hydrogen hybrid microgrids. However, the SOFC system’s slow load response should be considered due to SOFC’s complex dynamic characteristics. In this research, a grid-connected SOFC/lithium battery (LB) microgrid integrated photovoltaic and wind energy is constructed, and the LB complements the SOFC system’s slow load response. The stable-dynamic management rules are proposed, considering both SOFC’s tracking response and LB ‘s dynamic discharging and charging limitation to enhance LB’s cycle times. The minimal life cycle cost and minimal renewable energy (RS) curtailment rate are optimized by NSGA-II and the solving process is accelerated by an energy-based pre-selection method. An actual case is studied in one small region in china. The acceleration method is evaluated by comparison and the trade-off between two objectives is proved by the Pareto of the optimal solutions. To further analyze daytime management, we solve the optimal compromise solution by the fuzzy function and study the power dispatching of the typical days. © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

For GAN-based Person Re-identification (Re-ID), the key is to generate pedestrian images with higher identity consistency and meanwhile larger intra-class diversity. Generally, the main discriminative parts focus on some local regions from the foreground of each pedestrian image for Re-ID, and they should be irrelevant to the background. Whereas, most existing methods generate pedestrian images only based on global features, which difficultly achieves emphasizing crucial local regions and weakening the background. Based on this, we propose a CAM-enhancing generative Re-ID method in which the global and local features are jointly used. In the proposed method, an adaptive CAM-enhancing local encoder is designed to explore the significance of local appearances and enhance the effect of crucial local features in generations, where the foreground is divided into multiple local parts and separated from the background by pedestrian segmentation. Moreover, a new generation loss is proposed to supervise the identity consistency by reducing the inconsistency of crucial regions in foregrounds and meanwhile enrich the intra-class diversity by generating variant backgrounds. Experimental results indicate that the proposed method obtains better generation images and Re-ID performance than other methods.

Medical image segmentation in X-ray images is beneficial for computer-aided diagnosis and lesion localization. Existing methods mainly fall into a centralized learning paradigm, which is inapplicable in the practical medical scenario that only has access to distributed data islands. Federated Learning has the potential to offer a distributed solution but struggles with heavy training instability due to client-wise domain heterogeneity (including distribution diversity and class imbalance). In this paper, we propose a novel Federated Client-tailored Adapter (FCA) framework for medical image segmentation, which achieves stable and client-tailored adaptive segmentation without sharing sensitive local data. Specifically, the federated adapter stirs universal knowledge in off-the-shelf medical foundation models to stabilize the federated training process. In addition, we develop two client-tailored federated updating strategies that adaptively decompose the adapter into common and individual components, then globally and independently update the parameter groups associated with common client-invariant and individual client-specific units, respectively. They further stabilize the heterogeneous federated learning process and realize optimal client-tailored instead of sub-optimal global-compromised segmentation models. Extensive experiments on three large-scale datasets demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed FCA framework for federated medical segmentation. © 2025, CC BY.

Design of a High Speed 360-degree Panoramic Video Acquisition System Based on FPGA and USB 3.0

This paper presents a FPGA-based hardware architecture for capturing real-time panoramic images and the parallel implementation of an image stitching algorithm based on the scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) features. First, the system transfers the images captured by five CMOS sensors to the designed FPGA board through the FMC adapter plate. Then, the system employs the FPGA-based parallel computing to extract the SIFT features and detect the best matching region and points for image registration. Finally, in order to obtain the panoramic image with smooth changes at the junctions, images of the adjacent images are fused. Using the designed FPGA platform makes it possible to extract the SIFT and stitch the images in real-time, which is not realized in most panoramic imaging systems. The panoramic system, developed using the Xilinx Zynq®-7000 all programmable SOC, can capture video of 5*640*480 images at the speed of 60 fps. To enable high-speed image transfer from the imaging system to the host computer, the USB3.0 interface with the transmission speed of 359MB/s has been developed. The real-time efficiency of the parallel system will be demonstrated by the simulations and experiments. IEEE

To enhance the resilience of power systems toward the temporal and spatial impacts caused by extreme weather events, e.g., hurricanes, the flexibility of cloud data centers (CDCs) is treated as a kind of efficient demand response. Since the workloads of CDCs have the shifting capacity between different locations and time slots, a day-ahead unit commitment problem including data centers is proposed to explore the integrated spatial and temporal flexibility of the workloads to its full extent through task migration. Considering the uncertainty of probability density functions, the line failure rates, workload arrival rates, power loads are integrated into an ambiguity set. The scheduling process of generators and CDCs is modeled as a two-stage distributionally robust optimization problem, which is reformulated as a large-scale deterministic mixed-integer linear programming problem and solved by the multicuts Benders decomposition method. The performance of the proposed scheduling strategy is tested in both the IEEE 24-bus RTS system and the three-area RTS-96 system. The results reveal that the method could mitigate the adverse impacts of hurricanes by enhancing the resilience of power systems and decreasing the dropping workloads of CDCs. © 1972-2012 IEEE.

The blind spots of heavy vehicles during right turns arise a safety concern for traffic. Hence, the regulation mandating heavy vehicles to come to a complete stop before making right turns is crucial in ensuring intersection safety. However, the current trajectory planning methods struggle to integrate these traffic regulations, and the restrictions imposed by such traffic rules greatly impact traffic efficiency at intersections. This paper proposes a signal temporal logic (STL) based trajectory planning method for connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs) at a signal-free intersection, where traffic rules for heavy vehicles are conveniently described by STL formulas. All CAVs at the intersection are modeled without predefined paths to enhance the flexibility of trajectories. Each STL formula is encoded in a standardized way as a conjunction of inequality and equality constraints for the optimization, and the whole trajectory planning of CAVs is achieved through solving a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) problem. Simulation results indicate that our method improves traffic efficiency in the scenario with heavy vehicles right turns.

Class-agnostic motion prediction methods aim to comprehend motion within open-world scenarios, holding significance for autonomous driving systems. However, training a high-performance model in a fully-supervised manner always requires substantial amounts of manually annotated data, which can be both expensive and time-consuming to obtain. To address this challenge, our study explores the potential of semi-supervised learning (SSL) for class-agnostic motion prediction. Our SSL framework adopts a consistency-based self-training paradigm, enabling the model to learn from unlabeled data by generating pseudo labels through test-time inference. To improve the quality of pseudo labels, we propose a novel motion selection and re-generation module. This module effectively selects reliable pseudo labels and regenerates unreliable ones. Furthermore, we propose two data augmentation strategies: temporal sampling and BEVMix. These strategies facilitate consistency regularization in SSL. Experiments conducted on nuScenes demonstrate that our SSL method can surpass the self-supervised approach by a large margin by utilizing only a tiny fraction of labeled data. Furthermore, our method exhibits comparable performance to weakly and some fully supervised methods. These results highlight the ability of our method to strike a favorable balance between annotation costs and performance. Code will be available at https://***/kwwcv/SSMP. In this paper, the problem of bearing-only formation tracking control of multiple nonholonomic agents is studied. A leader-follower structure is adopted, where the leaders are moving at an unknown constant linear velocity and time-varying orientation. To solve the problem using bearing-only measurements, a finite-time estimator is firstly proposed to estimate the leaders' orientation information. Then, an adaptation law for estimating the leaders' linear velocity is proposed, based on which control inputs for tracking the leaders in a predefined bearing-based formation are designed, so that formation tracking can be achieved asymptotically. Rigorous theoretical analysis of the closed-loop system is given. It is proved that both the estimation errors and formation errors converge to zero under the connectivity of the communication graph and conditions for bearing rigidity. Numerical simulations are presented to testify the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2021 IEEE
