The rapid development of the low-altitude economy (LAE) has significantly increased the utilization of autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs) in various applications, necessitating efficient and secure communication methods among AAV swarms. In this work, we aim to introduce distributed collaborative beamforming (DCB) into AAV swarms and handle the eavesdropper collusion by controlling the corresponding signal distributions. Specifically, we consider a two-way DCB-enabled aerial communication between two AAV swarms and construct these swarms as two AAV virtual antenna arrays. Then, we minimize the two-way known secrecy capacity and maximum sidelobe level to avoid information leakage from the known and unknown eavesdroppers, respectively. Simultaneously, we also minimize the energy consumption of AAVs when constructing virtual antenna arrays. Due to the conflicting relationships between secure performance and energy efficiency, we consider these objectives by formulating a multi-objective optimization problem, which is NP-hard and with a large number of decision variables. Accordingly, we design a novel generative swarm intelligence (GenSI) framework to solve the problem with less overhead, which contains a conditional variational autoencoder (CVAE)-based generative method and a proposed powerful swarm intelligence algorithm. In this framework, CVAE can collect expert solutions obtained by the swarm intelligence algorithm in other environment states to explore characteristics and patterns, thereby directly generating high-quality initial solutions in new environment factors for the swarm intelligence algorithm to search solution space efficiently. Simulation results show that the proposed swarm intelligence algorithm outperforms other state-of-the-art baseline algorithms, and the GenSI can achieve similar optimization results by using far fewer iterations than the ordinary swarm intelligence algorithm. Beam tracking is crucial for maintaining stable data transmission in unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communications. However, a communication link can be disrupted by frequent switching of narrow beams between a base station and a UAV at certain moments. In this study, we propose a position prediction-based beam tracking algorithm with adaptive beam reconstruction (PPBT-AR) for high-speed UAV. Specifically, long short-term memory (LSTM) recurrent neural networks are utilized to predict the nonlinear flight trajectory during high-speed flight. Moreover, we employ the generative diffusion model (GDM) to jointly optimize the beam width and signal strength, thereby reducing the number of beam switches. In addition, we design an adaptive beam reconstruction (ABR) mechanism to mitigate communication interruptions caused by prediction errors. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed PPBT-AR reduces the number of beam switches by 66.6% and 76.9% in low-speed and high-speed scenarios compared to the traditional phased array beam tracking algorithm, respectively. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Structural Join and Staircase Join Algorithms of Sibling Relationship

The processing of XML queries can result in evaluation of various structural relationships. Efficient algorithms for evaluating ancestor-descendant and parent-child relationships have been proposed. Whereas the problems of evaluating preceding-sibling-following-sibling and preceding-following relationships are still open. In this paper, we studied the structural join and staircase join for sibling relationship. First, the idea of how to filter out and minimize unnecessary reads of elements using parent＇s structural information is introduced, which can be used to accelerate structural joins of parent-child and preceding-sibling-following-sibling relationships. Second, two efficient structural join algorithms of sibling relationship are proposed. These algorithms lead to optimal join performance： nodes that do not participate in the join can be judged beforehand and then skipped using B^＋-tree index. Besides, each element list joined is scanned sequentially once at most. Furthermore, output of join results is sorted in document order. We also discussed the staircase join algorithm for sibling axes. Studies show that, staircase join for sibling axes is close to the structural join for sibling axes and shares the same characteristic of high efficiency. Our experimental results not only demonstrate the effectiveness of our optimizing techniques for sibling axes, but also validate the efficiency of our algorithms. As far as we know, this is the first work addressing this problem specially.

Partial label learning is a weakly supervised learning framework in which each instance is associated with multiple candidate labels,among which only one is the ground-truth *** paper proposes a unified formulation that employs proper label constraints for training models while simultaneously performing *** existing partial label learning approaches that only leverage similarities in the feature space without utilizing label constraints,our pseudo-labeling process leverages similarities and differences in the feature space using the same candidate label constraints and then disambiguates noise *** experiments on artificial and real-world partial label datasets show that our approach significantly outperforms state-of-the-art counterparts on classification prediction.

Improved head-driven statistical models for natural language parsing

Head-driven statistical models for natural language parsing are the most representative lexicalized syntactic parsing models, but they only utilize semantic dependency between words, and do not incorporate other semantic information such as semantic collocation and semantic category. Some improvements on this distinctive parser are presented. Firstly, "valency" is an essential semantic feature of words. Once the valency of word is determined, the collocation of the word is clear, and the sentence structure can be directly derived. Thus, a syntactic parsing model combining valence structure with semantic dependency is purposed on the base of head-driven statistical syntactic parsing models. Secondly, semantic role labeling(SRL) is very necessary for deep natural language processing. An integrated parsing approach is proposed to integrate semantic parsing into the syntactic parsing process. Experiments are conducted for the refined statistical parser. The results show that 87.12% precision and 85.04% recall are obtained, and F measure is improved by 5.68% compared with the head-driven parsing model introduced by Collins.

Efficient protocols for heavy hitter identification with local differential privacy

Local differential privacy(LDP),which is a technique that employs unbiased statistical estimations instead of real data,is usually adopted in data collection,as it can protect every user’s privacy and prevent the leakage of sensitive *** segment pairs method(SPM),multiple-channel method(MCM)and prefix extending method(PEM)are three known LDP protocols for heavy hitter identification as well as the frequency oracle(FO)problem with large ***,the low scalability of these three LDP algorithms often limits their ***,communication and computation strongly affect their ***,excessive grouping or sharing of privacy budgets makes the results *** address the abovementioned problems,this study proposes independent channel(IC)and mixed independent channel(MIC),which are efficient LDP protocols for FO with a large *** design a flexible method for splitting a large domain to reduce the number of ***,we employ the false positive rate with interaction to obtain an accurate *** experiments demonstrate that IC outperforms all the existing solutions under the same privacy guarantee while MIC performs well under a small privacy budget with the lowest communication cost.

Efficient Model Store and Reuse in an OLML database System

Deep learning has shown significant improvements on various machine learning tasks by introducing a wide spectrum of neural network ***,for these neural network models,it is necessary to label a tremendous amount of training data,which is prohibitively expensive in *** this paper,we propose OnLine Machine Learning(OLML)database which stores trained models and reuses these models in a new training task to achieve a better training effect with a small amount of training *** efficient model reuse algorithm AdaReuse is developed in the OLML ***,AdaReuse firstly estimates the reuse potential of trained models from domain relatedness and model quality,through which a group of trained models with high reuse potential for the training task could be selected ***,multi selected models will be trained iteratively to encourage diverse models,with which a better training effect could be achieved by *** evaluate AdaReuse on two types of natural language processing(NLP)tasks,and the results show AdaReuse could improve the training effect significantly compared with models training from scratch when the training data is *** on AdaReuse,we implement an OLML database prototype system which could accept a training task as an SQL-like query and automatically generate a training plan by selecting and reusing trained *** studies are conducted to illustrate the OLML database could properly store the trained models,and reuse the trained models efficiently in new training tasks.

Improving Parameter Estimation and Defensive Ability of Latent Dirichlet Allocation Model Training Under Rényi Differential Privacy

A Part-of-speech Tagging Model Employing Word Clustering and Syntactic Parsing

Part-Of-Speech tagging is a basic task in the field of natural language processing. This paper builds a POS tagger based on improved Hidden Markov model,by employing word clustering and syntactic parsing ***, In order to overcome the defects of the classical HMM, Markov family model(MFM), a new statistical model was introduced. Secondly, to solve the problem of data sparseness, we propose a bottom-to-up hierarchical word clustering algorithm. Then we combine syntactic parsing with part-of-speech tagging. The Part-ofSpeech tagging experiments show that the improved PartOf-Speech tagging model has higher performance than Hidden Markov models(HMMs) under the same testing conditions, the precision is enhanced from 94.642% to97.235%.

Study on the Characteristics of Cross-Domain knowledge Diffusion from Science to Policy: Evidence from Overton data

The cross-domain knowledge diffusion from science to policy is a prevalent phenomenon that demands academic attention. To investigate the characteristics of cross-domain knowledge diffusion from science to policy, this study suggests using the citation of policies to scientific articles as a basis for quantifying the diffusion strength, breadth, and speed. The study reveals that the strength and breadth of cross-domain knowledge diffusion from scientific papers to policies conform to a power-law distribution, while the speed follows a logarithmic normal distribution. Moreover, the papers with the highest diffusion strength, breadth, and fastest diffusion speed are predominantly from world-renowned universities, scholars, and top journals. The papers with the highest diffusion strength and breadth are mostly from social sciences, especially economics, those with the fastest diffusion speed are mainly from medical and life sciences, followed by social sciences. The findings indicate that cross-domain knowledge diffusion from science to policy follows the Matthew effect, whereby individuals or institutions with high academic achievements are more likely to achieve successful cross-domain knowledge diffusion. Furthermore, papers in the field of economics tend to have the higher cross-domain knowledge diffusion strength and breadth, while those in medical and life sciences have the faster cross-domain knowledge diffusion speed. 86 Annual Meeting of the Association for Information Science & Technology | Oct. 27 – 31, 2023 | London, United Kingdom.
