processing high-dimensional data cubes and developing high-performance classifiers are core objectives in the field of hyperspectral image classification (HSIC). Superpixel-based methods are widely used in HSIC due to their efficacy in reducing redundant information and enhancing local features. However, imprecise segmentation, especially in complex structures and textures of hyperspectral images (HSIs), may lead to inconsistencies in the regions extracted by superpixels and the boundaries between different ground objects. Such inconsistencies significantly degrade the classification performance of HSIs. Alternatively, when parameter settings are inaccurate, edge-aware feature extraction methods often introduce sharpening artifacts at the image boundaries, resulting in a decrease in classification accuracy. To effectively address these challenges, we propose a novel probabilistic fusion method for HSIC. This method consists of the following stages. First, spatial information is extracted by a multiscale superpixel segmentation method and then probabilistically optimized by the extended random walk (ERW) method. Next, semantic-aware structural features (S2Fs) are extracted along with edge information of different objects. Lastly, a probabilistic framework is proposed to fuse the class probabilities of superpixel-based spatial information and semantic-aware structural features. Experimental results on three real datasets show state-of-the-art classification performance, even with limited training sets. ©1991-2012 IEEE.

A Simple Single-Fed Penta-Band Omnidirectional Antenna with Independent Band Control

A novel method of designing a penta-band omnidirectional low-profile antenna with independent band control is proposed. Single-band, dual-band, tri-band, quad-band, and penta-band antennas are investigated, respectively. The proposed penta-band antenna consists of a circular patch, three concentric metal pins, and two square metal plates. The evolutionary step of the penta-band antenna is achieved by adding metal rings and a small metal plate above the big ground. Each of the four metal rings is excited at TM01 mode resonance, while the 5th mode is generated by a small loop resonance formed by the small plate, shorting pin, stub, and the outer conductor of the cable. The penta-band antenna has a small volume of π × (0.109λ1.53GHz)2 × 0.053λ1.53GHz. The corresponding impedance bandwidths (IMBWs) of the five operating bands are 4.9%, 9.4%, 9.0%, 4.8%, 5.0%. Compared with other designs, the proposed antennas exhibit more flexible bands by using a simple structure. Meanwhile, the antenna has a stable omnidirectional radiation pattern across the five bands and a compact size. © 1963-2012 IEEE.

With deep learning's advancement in recent years, heterogeneous graph neural networks (HGNNs) have drawn a lot of interest. They are a group of deep learning models specifically designed for handling heterogeneous graph data, in which nodes and edges are of various types and all nodes are assumed to have either direct or indirect associations. A metaschema, which serves as a thorough and unified blueprint for the heterogeneous graph, elegantly connects varied node types to other heterogeneous nodes via multiple heterogeneous edges with rich sematincs. However, many existing methods that utilize meta-schema to mine heterogeneous information often focus on the different meta-relationships inside the schema, limiting the meta-schema to describing only the local relational semantics. To better utilize meta-schema for efficiently integrating different heterogeneous information, we organize them into a hierarchical structure(i.e., hierarchical meta-schema), with all types of nodes distributed across different layers. The layers are interconnected through heterogeneous relationships. The target type is placed at the final layer and others are arranged hierarchically in the front according to the heterogeneous relationships defined in the meta-schema. During information aggregation, according to the hierarchical meta-schema, the information of each layer is gradually aggregated to the target type on the final layer from far to near via the attention mechanism. Moreover, metapaths regularly begin and end with the same type and help to define complex structures and semantic. Therefore, we also consider the semantic information of neighbors based on metapaths within the proposed hierarchical meta-schema to enhance the complex semantics among nodes of the same-type that may be lacking in the meta-schema. Tag-based physical-layer authentication (PLA) has gained significant research interest due to its high security and low complexity compared to traditional upper-layer authentication mechanisms. However, conventional tag-based PLA schemes often require strict synchronization between the tag and the source message before transmission, which may limit their practicality and effectiveness. To address this limitation, we propose an asynchronous tag-based PLA scheme, where the tag and the source message are transmitted asynchronously with an intentional time delay introduced at the transmitter. The proposed scheme enhances both compatibility and security without compromising robustness. We provide a theoretical analysis of the proposed scheme, and derive closed-form expressions to characterize its performance. Furthermore, theoretical comparisons with existing methods yield insightful conclusions regarding the advantages of the proposed approach. The scheme is implemented and extensively evaluated through simulations, where the theoretical results exhibit strong agreement with the simulation outcomes, thereby validating its effectiveness. © 2025 IEEE.

MOAL: Multi-view Out-of-distribution Awareness Learning

Multi-view learning integrates data from multiple sources to enhance task performance by improving data quality. However, existing approaches primarily focus on intra-distribution data learning and consequently fail to identify out-of-distribution instances effectively. This paper introduces a method to improve the perception of out-of-distribution data in multi-view situations. First, we employ multi-view consistency and complementarity principles to develop sub-view complementarity representation learning and multi-view consistency fusion layers, thereby enhancing the model’s perception ability to typical intra-distribution features. Additionally, we introduce a specialized multi-view training loss and an agent mechanism tailored for out-of-distribution scenarios, facilitating the ability to differentiate between known and new or anomalous instances effectively. The proposed approach enhances the recognition of out-of-distribution data by improving intra-distribution feature representations and minimizing the entropy associated with out-of-distribution instances. Experimental results on multiple multi-view datasets simulating out-of-distribution scenarios confirm the effectiveness of MOLA, which consistently outperforms all baselines with average accuracy improvements of over 5%.

Cloud removal of remote sensing image based on multi-output support vector regression

Removal of cloud cover on the satellite remote sensing image can effectively improve the availability of remote sensing images. For thin cloud cover, support vector value contourlet transform is used to achieve multi-scale decomposition of the area of thin cloud cover on remote sensing images. Through enhancing coefficients of high frequency and suppressing coefficients of low frequency, the thin cloud is removed. For thick cloud cover, if the areas of thick cloud cover on multi-source or multi-temporal remote sensing images do not overlap, the multi-output support vector regression learning method is used to remove this kind of thick clouds. If the thick cloud cover areas overlap, by using the multi-output learning of the surrounding areas to predict the surface features of the overlapped thick cloud cover areas, this kind of thick cloud is removed. Experimental results show that the proposed cloud removal method can effectively solve the problems of the cloud overlapping and radiation difference among multi-source images. The cloud removal image is clear and smooth.

XGRouter： high-quality global router in X-architecture with particle swarm optimization

This paper presents a high-quality very large scale integration （VLSI） global router in X-architecture, called XGRouter, that heavily relies on integer linear pro- gramming （ILP） techniques, partition strategy and particle swarm optimization （PSO）. A new ILP formulation, which can achieve more uniform routing solution than other formu- lations and can be effectively solved by the proposed PSO is proposed. To effectively use the new ILP formulation, a partition strategy that decomposes a large-sized problem into some small-sized sub-problems is adopted and the routing re- gion is extended progressively from the most congested re- git）n. In the post-processing stage of XGRouter, maze rout- ing based on new routing edge cost is designed to further optimize the total wire length and mantain the congestion uniformity. To our best knowledge, XGRouter is the first work to use a concurrent algorithm to solve the global rout- ing problem in X-architecture. Experimental results show that XGRouter can produce solutions of higher quality than other global routers. And, like several state-of-the-art global touters, XGRouter has no overflow.

An adaptive offloading framework for Android applications in mobile edge computing

Mobile edge computing(MEC) provides a fresh opportunity to significantly reduce the latency and battery energy consumption of mobile applications. It does so by enabling the offloading of parts of the applications on mobile edges, which are located in close proximity to the mobile devices. Owing to the geographical distribution of mobile edges and the mobility of mobile devices, the runtime environment of MEC is highly complex and dynamic. As a result, it is challenging for application developers to support computation offloading in MEC compared with the traditional approach in mobile cloud computing, where applications use only the cloud for offloading. On the one hand, developers have to make the offloading adaptive to the changing environment, where the offloading should dynamically occur among available computation *** the other hand, developers have to effectively determine the offloading scheme each time the environment changes. To address these challenges, this paper proposes an adaptive framework that supports mobile applications with offloading capabilities in MEC. First, based on our previous study(DPartner), a new design pattern is proposed to enable an application to be dynamically offloaded among mobile devices, mobile edges,and the cloud. Second, an estimation model is designed to automatically determine the offloading *** this model, different parts of the application may be executed on different computation nodes. Finally, an adaptive offloading framework is implemented to support the design pattern and the estimation model. We evaluate our framework on two real-world applications. The results demonstrate that our approach can aid in reducing the response time by 8%–50% and energy consumption by 9%–51% for computation-intensive applications.
