Nanowires mediated growth ofβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)nanobelts for hightemperature(>573 K)solar-blind photodetectors

β-Ga_(2)O_(3),with ultra-wide bandgap,high absorption coefficient for high-energy ultraviolet(UV)photons,and high structural stability toward harsh-environment,has been receiving persistent attention for deep ultraviolet photodetectors ***,realization of devices with high tolerance toward high temperature faces great challenges due to considerable background signals mainly arising from abundant thermal excited ***,nanowire-mediated high-qualityβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)nanobelts with ultra-thin thickness and length up to several hundred micrometers were achieved via a simple catalyst-free chemical vapor deposition *** resulted microdevice output superior optoelectric figure of merits among numerous reports aboutβ-Ga_(2)O_(3),i.e.,ultra-low dark current(below the detection limit of 10−12 A),high responsivity(1,320 A/W),and high spectral selectivity working under low voltage(~2 V).More importantly,the performance remains robust at elevated temperature higher than 573 *** results indicate a large prospect for low-voltage driven deep ultraviolet photodetectors with good sensitivity and stability at harsh environments.

A Novel Approach for Image Encryption with Chaos-RNA

In today’s information society,image encryption technology is crucial to protecting Internet ***,traditional image encryption algorithms have problems such as insufficient chaotic characteristics,insufficient randomness of keys,and insecure Ribonucleic Acid(RNA)*** address these issues,a chaos-RNA encryption scheme that combines chaotic maps and RNA encoding was proposed in this *** initial values and parameters of the chaotic system are first generated using the Secure Hash Algorithm 384(SHA-384)function and the plaintext ***,the Lühyperchaotic system sequence was introduced to change the image’s pixel values to realize block scrambling,and further disturbance is achieved through spiral index sequence to enhance encryption ***,to obtain the final encrypted image,the diffusion is accomplished through different RNA encoding rules and operation rules corresponding to the chaotic sequence generated by an improved one-dimensional chaotic map(1DCM).Here innovatively propose four new RNA operation rules,increasing the difficulty of *** results demonstrate that the normalized pixel change rate(NPCR)and the unified average changed intensity(UACI)values of the tested encrypted images were 99.61%and 33.46%,*** average ciphertext entropy value in the Red Green Blue(RGB)channels were 7.9986,7.991,and ***,this algorithm exhibits a low correlation coefficient and enhanced *** encryption method effectively improves the security and reliability of image encryption compared to other similar techniques.

The presence or absence of sea ice introduces a substantial perturbation to surface-atmosphere energy *** the effect of varying sea ice cover on surface-atmosphere interactions is an important consideration for understanding the Arctic climate *** recurring North Water Polynya(NOW)serves as a natural laboratory for isolating cloud responses to a rapid,near-step perturbation in sea *** this study,we employed high-resolution Arctic System Reanalysis version 2(ASRv2)data to estimate turbulent heat fluxes over the NOW and nearby sea ice(NSI)area between 2005/2006 and 2015/*** results indicate that the average turbulent heat fluxes in the polynya are about 87%and 86%higher than in the NSI area over the 10 years during the entire duration of the polynya and during polar night,*** turbulent heat fluxes from the polynya tend to produce more low-level *** relationship between the polynya and low cloud in winter was examined based on Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations(CALIPSO).The low-cloud fraction(0-2 km)was about 7%-34%larger over the polynya than the NSI area,and the ice water content below 200 m was about 250%-413%higher over the former than the *** correlation between cloud fraction and turbulent heat fluxes in the polynya peaks around the altitude of 200-300 *** results suggest that the NOW affects the Arctic boundary layer cloudiness and structure in ***,higher horizontal resolution reanalysis data can advance our understanding of the cloud-polynya response.

SGAN-RL: Fusion classification method for network intrusion detection based on data augmentation

Although traditional research methods for intrusion detection can effectively prevent and mitigate issues such as data leaks to avoid severe consequences, existing intrusion detection technologies encounter limitations, including low classification accuracy and high false positive rates, particularly when dealing with high-dimensional, complex network anomaly traffic data. Additionally, the common problem of class imbalance in intrusion detection datasets exacerbates these challenges. This paper introduces a novel approach to network intrusion detection classification, termed SGAN-RL, which integrates ResNet and LSTM models based on the semi-supervised generative adversarial network (SGAN) framework. This method utilizes SGAN to generate synthetic data resembling real intrusion detection data and continually trains the discriminator to produce high-quality data, thereby enhancing data distribution balance and quality. Moreover, a fusion intrusion detection classification model is presented, leveraging the strengths of ResNet and LSTM architectures to capture spatial and temporal features, respectively. This synergistic fusion enhances the model’s capacity for comprehensive data representation, resulting in improved performance in intrusion detection data classification tasks. Experiments conducted on intrusion detection datasets NSL-KDD, UNSW-NB15, and CIC-IDS2017 demonstrate that the proposed model enhances accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, ROC-AUC, PR-AUC, respectively, showcasing its robust performance and reliability in network intrusion detection classification. © 2025 – IOS Press. Magnetic metal absorbers exhibit remarkable microwave absorption ***,their practical application is severely limited due to their susceptibility to corrosion,particularly in marine *** address this challenge,we propose a novel approach involving the modification and control of FeCo/rGO microwave absorbers using rare earth lanthanum(La).This strategy aims to achieve both high-performance microwave absorption and enhanced resistance to marine *** this study,we employ a La_(2)O_(3) modifying control strategy to refine the FeCo magnetic particles and coat them with CoFe_(2)O_(4) on the surface,leveraging the pinning effect of in situ generated La_(2)O_(3) .This process enhances the interface polarization of the absorbers,thereby improving their electromagnetic performance and ma-rine corrosion ***,the La_(2)O_(3) modified FeCo@rGO composites exhibit broadband ab-sorption,covering a wide frequency range of 6.11 GHz at 1.55 ***,the electromagnetic proper-ties of the La_(2)O_(3) modified FeCo@rGO absorbers remain stable even after prolonged exposure to a 3.5 wt% NaCI solution,simulating marine conditions,for at least 15 ***,we perform first-principle calculations on FeCo and FeCo-O to validate the corrosion resistance of the La_(2)O_(3) modified FeCo@rGO composites at the atomic *** comprehensive investigation explores the control of rare earth lan-thanum modification on the size of magnetic metal particles,enabling efficient electromagnetic wave absorption and marine corrosion *** results of this study provide a novel and facile strategy for the control of microwave absorbers,offering promising prospects for future research and development in this field.

Emotion recognition is a pivotal component in various sectors, including medical care, education, service industries, and public safety, due to its potential to enhance interaction and understanding within these contexts. Historically, traditional methods of emotion recognition have primarily concentrated on analyzing facial expressions. While effective to a degree, this approach offers restricted capacity for encoding context, and unable to capture the breadth and depth of emotional responses. In this paper, we proposed the VLM-EMO Model, a novel approach that enhances the capabilities of VLM (Visual Language Model) in the domain of emotion recognition. While VLM itself is a powerful tool for understanding the correlation between images and text, the VLM-EMO Model fine-tunes this ability to focus more intricately on emotional aspects within visual data. This is achieved by integrating emotional intelligence into the model's architecture, allowing it to discern subtle emotional cues and contexts within images. © 2024 IEEE.

Three-Branch BERT-Based Text Classification Network for Gastroscopy Diagnosis Text

During a hospital visit, a significant volume of Gastroscopy Diagnostic Text (GDT) data are produced, representing the unstructured gastric medical records of patients undergoing gastroscopy. As such, GDTs play a crucial role in evaluating the patient’s health, shaping treatment plans, and scheduling follow-up visits. However, given the free-text nature of GDTs, which lack a formal structure, physicians often find it challenging to extract meaningful insights from them. Furthermore, while deep learning has made significant strides in the medical domain, to our knowledge, there are not any readily available text-based pre-trained models tailored for GDT classification and analysis. To address this gap, we introduce a Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) based three-branch classification network tailored for GDTs. We leverage the robust representation capabilities of the BERT pre-trained model to deeply encode the texts. A unique three-branch decoder structure is employed to pinpoint lesion sites and determine cancer stages. Experimental outcomes validate the efficacy of our approach in GDT classification, with a precision of 0.993 and a recall of 0.784 in the early cancer category. In pinpointing cancer lesion sites, the weighted F1 score achieved was 0.849. © The author(s) 2024.

As-cast alloys often require complex thermomechanical processing to obtain a hierarchical structure to achieve a good combination of strength and *** in this work,a novel hierarchical Fe_(27)Ni_(35)Cr_(18.25)Al_(13.75)Co_(2)Ti_(2)Mo_(2) high-entropy alloy(HEA)with ultra-high tensile strength and excellent ductility was fabricated by direct *** as-cast alloy exhibits hierarchical structure with an ul-trafine lamellar microstructure(ULM),ultrafine rhombus microstructure(URM),ultrafine vermicular mi-crostructure(UVM),nanosized precipitates and spinodal decomposition(SP)that develops during casting and *** incompatibility of face-centered cubic(FCC)and body-centered cubic(BCC)phases in the deformation process leads to heterogeneous deformation-induced(HDI)hardening,which brings the alloy a tensile yield strength(YS)of~1056 MPa,an ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of~1526 MPa and a total elongation(El)of~15.6%.Additionally,the numerous interfaces generated by the hierarchical structure absorb the energy during deformation,effectively retarding the dislocation motion and causing strong work-hardening.

Securing STAR-FC-RIS empowered integrated sensing and multiuser communications against target eavesdropping

This paper investigates a simultaneous-transmitting-and-reflecting fully-connected reconfigurable intelligent surface(STAR-FC-RIS) empowered integrated sensing and multiuser communications(ISAMC) network, where a dual-functional radar-communication base station detects a malicious radar target nearby and communicates with multiple legitimate users on the other side of the STAR-RIS. We utilize an integrated architecture that combines the fully-connected(FC)-RIS, an emerging type of beyond-diagonal(BD)-RIS, with the time-switching(TS)-STAR-RIS to enhance both the sensing and communications at the cost of possible target intercepting and propose the simultaneous-transmitting-and-reflecting fully-connected RIS(STAR-FCR) schemes to strike a balance between sensing and communications performance. Thereafter, observing the security-reliability performance tradeoff of the downlink ISAMC, we conduct closed-form analyses to compare COPs of round-robin scheduling(RS) and multiuser scheduling(MS) with the aid of a TS-based STAR-FC-RIS. Furthermore, we derive closed-form expressions of the sensing outage probability, communications outage probability(COP), and communications intercept probability, where an average of the three probabilities is exploited to obtain an optimized time allocation(OTA) of the *** results verify that the STAR-FCR-MS scheme outperforms the STAR-FCR-RS scheme in terms of sensing reliability and communications security. Moreover, an OTA remarkably enhances the overall performance of the STAR-FCR schemes of ISAMC systems.

Although poly(lactic acid)(PLA)is a good environmentally-friendly bio-degradable polymer which is used to substitute traditional petrochemical-based polymer packaging films,the barrier properties of PLA films are still insufficient for high-barrier packaging *** this study,oxygen scavenger hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene(HTPB)and cobalt salt catalyst were incorporated into the PLA/poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)(PLA/PBAT),followed by melting extrusion and three-layer co-extrusion blown film process to prepare the composite *** oxygen permeability coefficient of the composite film combined with 6 wt%oxygen scavenger and 0.4 wt%catalyst was decreased significantly from 377.00 cc·mil·m^(-2)·day^(-1)·0.1 MPa^(-1) to 0.98 cc·mil·m^(-2)·day^(-1)·0.1 MPa^(-1),showing a remarkable enhancement of 384.69 times compared with the PLA/PBAT composite ***,the degradation behavior of the composite film was also accelerated,exhibiting a mass loss of nearly 60%of the original mass after seven days of degradation in an alkaline environment,whereas PLA/PBAT composite film only showed a mass loss of 32%.This work has successfully prepared PLA/PBAT composite films with simultaneously improved oxygen barrier property and degradation behavior,which has great potential for high-demanding green chemistry packaging industries,including food,agricultural,and military packaging.
