The stabilization of the formamidinium lead iodide(FAPbI_(3))structure is pivotal for the development of efficient photovoltaic *** two-dimensional(2D)layers to passivate the threedimensional(3D)perovskite is essential for maintaining the a-phase of FAPbI_(3) and enhancing the power conversion efficiency(PCE)of perovskite solar cells(PSCs).However,the role of bulky ligands in the phase management of 2D perovskites,crucial for the stabilization of FAPbI_(3),has not yet been *** this study,we synthesized nanoscale 2D perovskite capping crusts with=1 and 2 Ruddlesden-Popper(RP)perovskite layers,respectively,which form a type-Ⅱ 2D/3D *** heterostructure stabilizes the a-phase of FAPbI_(3),and facilitates ultrafast carrier extraction from the 3D perovskite network to transport contact *** introduced tri-fluorinated ligands to mitigate defects caused by the halide vacancies and uncoordinated Pb^(2+)ions,thereby reducing nonradiative carrier recombination and extending carrier *** films produced were incorporated into PSCs that not only achieved a PCE of 25.39%but also maintained 95%of their initial efficiency after 2000 h of continuous light exposure without *** findings underscore the effectiveness of a phase-pure 2D/3D heterostructure-terminated film in inhibiting phase transitions passivating the iodide anion vacancy defects,facilitating the charge carrier extraction,and boosting the performance of optoelectronic devices.

The parallel-machine customer order scheduling problem with delivery time and submodular rejection penalties (PCOSP-DS) is given a set O of n customer orders and a set of m exclusive machines. Each order has m product types and a delivery time, where each product type must be produced on a exclusive machine. Each customer order can be either processed on the m exclusive machines, or rejected and paid a penalty. The PCOSP-DS is to find a customer order set A to minimize the sum of the maximum delivery completion time of A and the penalty of rejected customer order set R = O \ A, where the penalty is determined using a given submodular function. We present a randomized rounding algorithm and prove that its expected approximation factor is max{α1 · ln(1−1α ), α1 }, where α ∈ (0, 1). Then, we present a deterministic e−e1 -approximation algorithm that is based on the randomized rounding algorithm. © 2024 IEEE.

Multi-modal Self-perception Enhanced Large Language Model for 3D Region-of-Interest Captioning with Limited Data

3D Region-of-Interest (RoI) Captioning involves translating a model's understanding of specific objects within a complex 3D scene into descriptive captions. Recent advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs) have shown great potential in this area. Existing methods capture the visual information from RoIs as input tokens for LLMs. However, this approach may not provide enough detailed information for LLMs to generate accurate region-specific captions. In this paper, we introduce Self-RoI, a Large Language Model with multi-modal self-perception capabilities for 3D RoI captioning. To ensure LLMs receive more precise and sufficient information, Self-RoI incorporates Implicit Textual Info. Perception to construct a multi-modal vision-language information. This module utilizes a simple mapping network to generate textual information about basic properties of RoI from vision-following response of LLMs. This textual information is then integrated with the RoI's visual representation to form a comprehensive multi-modal instruction for LLMs. Given the limited availability of 3D RoI-captioning data, we propose a two-stage training strategy to optimize Self-RoI efficiently. In the first stage, we align 3D RoI vision and caption representations. In the second stage, we focus on 3D RoI vision-caption interaction, using a disparate contrastive embedding module to improve the reliability of the implicit textual information and employing language modeling loss to ensure accurate caption generation. Our experiments demonstrate that Self-RoI significantly outperforms previous 3D RoI captioning models. Moreover, the Implicit Textual Info. Perception can be integrated into other multi-modal LLMs for performance enhancement. We will make our code available for further research. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

In this paper,we present an electrically controlled tunable narrowband filter based on a thin-film lithium niobate two-dimensional(2D)photonic *** filter incorporates a photonic crystal microcavity structure within the straight waveguide,enabling electronic tuning of the transmitted wavelength through added electrode *** optimized microcavity filter design achieves a balance between high transmission rate and quality factor,with a transmission center wavelength of 1551.6 nm,peak transmission rate of 96.1%,and quality factor of ***,the filter can shift the central wavelength of the transmission spectrum by applying voltage to the electrodes,with a tuning sensitivity of 13.8 pm/*** proposed tunable filter adopts a simple-to-fabricate air-hole structure and boasts a compact size(length:11.57μm,width:5.27μm,area:60.97μm^(2)),making it highly suitable for large-scale *** features make the filter promising for broad applications in the fields of photonic integration and optical communication.

Emerging electrochemical uranium extraction from seawater offers a promising route for a sustainable fuel supply for nuclear reactor operation. In this work, we intentionally synthesized a conjugated microporous polymer (CMP) with π-conjugated skeletons and permanent porosity, which was induced by in situ electropolymerization on flexible carbon cloths, followed by postdecorating amidoxime groups to create functional materials (CMP-AO). Driven by an extra asymmetrical alternating current electrochemical extraction, the self-supporting and binder-free electrode is exceptionally capable of selectively and rapidly capturing U(VI) from simulated solution, affording an extraction capacity of ∼1806.4 mg/g without saturation. Experimental observation in combination with ex/in situ spectroscopy revealed that CMP-AO enabled surface selective binding sites (amidoxime groups) to U(VI), followed by electrocatalytic reduction (carbazole groups) to yield yellow precipitates (Na2O(UO3·H2O)x) via reversible electron transfer in the presence of sodium electrolyte. Furthermore, the integrating adsorption-electrocatalysis system achieved an extraction capacity of 18.8 mg/g in real seawater for 21 days and good antibiofouling abilities, validating its feasibility for practical application. © 2024 The Authors. Multi-focus image fusion is a technique that combines multiple out-of-focus images to enhance the overall image quality. It has gained significant attention in recent years, thanks to the advancements in deep learning. However, one of the persistent challenges in this field is the processing of misaligned data, which can negatively impact the fusion results. To overcome this problem, a novel fusion framework with pre-registration is proposed for the fusion of misaligned multi-focus images. For pre-registration, content-aware deep homography estimation is used, which performs transfer learning on a real multi-focus image dataset to adapt to registration under defocused conditions. For fusion, a fusion module with dual-branch feature interaction is utilized to avoid invalid feature fusion and trained on real light field dataset to achieve better fusion performance. Qualitative and quantitative experimental results show that the proposed method has a 2-3 percentage point improvement in multiple evaluation metrics compared to existing advanced registration and fusion methods, and a maximum improvement of 4.83 percentage points in fusion performance when tested independently on the Lytro dataset. Additionally, We find that the value of the Qcv metric is greatly influenced by the alignment status of the input images, leading to its inability to reflect the fusion quality of aligned images. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2024.

The long-standing challenge in designing far-infrared transparent conductors(FIRTC)is the combination of high plasma absorption edge(λ_(p))and high conductivity(σ).These competing requirements are commonly met by tuning carrier concentration or/and effective carrier mass in a metal oxide/oxonate with low optical dielectric constant(ε_(opt)=2-7).However,despite the highσ,the transparent band is limited to mid-infrared(λ_(p)<5μm).In this paper,we break the trade-off between highσandλ_(p)by increasing the“so-called constant”ε_(opt)that has been neglected,and successfully develop the material family of FIRTC withε_(opt)>15 andλ_(p)>15μ*** FIRTC crystals are mainly octahedrally-coordinated heavy-metal chalcogenides and their solid solutions with shallow-level *** highε_(opt)relies on the formation of electron-deficiency multicenter bonds resulting in the great electron-polarization *** new FIRTC enables us to develop the first“continuous film”type far-infrared electromagnetic shielder that is unattainable using traditional ***,this study may inaugurate a new era in far-infrared optoelectronics.

Stochastic Gradient Compression for Federated Learning over Wireless Network

As a mature distributed machine learning paradigm,federated learning enables wireless edge devices to collaboratively train a shared AI-model by stochastic gradient descent(SGD).However,devices need to upload high-dimensional stochastic gradients to edge server in training,which cause severe communication *** address this problem,we compress the communication by sparsifying and quantizing the stochastic gradients of edge *** first derive a closed form of the communication compression in terms of sparsification and quantization ***,the convergence rate of this communicationcompressed system is analyzed and several insights are ***,we formulate and deal with the quantization resource allocation problem for the goal of minimizing the convergence upper bound,under the constraint of multiple-access channel *** show that the proposed scheme outperforms the benchmarks.
