Low-light image enhancement is an important issue in digital image processing area. However, in practice, it is still a difficult problem, especially how to balance computational cost and restore result. To tackle this difficulty, in this paper, we present a fast curve transition based low-light image enhancement model and propose a new lightweight curve estimation model. Specifically, an extremely lightweight curve estimation network based on parameter curve model is proposed, called LCE. Compared with the traditional method, called Zero-DCE, which utilizes iterative polynomial interpolation, the proposed can estimate the translate curve non-recursively. Benefitting from intuitive and simple nonlinear curve mapping as well as the lightweight curve estimation network, experimental results show that the proposed model is superior to the existing methods in terms of computational cost, while holds similar enhanced results on low-light images. © 2024 IEEE.

Task planning and collaboration of multiple robots have broad application prospects and value in the field of *** improve the performance and working efficiency of our Spherical Underwater Robot(SUR),we propose a multi-robot control strategy that can realize the task planning and collaboration of multiple *** complete real-time information sharing of multiple robots,we first build an acoustic communication system with excellent communication performance under low noise ratio ***,the task planning and collaboration control strategy adjust the SURs so that they maintain their positions in the desired formation when the formation *** SURs can move along desired trajectories in the expected *** control strategy of each SUR uses only its information and limited information of its neighboring ***,based on theoretical analysis and experiments,we evaluate the validity and reliability of the proposed *** comparison to the traditional leader–follower method,it is not necessary to designate a leader and its followers explicitly in our system;thus,important advantages,such as fault tolerance,are achieved.

In a perfect quantum key distribution(QKD)protocol,quantum states should be prepared and measured with mutually unbiased bases(MUBs).However,in a practical QKD system,quantum states are generally prepared and measured with imperfect MUBs using imperfect devices,possibly reducing the secret key rate and transmission *** analyze the security of a QKD system with imperfect MUBs,we propose virtual MUBs to characterize the quantum channel against collective attack,and analyze the corresponding secret key rate under imperfect state preparation and measurement *** generally,we apply the advantage distillation method for analyzing the security of QKD with imperfect MUBs,where the error tolerance and transmission distance can be sharply *** analysis method can be applied to benchmark and standardize a practical QKD system,elucidating the security analysis of different QKD protocols with imperfect devices.

Coordinating the lateral and longitudinal control of vehicles during lane changing, while considering the vehicle’s operational state and the surrounding environment, poses a highly challenging task. In recent years, deep reinforcement learning (DRL) technology has experienced rapid development and has found widespread applications in the traditional automatic control industry. With the improvement of driving safety requirements, DRL technology provides a new research direction and an effective way for the development of vehicle autonomous lane change. This paper investigates automated decision control for lane changing in autonomous vehicles using the Asynchronous Advantage Actor-Critic (A3C) algorithm, while also proposing reasonable multi-objective performance evaluation metrics. Nevertheless, the traditional A3C algorithm frequently encounters convergence oscillation or degradation issues, hindering agents from attaining the highest reward. To address the mentioned issues, an improved parameter updating method based on a weighted average of advantage value is proposed. The simulation results on the highway simulation platform demonstrate that the enhanced A3C algorithm offers increased stability in comparison to the traditional A3C algorithm. Moreover, in comparison to the Deep Q-Network (DQN) algorithm and the Deep Deterministic Policy Gradient (DDPG) algorithm, the enhanced A3C algorithm showcases faster convergence speed and a higher success rate, hence confirming the superiority of the proposed improvement. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Direct synthesis of layer-tunable and transfer-free graphene on technologically important substrates is highly valued for various electronics and device *** of the art in the field is currently a two-step process:a high-quality graphene layer synthesis on metal substrate through chemical vapor deposition(CVD)followed by delicate layer transfer onto device-relevant ***,we report a novel synthesis approach combining ion implantation for a precise graphene layer control and dual-metal smart Janus substrate for a diffusion-limiting graphene formation to directly synthesize large area,high quality,and layer-tunable graphene films on arbitrary substrates without the post-synthesis layer transfer ***(C)ion implantation was performed on Cu-Ni film deposited on a variety of device-relevant substrates.A well-controlled number of layers of graphene,primarily monolayer and bilayer,is precisely controlled by the equivalent fluence of the implanted C-atoms(1 monolayer~4×10^(15)C-atoms/cm^(2)).Upon thermal annealing to promote Cu-Ni alloying,the pre-implanted C-atoms in the Ni layer are pushed toward the Ni/substrate interface by the top Cu layer due to the poor C-solubility in *** a result,the expelled C-atoms precipitate into a graphene structure at the interface facilitated by the Cu-like alloy *** removing the alloyed Cu-like surface layer,the layer-tunable graphene on the desired substrate is directly *** layer-selectivity,high quality,and uniformity of the graphene films are not only confirmed with detailed characterizations using a suite of surface analysis techniques but more importantly are successfully demonstrated by the excellent properties and performance of several devices directly fabricated from these graphene *** dynamics(MD)simulations using the reactive force field(ReaxFF)were performed to elucidate the graphene formation mechanisms in this novel synthesis *** the wide use of ion

Verifiable delay functions and delay encryptions from hyperelliptic curves

Verifiable delay functions(VDFs)and delay encryptions(DEs)are two important primitives in decentralized systems,while existing constructions are mainly based on time-lock puzzles.A disparate framework has been established by applying isogenies and pairings on elliptic *** this line,we first employ Richelot isogenies and non-degenerate pairings from hyperelliptic curves for a new verifiable delay function,such that no auxiliary proof and interaction are needed for the ***,we demonstrate that our scheme satisfies all security requirements,in particular,our VDF can resist several attacks,including the latest attacks for ***,resorting to the same techniques,a secure delay encryption from hyperelliptic curves is constructed by modifying Boneh and Frankiln's IBE scheme,which shares the identical setup with our VDF *** far as we know,these schemes are the first cryptographic applications from high-genus isogenies apart from basic protocols,i.e.,hash functions and key exchange protocols.

A multiwavelength tunable ring-cavity erbium-doped fiber laser(EDFL)based on a Lyot filter was *** the proposed Lyot filter,a comb filter consisting of an EDF-polarization-maintaining fiber(EDF-PMF),a polarization controller(PC),and a circulator with four ports was used to suppress the mode *** light transmission direction was guaranteed by the *** the proposed fiber laser,tunable single,dual,triple,quadruple,quintuple,sextuple,and septuple wavelengths were realized.A single-wavelength laser output with an optical signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of up to30.56 dB was realized,and a tuning range of 1590.54 nm to 1599.54 nm was achieved by tuning the *** stability of the single,dual,triple,and quadruple-wavelength center power fluctuations was less than 0.05 dB,0.98 dB,5.07 dB,and7.71 dB *** the laser was operated in the multiwavelength condition,the SNR was more than 20.97 *** proposed erbium-doped fiber laser is suitable for fiber-sensing system applications.
