In the dynamic landscape of contemporary global industries, the imperative to foster innovation has been recognized as an indispensable key to corporate growth. Nowhere is this more pronounced than in the pharmaceutical sector, where the pursuit of groundbreaking advancements in research and development is deemed indispensable. Understanding the factors that influence innovative behavior (IB) among employees is of utmost importance, and this paper seeks to study the influence of knowledge sharing (KS) within the pharmaceutical sector in Morocco, specifically focusing on two essential dimensions: knowledge donating (KD) and knowledge collecting (KC). The study aims to collect and analyze data from a diverse sample of 100 engineers in the Moroccan pharmaceutical industry. We used quantitative methodology by employing correlation and multiple regression methodologies, the research endeavors to unravel the intricate association linking knowledge sharing and pharmaceutical engineers’ Innovative behavior. Preliminary findings reveal a positive influence of the dimensions of knowledge sharing on workers' innovative behavior. This suggests that a climate of knowledge exchange and actively seeking knowledge plays a crucial role in driving innovation within the pharmaceutical workplace. Notably, the study places a nuanced emphasis on the efficacy of knowledge donating, underscoring its pivotal role in fostering a dynamic and innovative environment. These findings contribute valuable insights to the broader discourse on organizational innovation. By highlighting the positive correlation between KS and IB, the investigation provides actionable information for practitioners in the pharmaceutical firms. Grasping the effect of KD and KC can empower firms to sustain a culture that encourages collaboration, continuous learning, and ultimately, groundbreaking innovations. There is a growing need to support both government and private on-orbit experiments with a variety of coordinated sensors, both optical and RF, to provide both real-time safety-of-flight as well as high-fidelity orbital truth for offline analysis. However, many of the tools designed to command and control sensors are designed for the few-sensors-to-many-targets mission characteristic of space surveillance, rather than the many-to-few mission of range testing. To address this gap, MIT Lincoln laboratory has developed a web services software architecture designed to reliably support command and control of a heterogeneous distributed network of sensors supporting an on-orbit test range. © 2023 ACES.

Stochastic SICA Epidemic Model with Jump Lévy Processes

We propose and study a shifted SICA epidemic model, extending the one of Silva and Torres (2017) to the stochastic setting driven by both Brownian motion processes and jump Lévy noise. Lévy noise perturbations are usually ignored by existing works of mathematical modelling in epidemiology, but its incorporation into the SICA epidemic model is worth to consider because of the presence of strong fluctuations in HIV/AIDS dynamics, often leading to the emergence of a number of discontinuities in the processes under investigation. Our work is organised as follows: (i) we begin by presenting our model, by clearly justifying its used form, namely the component related to the Lévy noise;(ii) we prove existence and uniqueness of a global positive solution by constructing a suitable stopping time;(iii) under some assumptions, we show extinction of HIV/AIDS;(iv) we obtain sufficient conditions assuring persistence of HIV/AIDS;(v) we illustrate our mathematical results through numerical simulations. We propose and study a stochastic capital-labour model with logistic growth function. First, we show that the model has a unique positive global solution. Student Achievement in Moroccan Student Achievement in Moroccan Educational Reforms: A Significant Gap Between Aspired Outcomes and Current Practices

Despite successive reforms and a high percentage of the national budget devoted to education, Morocco ranks among last in terms of student achievement. This article reviews the definition of student achievement, examines the measures targeting the improvement of student achievement in the last Moroccan educational reforms based on the three drivers identified by Masino and Niño-Zarazúa (Int J Educ Dev 48:53–65, 2015). In addition, it identifies the main difficulties encountered in the implementation of these measures and puts forward some recommendations. It thus concludes that there is a growing gap between the reforms’ aspirations and daily practices at regional and school levels. It also shows that despite the significant progress in infrastructure and enrolment, additional efforts are needed to pragmatically raise student achievement in Morocco. © 2019, Springer Nature B.V.

Mathematical analysis and Optimal Control of Giving up the Smoking Model

In this study, we are going to explore mathematically the dynamics of giving up smoking behavior. For this purpose, we will perform a mathematical analysis of a smoking model and suggest some conditions to control this serious burden on public health. The model under consideration describes the interaction between the potential smokers P, the occasional smokers L, the chain smokers S, the temporarily quit smokers QT, and the permanently quit smokers QP. Existence, positivity, and boundedness of the proposed problem solutions are proved. Local stability of the equilibria is established by using Routh-Hurwitz conditions. Moreover, the global stability of the same equilibria is fulfilled through using suitable Lyapunov functionals. In order to study the optimal control of our problem, we will take into account a two controls' strategy. The first control will represent the government prohibition of smoking in public areas which reduces the contact between nonsmokers and smokers, while the second will symbolize the educational campaigns and the increase of cigarette cost which prevents occasional smokers from becoming chain smokers. The existence of the optimal control pair is discussed, and by using Pontryagin minimum principle, these two optimal controls are characterized. The optimality system is derived and solved numerically using the forward and backward difference approximation. Finally, numerical simulations are performed in order to check the equilibria stability, confirm the theoretical findings, and show the role of optimal strategy in controlling the smoking severity. © 2021 Omar Khyar et al.

The deadly coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has recently affected each corner of the world. Many governments of different countries have imposed strict measures in order to reduce the severity of the infection. In this present paper, we will study a mathematical model describing COVID-19 dynamics taking into account the government action and the individuals reaction. To this end, we will suggest a system of seven fractional deferential equations (FDEs) that describe the interaction between the classical susceptible, exposed, infectious, and removed (SEIR) individuals along with the government action and individual reaction involvement. Both human-to-human and zoonotic transmissions are considered in the model. The well-posedness of the FDEs model is established in terms of existence, positivity, and boundedness. The basic reproduction number (BRN) is found via the new generation matrix method. Different numerical simulations were carried out by taking into account real reported data from Wuhan, China. It was shown that the governmental action and the individuals' risk awareness reduce effectively the infection spread. Moreover, it was established that with the fractional derivative, the infection converges more quickly to its steady state. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

A Binary Crow Search Algorithm for Solving Two-dimensional Bin Packing Problem with Fixed Orientation

This work aims to propose a binary version of a new metaheuristic in order to solve the two-dimensional bin packing problem (2D-BPP) which is a NP-hard optimization problem in a strong sense. Various metaheuristics are dedicated to solve 2D-BPP, however, the swarm intelligence algorithms are rarely frequent in this problem. A new algorithm based on the principles of swarm intelligence was recently introduced, called crow search algorithm (CSA), which has been successfully applied to continuous optimization problems. In this paper, the CSA is binarized by applying a sigmoid transformation so as to adapt it for solving the 2D-BPP. An evaluation of the performance of the proposed binary CSA is carried out by standard instances of 2D-BPP, and the experimental results are compared with two state-of-the-art algorithms that are particle swarm optimization algorithm and the well-known heuristic Finite First Fit. The results obtained by the proposed algorithm prove its effectiveness in terms of solution quality and computational time. Until recently, no study exists that deals with CSA algorithm for solving the packing problems in general and 2D-BPP in particular.

The Knapsack problem is an integer programming problem. This well-known problem in the field of operations research, is considered as a NP-hard problem. In this paper, we present a new hybrid genetic algorithm (HGA) to address one-dimensional knapsack problems, by using a sexual selection operator and a specific-knowledge crossover operator. Empirical results show the feasibility and effectiveness of our new algorithm HGA, by comparing with some selection and crossover mechanisms commonly used for solving the knapsack problems. © 2018 Association for Computing Machinery.
