One of the key challenges in e-commerce is how to provide relevant and personalized product recommendations to users. To achieve this, data analysis and text processing techniques are essential. This research aims to analyze product descriptions based on purchase history and product labels on e-commerce platforms. The objectives of this study are: Analyzing and clustering product descriptions using clustering techniques such as K-Means Clustering. This helps in understanding the patterns and relationships between the various product descriptions present. Using the results from clustering to develop an effective recommendation engine. This recommendation engine will utilize collaborative filtering techniques, where product recommendations are suggested based on similarities between the user's purchase history and relevant product clusters. By analyzing data and developing a recommendation engine based on product descriptions, it is expected to improve the relevance and accuracy of product recommendations for users. This will not only improve the user's shopping experience but can also increase sales and customer satisfaction on e-commerce platforms.

Indonesian Automatic Speech Recognition with XLSR-53

This study focuses on the development of Indonesian Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) using the XLSR-53 pre-trained model, the XLSR stands for cross-lingual speech representations. The use of this XLSR-53 pre-trained model is to significantly reduce the amount of training data in non-English languages required to achieve a competitive Word Error Rate (WER). The total amount of data used in this study is 24 hours, 18 minutes, and 1 second: (1) TITML-IDN 14 hours and 31 minutes;(2) Magic Data 3 hours and 33 minutes;and (3) Common Voice 6 hours, 14 minutes, and 1 second. With a WER of 20%, the model built in this study can compete with similar models using the Common Voice dataset split test. WER can be decreased by around 8% using a language model, resulted in WER from 20% to 12%. Thus, the results of this study have succeeded in perfecting previous research in contributing to the creation of a better Indonesian ASR with a smaller amount of data. © 2023, CC BY-SA.

Defragmentation can potentially be employed as a tactic by perpetrators to conceal, misrepresent, or eliminate digital evidence. This study explores the effects of minor defragmentation, a potential method to conceal digital evidence, on recovering file system data in digital forensics. Our investigation sought to determine the influence of minor defragmentation on the effectiveness of data recovery and to identify methods that can augment the success rate post-defragmentation. We limited the scope of this study to defragmentation in Hard Disk Drives (HDDs), solid-state drives (SSDs), and USB drives. A mixed-method approach employs a literature review, case studies, and controlled experiments. Comparative analysis was used as the main data analysis technique to investigate its impact. Preliminary findings suggest that minor defragmentation hampers data recovery; however, certain strategies can augment success rates. These results can significantly influence the development of data recovery policies, particularly those of digital forensic analysts and law enforcement. The primary objective of this study is to bolster the efficiency and dependability of file system data recovery post-defragmentation while upholding ethical and legal standards.

Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) is happening because the heart stops pumping the blood to the brain, lungs, et cetera, which will cause death within an hour. With this high risk and low survivability rate, real-time Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring systems have become a solution to tackle this problem. The system needs to be accessible at any time and condition by multiple users who bring up the needs of the availability and scalability of the system. Some research had been conducted on IoT monitoring system but still the result of availability and scalability not acceptable for a real-life scenario. The purpose of this research is to propose an architecture for a real-time IoT monitoring system for sudden cardiac death by using Kubernetes as the container orchestration and ProtocolBuffers as the Binary Serialization. The result shows us applying Kubernetes and ProtocolBuffers gives a good result with 100% successfully stored data and 50.5s end-to-end Execution time for 50000 requests which reflect a high availability and fast system. © 2021 IEEE.

The application of information technology in addition to making internal business processes more effective and efficient, is also to improve customer service. This role is important for companies to maintain the sustainability of information systems as a strategic tool for competitive advantage so system availability is absolutely essential. Research related to the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) needs to be carried out to see the readiness of a corporation to build a backup system in different places and locations. By using the method of factor analysis and regression analysis to form an evaluation model, it will obtain an overview of what factors must be considered and what the current conditions are. The results of the study show that there are Core Technical DRP, Organizational Preparation, and Costing factors which are the main variables in supporting DRP readiness. The conclusion from this study, through these three new factors a mathematical model can be built as a reference for improving DRP implementation in corporations. © 2023 The Authors. Malaria is a communicable disease with half of the global population at risk due to its high morbidity and mortality rates. A massive number of studies are dedicated to malaria research, so it plays a key role in formulating the proper prevention strategy and effective malaria treatment. With the overwhelming number of updated publications in the field, an unsupervised text mining approach such as topic modeling may provide an alternative method for the malaria researcher to keep pace with new insights. In this work, we collect metadata of malaria publications from the PubMed database to perform BERT-based topic modeling to find well-defined topics regarding malaria research. The method is largely based on the popular BERTopic pipeline. We compare the performance of three different language models to generate document embeddings from the data. The dimension reduction and the density-based clustering algorithm are used to cluster the embeddings. The topic representation is computed based on the semantic similarity of the class TF-IDF representation. The substance of the resulting topics is then manually annotated based on the top words of each topic. We demonstrate that by merging initial topics into larger topics using hierarchical clustering and manual content-based examination, the evaluated coherence measure can be further improved, thus enhancing the topic's interpretability. Our modeling result is able to extract ten major topics recurring in the malaria research publication published from 2017-2022. The result provides preliminary insight to understand the dynamics and patterns of malaria research over the years © 2022 IEEE.

This paper proposes a measurement technique for an integrated complex filter. The proposed method is based on two measurement methods with integrated circuitry for calibration. It is accomplished by applying square waves to an FUT (Filter Under Test) instead of sinusoidal waves or by superposing transfer characteristics obtained by applying a single sinusoidal wave to an FUT. In both of the above methods, the output signal connected to the external measurement equipment via a 50 Ω coaxial cable and so on. In this case, the output signal of the FUT should be amplified by internal or external amplifiers, which degrades the response. However, it is cancelled out by the proposed calibration circuitry with some analog switches. In addition to the above, for the RC polyphase filter, the source resistance and the load capacitance degrade the measurement results and their effect is discussed. The validity of the proposal is confirmed through computer simulation for a third-order RCPF whose passband is 8–40 MHz fabricated by Phenitec 0.6 µm CMOS process. It is shown that the measurement error is −1.10 dB for the square-wave method and −1.00 dB and −0.43 degrees for the superposition method at 40 MHz. © 2025 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

programming can help K-12 students to develop their 21st-century core skills. Despite the benefits, programming is not common to be delivered in Indonesian K-12 education. There is a need to understand potential challenges in introducing programming to K-12 students. We developed a questionnaire survey covering four identified dimensions of challenges: administrative, facilities, teachers, and students. We also asked about common programming assessments and their preferred software features for teaching programming. Forty K-12 teachers were invited to complete the survey. The responses were analyzed with thematic analysis using a bigram-based Latent Dirichlet Allocation topic modeling and descriptive statistics. Our study shows that the challenges include limited learning modules, an insufficient number of computers, limited programming skills, and limited computational thinking skills. Scratch was the most common programming language used and many programming assessments were about debugging a program or writing a small program. Visualization and animation can be helpful in teaching programming. © 2023 IEEE.

Accurately predicting an owl species based on its sound can be helpful for owl conservation. To build an accurate model for owl sound classification, deep learning is currently the most preferred algorithm, due to its excellent performance for modeling audio data. However, deep learning is generally underperformed for a small dataset, which is the case for recognizing scops owl sound. To overcome the issue, we proposed a transfer learning strategy, which is common for computer vision tasks, that can alleviate overfitting in a deep learning model for the owl sound classification. In our approach, we propose a neural network architecture consisting of the backbone of a EfficientNet model pre-Trained on the massive ImageNet database. The model takes the sound input that has been converted as two image representations: Spectrogram and Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients. Our strategy enables the use of a relatively small size of pre-Trained image classification model, which is widely available, for transfer learning in owl sound classification. Deploying the lightweight model in an automatic sound classifier provides a fast and accurate tool for various owl conservation purposes. © 2022 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.

Sentiment Analysis for TikTok Review Using VADER Sentiment and SVM Model

TikTok, a social networking site for uploading short videos, has become one of the most popular. Despite this, not all users are happy with the app; there are criticisms and suggestions, one of which is reviewed via the TikTok app on the Google Play Store. The reviews were extracted and then used for training a sentiment analysis model. The VADER sentiment method was utilized to offer the review's initial labeling (positive, neutral, and negative). The result revealed that most reviews were classified as positive, meaning that the data were imbalanced and challenging to handle in further analysis. Therefore, Random Under-sampling (RUS) and Random Over-sampling (ROS) methods were deployed to deal with that condition. The labeled reviews were subsequently pre-processed using tools such as case folding, noise removal, normalization, and stopwords before being used for training a Support Vector Machine (SVM) model for sentiment classification. The SVM trained without resampling produced the most favorable results, with an F1-score of 0.80.
