This paper proposes a measurement technique for an integrated complex filter. The proposed method is based on two measurement methods with integrated circuitry for calibration. It is accomplished by applying square waves to an FUT (Filter Under Test) instead of sinusoidal waves or by superposing transfer characteristics obtained by applying a single sinusoidal wave to an FUT. In both of the above methods, the output signal connected to the external measurement equipment via a 50 Ω coaxial cable and so on. In this case, the output signal of the FUT should be amplified by internal or external amplifiers, which degrades the response. However, it is cancelled out by the proposed calibration circuitry with some analog switches. In addition to the above, for the RC polyphase filter, the source resistance and the load capacitance degrade the measurement results and their effect is discussed. The validity of the proposal is confirmed through computer simulation for a third-order RCPF whose passband is 8–40 MHz fabricated by Phenitec 0.6 µm CMOS process. It is shown that the measurement error is −1.10 dB for the square-wave method and −1.00 dB and −0.43 degrees for the superposition method at 40 MHz. © 2025 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Deep learning has excellent learning and feature classification abilities, extracting features in massive, multi-source, and high-dimensional measurement data. It also diagnoses and generalizes models without relying on manual intervention. Thus, it is widely used in equipment fault diagnosis. We introduce the common models of deep learning: deep confidence network, convolutional neural network, and automatic encoder. Using deep learning, the fault diagnosis of rolling bearings is executed, and the result provides the basis for future development. © 2023 IEEE.

Symmetric algorithms offer speed but have weaknesses in key distribution, while asymmetric algorithms are secure but less efficient for encrypting and decrypting large text messages. This research aims to secure data and digital documents through the implementation of a hybrid cryptosystem that combines the Cramer-Shoup algorithm and Spritz. This research also analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness and speed of encryption and decryption, as well as the efficiency of the system in protecting various types of data, including docx and pdf document files. The methodology of this research includes a literature review, analysis of the encryption-decryption process, and performance testing of the system using the Python programming language. The speed test results show that this hybrid cryptosystem provides fast encryption-decryption times, with an encryption time of 0.002607 milliseconds for 400 characters and a decryption time of 0.001537 milliseconds, while for digital documents of the pdf file type, the encryption time is 0.424478 milliseconds and the decryption time is 0.404343 milliseconds. In addition, the use of the SHA-3 hash function has proven effective in maintaining data integrity. In conclusion, this hybrid cryptosystem offers an efficient and secure solution for protecting various types of digital data, including text and documents.

In recent years, the global elderly population has been on the rise, and Taiwan is projected to enter the super-aged society by 2025. The health of the elderly has become a crucial global issue, particularly with diseases like sarcopenia affecting cognition and physical functions. In response to this trend, the government has actively promoted senior fitness clubs;however, the quantity of these clubs is insufficient for the elderly population, and some seniors find it challenging to participate. Traditional home-based exercise programs also tend to be monotonous or tedious. Therefore, this study introduces a supportive mechanism using serious games, incorporating image recognition technology to provide customized home-based physical training games for the elderly. The system features a senior-friendly gaming environment, is non-wearable, and easy to set up. It dynamically adjusts difficulty levels through real-time data, ensuring both safety and engagement in training. In summary, the system aims to offer the elderly a safe, enjoyable, and personalized platform for physical training assistance, addressing the ongoing challenges of maintaining health in aging populations. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s). The increase in the production of municipal solid waste around the world will be expected to continue to increase. Even though developed countries already have recycling technology to convert waste into products that can be reused, such as generating electricity, heat energy, composting fertilizers, and biofuels, there are still many challenges created by waste because in developing countries the countermeasures themselves are still so things are difficult starting from the inadequate collection, transportation, and disposal of waste. This research will solve the problem of evaluate various waste-to-energy technologies that have been developed since the invention that was able to convert recycled waste into renewable energy until now. This research can be divided into four groups. Namely starting from waste treatment thermally, biologically, biorefinery, and utilization of landfill gas. The novelty of this research for waste-to-energy technology with an integrated waste management system, it has been safely understood and tested feasible for energy renewal which can already show several examples from around the world. The method used to solve the unresolved waste problem in this scientific paper is to use WTE and ISWM-S technology which can certainly be a brilliant solution in converting urban solid waste into renewable energy for a clean world from waste to waste and also provides a future. Where people no longer need to worry about the limitations of limited natural resources to be processed into energy. © 2022 IEEE.

In the high-performance computing domain, Field programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is a novel accelerator that exhibits high flexibility and performance characteristics distinct from other accelerators such as the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). Recent advanced high-end FPGA is equipped with multiple channels of high speed optical link up to 100Gbps performance for each. This is a crucial feature when we construct PC clusters with FPGAs as accelerators, however it is not easy to utilize from user kernels because this feature is implemented in low level and simple direct communication between neighboring FPGAs. In order to provide the communication feature between FPGAs for accelerated PC clusters, we developed a communication system named CIRCUS which implies a user-friendly API from OpenCL and is equipped with routing function over multi-hop communication on multi-dimensional torus network of FPGAs. However, current CIRCUS only provides a point-to-point communication between source and destination FPGAs. In ordinary parallel processing environment such as MPI, the user program the message passing with various collective communication functions for parallel algorithm, for instance Allreduce, Allgather, etc. In this paper, we implement the collective communication function over CIRCUS for user-friendly programming of ordinary parallel algorithms on FPGAs. As the first target, we implement Allreduce function which is the most essential and important function. The paper describes the CIRCUS system briefly followed by the design, implementation and preliminary performance evaluation on Intel Stratix10 FPGAs. © 2023 ACM.

Online discussion forums are widely used for active textual interaction between lecturers and students, and to see how the students have progressed in a learning process. The objective of this study is to compare appropriate machine-learning models to assess sentiments and Bloom's epistemic taxonomy based on textual comments in educational discussion forums. The proposed method is called the hierarchical approach of Bloom-Epistemic and Sentiment Analysis (BE-Sent). The research methodology consists of three main steps. The first step is the data collection from the internal discussion forum and YouTube comments of a Web programming channel. The next step is text preprocessing to annotate the text and clear unimportant words. Furthermore, with the text dataset that has been successfully cleaned, sentiment analysis and epistemic categorization will be done in each sentence of the text. Sentiment analysis is divided into three categories: positive, negative, and neutral. Bloom's epistemic is divided into six categories: remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. This research has succeeded in producing a course learning subsystem that assesses opinions based on text reviews of discussion forums according to the category of sentiment and epistemic analysis. © 2024, CC BY-SA.

This study aims to envision the future of banking and the FinTech industry collaboration by the triggers for change based on trends watching in current conditions. Envisioning is the ability to describe the impact of changes in the business environment caused by the various trigger changes observed in trend watching. The current conditions and the triggers of change based on trend-watching are issues and considerations in envisioning collaboration between banking and the Fintech industry. The research methodology uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The study surveyed 100 respondents, each representing the banking and FinTech sectors, who understand the issues related to the collaboration of the two industries. In addition, to complement the survey data, this study also conducted Focus Group Discussions and In-depth Interviews as a qualitative approach. The study's results by analyzing current conditions and triggers of change based on trend watching will represent a picture of the future of banking and FinTech industry collaboration. This research will expect a significant contribution to government regulations/policies and a positive contribution and support on the IT/IS side, especially in applied technology and architecture/business models for collaboration in the future of collaboration banking and the FinTech Industry that follow. © 2022 IEEE.

Economic and technological developments are increasing over time, this affects environmental conditions and there have been real problems such as air pollution and plastic waste. This study aims to examine the positive influence of green brand image, green awareness, green advertising, ecological knowledge, environmental attitude and altruism toward green purchase intention. This study has six variables with the target population with the criteria of being at least 18 years old, and consumers who have used environmentally friendly products and consumers who are in Indonesia. Data collection in this study using online questionnaire to 170 respondents and used purposive sampling as a sampling method. The data analysis method for this study uses PLS-SEM with the Smart-PLS application. The results show that green brand image has a positive effect on green purchase intention, green awareness has a positive effect on green purchase intention, ecological knowledge has a positive effect on green purchase intention, and alturism has a positive effect on green purchase intention and the results of this study also show that green advertising and environmental attitude do not have a positive influence on green purchase intentions © 2023 IEEE.

The objective of this paper is to develop a robot system that can transmit the video taken by the drone to the computer in real time, use YOLO to recognize the image of pedestrians, and enable the ground robot to plan the path to avoid pedestrians. External sensors, such as laser range finders (LRF) and CCD cameras, are often used on mobile robots. As we all know, these sensors are susceptible to occlusion. Therefore, even if the mobile robot avoids the pedestrian in front of it, it is likely to collide with other pedestrians that cannot be detected due to occlusion. In this study, we used a drone to shoot videos at high altitudes, transferred the videos to a computer, used YOLO on the computer to perform image recognition of pedestrians around the robot, and passed the recognition results to ROS, which enabled it to plan a path to avoid pedestrians around it. As a result, showed that the videos shot at high altitudes could effectively identify pedestrians around the robot after being recognized by YOLO. © 2025 IEEE.
