Passenger transport is one of the most common ways of commuting in Taiwan. It plays an important role in the transportation system due to its large number of stations, dense frequency, and cheap transportation. Due to the unfriendly transportation environment and a large number of passengers, a blind spot of passenger transportation exists, which leads to traffic accidents at the station. We research to make the Bus Stop Passenger Detection System. Taking the object detection of Wheelchairs into consideration, it is more convenient to assist the disabled to find the passenger transportation system, which makes Taiwan's transportation system more convenient. © 2023 IEEE.

This article describes the architecture of software services that provide registration of small boat data to build maritime safety. The proposed system architecture which so-called SIMKAPEL aims to support small boat registration for maritime safety. It is developed from a conventional service-oriented architecture (SOA) with an open standard for data interoperability between elements. The goal of this research is to implement and evaluate the proposed architecture to support small boat registration and e-certification. Several parts of the architecture have been implemented as a platform that provides core services and data sources to be used by Ministry of Transportation, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, and other government agencies. Finally, the proposed SIMKAPEL platform with the SOA architecture is evaluated for its benefits to users through the expert opinion survey to measure its efficiency. The analysis results showed that SOA-based SIMKAPEL is feasible to use as a boat e-certification system. Furthermore, experiment results provide three parameters (e.g., maritime safety, namely, cargo/passengers, boat safety facilities, and maritime safety systems) with efficiency values of 42%, 46%, and 42%, respectively. The parameter with the highest efficiency shows a big effect on the level of safety of the boat and passengers. Thus, the parameters that need to be prioritized and need boat owners’ attention are cargo/passenger, boat safety equipment, and maritime safety system. © 2023, The Author(s).

Nowadays, it cannot be denied that social media has been in many parts of people's lives, especially in entertainment, business and education. Public figures including politicians frequently use social platforms to connect with their audience, for example Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok and etc. One of the most commonly used is a platform called Twitter or also known as X. It is a platform that people can share their opinions in short messages. Since there is an alphabet limitation, people can deliver and receive message rapidly. It is a perfect platform that we could use to update the real-time situations for example election, emergency alert, natural disasters and etc. According to its characteristic, it can be used as a data source for social media analytics, which involves collecting and analyzing data to perform business decisions. The social media analytics has become commonplace because the number of people using social media tends to increase every second. Specifically, Twitter sentiment analysis offers a quick and inexpensive tool for monitoring and predictions. In this work, Twitter is used as a data source to monitor and predict Thailand Election in 2023 because this election highly attracts attention from Thais and international. Moreover, Twitter is a significant platform that is used to debate about political events in Thailand. The result of this election potentially indicates Thailand's future, including economics, public health, environment, international relations and etc. Our work performs sentiment analysis to categorize the data and mainly focuses on extracting sentiment from text without considering semantic word relations and co-occurrences because it is appropriate and functional for Thai sentence analysis. Deep learning (DL) has been proposed as a promising solution for network intrusion detection systems (NIDSs). While most DL-based NIDSs focus on high accuracy, they often overlook the critical issue of NIDSs response time for intrusion behavior. Recently some existing works presented time-aware evaluation metrics or design DL-based solutions for early intrusion detection, yet they primarily focus on the post-performance of NIDSs, without thoroughly investigating the impact of early intrusion detection on DL-based NIDSs due to the black-box nature of DL models. To address this research gap, we explore the impact of early detection on DL-based models' detection accuracy and input features. In our empirical study, we implement two different existing deep learning-based NIDSs methods and evaluate them on three published benchmark NIDSs datasets. Based on the experiment results on DL-based NIDSs detection accuracy, we observe that the early detection scenario will lead to the NIDSs model's detection accuracy decreasing up to 50%. To understand the reasons behind it, we adopt the SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) to analyze the importance of features and we observe the varying feature distributions. The feature importance and feature distribution results show that early intrusion detection may lead to a degradation of feature quality. © 2023 IEEE.

Batik is a cultural heritage of Indonesia, recognized by WHO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage. Batik is dyed by skilled craftsmen who make patterns with dots and lines on the fabric from melted wax. The process is complicated, so few people can experience all the steps in crafting Batik. From these problems, immersive learning media are needed so everyone can learn and gain experience in Batik crafting from start to finish. In this study, we will present Nge-BatikVR, a serious game application that introduces Batik through Virtual Reality and offers an immersive experience of learning Batik from various regions with interactive hands-on feature aimed at people to better understand and learn Batik. Nge-BatikVR offers four main features called Sinau (Learn), Kuis (Quiz), Nge-Batik (Simulation) and Toko (Shopping), with the main purpose to present interactive and engaging media useful for introducing and learning Batik with a fully immersive experience. © 2023 IEEE.

Efficiency and convenience have increased as a result of the Internet of Things’ (IoT) expanding adoption across several enterprises. Nevertheless, the dynamic nature of IoT devices severely hinders real-time security breach prevention. Model checking, self-adaptation, and the Behavior-Interaction-Priority (BIP) component model are combined into an application layer to increase data-driven security for IoT systems. An integrated approach is proposed in this paper as a conceptual model for Internet of Things (IoT) security. This approach may have the potential to significantly improve the identification and mitigation of security concerns, including bogus data, malware attacks, and secure system transactions. The framework model is comprised of four primary components: BIP-based Secure Data Collection and Storage (BIP-SDCS), BIP-based Data Analytics (BIP-DA), BIP-based Secure Threat Detection and Response (BIP-STDR), BIP-based Continuous Monitoring (BIP-CM). © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Physician scheduling is a critical task that impacts the quality of patient care, staff satisfaction, and operational efficiency in healthcare institutions. The traditional approach to physician scheduling is manual and time-consuming, which can result in errors, staff burnout, and suboptimal schedules. To address these challenges, researchers have turned to optimization techniques like CSP, which has shown promise in solving physician scheduling problems. This paper reviews the existing literature on CSP for physician scheduling and highlights the benefits and limitations of this approach. CSP's benefits include generating schedules quickly and efficiently, incorporating complex constraints and preferences, and handling changes and disruptions in real time. However, CSP also has some limitations, such as the need for a formalized model and the fact that it may not always generate the most intuitive schedules. Overall, the findings suggest that CSP is a promising approach to physician scheduling that can produce high-quality schedules while minimizing staff burnout and improving operational efficiency. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes a measurement technique for an integrated complex filter. The proposed method is based on two measurement methods with integrated circuitry for calibration. It is accomplished by applying square waves to an FUT (Filter Under Test) instead of sinusoidal waves or by superposing transfer characteristics obtained by applying a single sinusoidal wave to an FUT. In both of the above methods, the output signal connected to the external measurement equipment via a 50 Ω coaxial cable and so on. In this case, the output signal of the FUT should be amplified by internal or external amplifiers, which degrades the response. However, it is cancelled out by the proposed calibration circuitry with some analog switches. In addition to the above, for the RC polyphase filter, the source resistance and the load capacitance degrade the measurement results and their effect is discussed. The validity of the proposal is confirmed through computer simulation for a third-order RCPF whose passband is 8–40 MHz fabricated by Phenitec 0.6 µm CMOS process. It is shown that the measurement error is −1.10 dB for the square-wave method and −1.00 dB and −0.43 degrees for the superposition method at 40 MHz. © 2025 The Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.

Virtualization technologies are still growing bigger and faster. Despite the greatness of its advancement, the costume industry is still very accessible when it comes to real trials. Off-the-shelf stuff are inadequate details for the desired individual to assess its in-depth utility for each garment trying on for a second, including custom stuff are much harder to try out right away. To this end, 2D image-based 3D reconstruction inclusive of touchable-virtualized space is accessible easier to stuff details for mans' decision making in purchasing. We establish the overall end-to-end pipeline from reconstruction until visualization for one instance to be triable on its stuff for a moment. As an expectation, our proposed approach can bring objects into the experimental area and use them immediately without any obstacle. © 2023 IEEE.

The Smart Power Grid (SPG) is pivotal in orchestrating and managing demand response in contemporary smart cities, leveraging the prowess of information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Within the immersive SPG environment, the ubiquitous deployment of smart meters stands as a testament to their paramount importance in the realm of vigilant monitoring and oversight. These smart meters are installed on high-tension electricity lines and transmit information about electricity outages and other issues to the utility center. To access services from utility centers, smart meters need to communicate securely over a public channel, even though the network itself is insecure. However, potential attacks from adversaries ( Ad) can exploit this communication. Therefore, protecting this communication is of utmost importance. Several privacy-preserving authentication protocols designed for SPG have been introduced in the literature. Nevertheless, a significant number of these protocols exhibit vulnerabilities to diverse security attacks. This article introduces a lightweight and anonymous authentication protocol specifically designed to address these concerns in the SPG environment. Our protocol ensures both security and efficiency, surpassing other comparable protocols in terms of its lightweight nature. By employing both formal and informal analysis, we showcase the robustness of our protocol against significant attacks while remaining lightweight. The proposed protocol provides added security features and incurs 23.8879% lower computation cost than related protocols. Consequently, our protocol is highly suitable for implementation in the SPG system. © 2020 IEEE.
