In this paper, a class of linear switched systems with time delays is investigated. At the same time, the impulsive effects and parametric uncertainty assumed to be norm-bounded are considered. Some novel exponentially stable criteria are obtained by constructing appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional. The validity of the results is shown by one numerical example.

Significant challenges has been introduced for IP networks with the advent of new emerging applications, such as VOIP and E-Commerce, that require delivering quality guarantees. However, IP networks were originally designed to support best effort delivery only. Two Quality of Service (QoS) standard models, IntServ, DiffServ have been standardized by the Internet engineering Task Force (IETF). Although these methods guarantee delivery, they have drawbacks such as complexity, restrictions of predefined classes and higher end-to-end delay. In this paper, a new QoS mathematical model has been proposed This model is based on the principles of Network Calculus in which an incoming traffic flow is regulated by an arrival curve that upper bounds its rate. Then, this traffic flow is lower bounded and delayed by a service latency time at each node on its way to the destination node. The worst case end-to-end delay is derived and illustrated by a numerical example. The proposed model has achieved acceptable end-to-end delay compared with the other models.

The importance of gene expression data in cancer diagnosis and treatment by now has been widely recognized by cancer researchers in recent years. However, one of the major challenges in the computational analysis of such data is the curse of dimensionality, due to the overwhelming number of measures of gene expression levels versus the small number of samples. Here, we use a two-step method to reduce the dimension of gene expression data. At first, we extract a subset of genes based on the statistical characteristics of their corresponding gene expression measurements. For further dimensionality reduction, we then apply diffusion maps, which interpret the eigenfunctions of Markov matrices as a system of coordinates on the original data set in order to obtain efficient representation of data geometric descriptions, to the reduced data. A neural network clustering theory, Fuzzy ART, is applied to the resulting data to generate clusters of cancer samples. Experimental results on the small round blue-cell tumor (SRBCT) data set, compared with other widely-used clustering algorithms, demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method in addressing multidimensional gene expression data.

This paper evaluates an innovative training method which is based on TDD (Test Driven Development) and implemented in an automatic online judge system named *** running the automatic grading system DICE at Hsing Kuo High school in Taiwan for years, we found that some students were left out by the DICE system. We needed a more sophisticated mechanism to assist underachievers. Our solution was to utilize TDD as an extension of the DICE system to promote learning performance in *** implemented DICE with TDD and have applied the innovative training method in the programming curriculum at Hsin Kuo High school in Taiwan for one semester. Simultaneously we conducted an experiment with a control and experimental group to estimate the efficiency of DICE with *** finding is that DICE with TDD improves the mean scores of learners by 50.88% over the control group.

The robust stability and stabilization, and H-infinity control problems for discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems with parameter uncertainties are discussed. Based on the restricted system equivalent (r.s.e.) transformation and by introducing new state vectors, the singular system is transformed into a discrete-time Markovian jump standard linear system, and the linear matrix inequality (LMI) conditions for the discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems to be regular, causal, stochastically stable, and stochastically stable with 7- disturbance attenuation are obtained, respectively. With these conditions, the robust state feedback stochastic stabilization problem and H-infinity control problem are solved, and the LMI conditions are obtained. A numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the method given in the oaoer.

In this paper, we propose a networking mechanism using address management agent so that networking using IP in RFID. Network mechanism using address management agent receives RFID tag ID of various length and generates IP address. Also, the information of RFID tag ID and IP address is mapped and it stored in address management agent. In this work, multiple radar waveforms are simultaneously transmitted, emitted from different ldquovirtualrdquo antennas. The goal is to process the returns in such a way that the overall ambiguity function is a sum of ambiguity functions better approximating the desired thumbtack shape. A 4times4 example involves two spatially separated antennas with each able to transmit and receive simultaneously on two different polarizations. The 4times4 unitary design dictates the scheduling of the waveforms over the four virtual antennas over four PRIs (pulse repetition intervals), and how the matched filtering of the returns over four PRIs is combined in to achieve both perfect separation (of the superimposed returns) and perfect reconstruction. Perfect reconstruction means the sum of the time-autocorrelations associated with each of the four waveforms is a delta function. Conditions for both perfect separation and perfect reconstruction are developed, and a variety of waveform sets satisfying both are presented.

This work performs experimental verification of the asymptotic stability of two different types of fractional scalar systems by using universal adaptive stabilization as in. The types of systems verified experimentally are: (I) Fractional dynamics with integer order control strategy (II) Fractional dynamics with fractional order control strategy. The Mittag-Leffler function E alpha (-lambdat alpha ), forallalphaisin (2, 3] and lambda > 0 is used as a Nussbaum function as per [1]. Extensive hardware in the loop simulation of the mathematically developed results have been included in the paper. The results of the experiment serve not only to improve the understanding of fractional order universal adaptive stabilization but also proves that the methodology works well on real world systems.
