This paper introduces dynamic view, a novel semantic Web application, for users to query, browse and visualize distribution and evolution of research interests in temporal, spatial and ontological dimensions. We present motivation and requirements for a system like dynamic view, and discuss its architecture. We outline main algorithms for term extraction from Web pages of researchers and ontology learning from digital libraries, and sketch visualizations we used in the interface.

It is known that modeling impedance in distribution networks, including the percentage of induction motor load, is essential to the study of distribution system dynamic responses. In this paper, some field observations of dynamic load behaviors related to distribution network impedance and the percentage of induction motor load are justified using a novel composite load model and output trajectory sensitivity analysis. To provide this justification, we propose a composite load model named Z-ZIP-IM where equivalent distribution network impedance is serially connected to a conventional ZIP-induction motor (ZIP-IM) model. Then parameter values of the proposed composite load model are estimated using actual measurement data from TVA. Finally, output trajectory sensitivity with respect to model parameters at the obtained values is analyzed. In addition, the numerical identifiability of the obtained parameter values is tested.

Agency alters the subjective sense of time and sensitivity to sensory stimulus. We quantified the effect of agency in the processing of audiovisual integration in the brain by psychophysical methods. In the experiment, either the subjects or the experimenter pressed two buttons, which generated a visual and an auditory stimulus respectively. Participants judged the temporal order of the successive audiovisual stimuli in both conditions. The results show that the involvement of subject's agency increased the accuracy of judgments for the timing of the generated stimuli significantly. It is indicated that the subjective sense of time changes in a dynamical manner affected by the involvement of agency and sensori-motor contingency.

We introduce a generalized Wigner-Yanase skew information and then derive the trace inequality related to the uncertainty relation. This inequality is a non-trivial generalization of the uncertainty relation derived by *** for the quantum uncertainty quantity excluding the classical mixture. And we introduce a generalized Fisher information and then derive a generalized Cramer-Rao inequality. We also give an example for our generalized Fisher information and then derive the uncertainty relation for two observables.

Super-peer P2P systems strike a balance between searching efficiency in centralized P2P systems and the autonomy, load balancing and robustness provided by pure P2P systems. Super-peer is a node in the super-peer P2P system that maintains the central index for the information shared by a set of peers within the same cluster. The central index handles the searching request on behalf of the connecting set of peers and also passes on the request to neighboring super-peers in order to access additional indices and peers. In this paper, we study the behavior of query answering in super-peer P2P systems with the aim of understanding the issues and tradeoffs in designing a scalable super-peer system. We focus on where to post queries in order to retrieve the result and investigate the implications for four different architectures: caching queries and caching query results at the super-peer; caching the data location of previous queries; and an ordinary P2P system without any caching facilities. The paper discusses the tradeoffs parameters between architectures with respect to caching, highlights the effect of key parameter on system performance.

This paper presents a model-based register transfer level (RTL) design of a 4times2 multiple-inputs multiple-outputs (MIMO)-orthogonal frequency domain multiplexing (OFDM) wireless communication systems transmitter and its field programmable gate array (FPGA) implementation. This system provides a maximum of 600 Mbps with 20 meter of propagation distance using 80 MHz baseband bandwidth with 4times2 MIMO scheme.

In this paper, the new state predictors are proposed to improve the performance of the predictors in predictive controller for teleoperation with time delay. The proposed state predictors are designed based on solution trajectories of the dynamics. The prediction errors of the proposed predictors do not depend on past prediction errors. To achieve non-delayed synchronization, proposed predictors are incorporated to the predictive control structure. Using the Lyapunov stability method, the proposed control structure is shown to be stable even in the presence of time delay. Experimental results show the effectiveness of our proposed teleoperation.

The robust stability and stabilization, and H-infinity control problems for discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems with parameter uncertainties are discussed. Based on the restricted system equivalent （r.s.e.） transformation and by introducing new state vectors, the singular system is transformed into a discrete-time Markovian jump standard linear system, and the linear matrix inequality （LMI） conditions for the discrete-time Markovian jump singular systems to be regular, causal, stochastically stable, and stochastically stable with 7- disturbance attenuation are obtained, respectively. With these conditions, the robust state feedback stochastic stabilization problem and H-infinity control problem are solved, and the LMI conditions are obtained. A numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the method given in the oaoer.

As more and more mission critical services emerge on the Internet, there is a growing demand for the Internet to provide stringent service availability and reliability. Many studies show that inter-domain links fail as frequently as intra-domain links. The performance of those services in the present of failures would be greatly deteriorated. In this paper, we propose a scalable and resilient inter-domain routing protocol, called SR-BGP, to dynamically establish a protected tunnel. Once the inter-domain link failure is detected, routers could react quickly to perform non-stop routing relying on the pre-established tunnel. Through simulation we demonstrate that SR-BGP is more resilient to link failures than BGP and the inflation of routing table size due to the deployment of SR-BGP is acceptable.

Securely authenticating a human user without assistance from any auxiliary device in the presence of powerful passive adversaries is an important and challenging problem. Passive adversaries are those that can passively monitor, intercept, and analyze every part of the authentication procedure, except for an initial secret shared between the user and the server. In this paper, we propose a new secure authentication scheme called predicate-based authentication service (PAS). In this scheme, for the first time, the concept of a predicate is introduced for authentication. We conduct analysis on the proposed scheme and implement its prototype system. Our analytical data and experimental data illustrate that the PAS scheme can simultaneously achieve a desired level of security and user friendliness.
