The previous study conducted by Li(2022)demonstrates that the Goda graph can be adequately represented by a solitary-wave-like form across the entire range of relative water depth,with the exception of the extremely shallow ***,it remains uncertain whether this form is equally effective when applied to test data generated by irregular waves,as the Goda graph was initially developed based on overtopping data from regular wave ***,it is unclear whether this form is suitable for formulating overtopping discharge at composite vertical *** order to address these questions,a 2D overtopping experiment was conducted,incorporating both simple and composite types of vertical walls,with various relative water depths across the entire range,excluding the extremely shallow zone.A novel analysis procedure was developed,which proved to be highly productive and can be considered a general method for data ***,the study yielded two conclusions:(1)the solitary-wave-like form is remarkably effective in formulating overtopping test data generated by irregular waves,regardless of whether the vertical wall is simple or composite,and(2)the resulting formulas exhibit definitely better performance compared with existing formulas.

Numerical simulations of the non-spherical evolution of a pulsating bubble interacting with a stationary air bubble attached to a fixed structure were performed using a three-dimensional boundary integral method by implementing the mirror image method to simplify the processing of the numerical model. Code validation was accomplished by comparing the numerical results with the laboratory experimental data obtained in our previous study. Complex phenomena were observed, including three types of bubble jet forms, which depended strongly on the distance parameter with respect to the initial location of the bubble from the plate, the bubble strength parameter and the initial air bubble radius parameters. The results of the simulations provide detail insight into interesting bubble jetting phenomena,such as bubble splitting, jets moving away from the plate, and bubble shedding. The dimensionless distance parameter and the initial air bubble radius parameter play a major role in determining the shapes of two bubbles and the jetting direction. The air bubble strength parameter did not change the bubble jet direction but influenced the bubble *** detachment of the attached air bubble under oscillating bubble suction was easily observed for a small initial air bubble. These results showed that bubble jetting toward the plate was manipulated through the effect of attached air bubble, and that cavitation-based applications and underwater explosion bubble may benefit from this erosion mitigation approach.

During ship operations,frequent heave movements can pose significant challenges to the overall safety of the ship and completion of cargo *** existing heave compensation systems suffer from issues such as dead zones and control system time lags,which necessitate the development of reasonable prediction models for ship heave *** this paper,a novel model based on a time graph convolutional neural network algorithm and particle swarm optimization algorithm(PSO-TGCN)is proposed for the first time to predict the multipoint heave movements of ships under different sea *** enhance the dataset's suitability for training and reduce interference,various filter algorithms are employed to optimize the *** training process utilizes simulated heave data under different sea conditions and measured heave data from multiple *** results show that the PSO-TGCN model predicts the ship swaying motion in different sea states after 2 s with 84.7%accuracy,while predicting the swaying motion in three different *** performing a comparative study,it was also found that the present method achieves better performance that other popular *** model can provide technical support for intelligent ship control,improve the control accuracy of intelligent ships,and promote the development of intelligent ships.
