The domain of Matched-field processing (MFP) has been comprehensively studied in temperate oceans. But MFP source localization in under-ice shallow water environment has rarely conducted and is a topic of great novelty. The frequent interactions of sound and ice will lead dramatic reflection, attenuation and modal dispersion which will pose additional difficulties and uncertainties to localization due to the intense environmental sensitivity of the MFP method. This paper constructs the basic MFP source localization scheme in under-ice environment. Firstly, a hybrid acoustic propagation model called OASR-KRAKENC that considers the effects of ice reflection and attenuation are constructed to generate the replicas in under-ice waveguide. Then the incoherent broadband MFP approach of conventional linear correlation (Bartlett) and minimum variance (MV) algorithm are verified by the real data collected from the northern Yellow Sea in winter. The localization performance of real data validates the feasibility of MFP in under-ice environment.

Along-track velocity is critical for synthetic aperture sonar (SAS) imaging, as well as for the navigation of carrier. SAS systems typically measure velocity through a Doppler Velocity Log (DVL), but it is not always available. Based on these, this paper describes a method for estimating the along-track velocity using displaced phase center (DPC) approximation. The main idea of the proposed method is to obtain the displacement of SAS between two adjacent pings using the spatiotemporal cross-correlation coefficient matrix, and then find the along-track velocity by a calculating formula. Simulations and results of real data from lake experiments show that the estimated velocity is quite accurate, and the estimated velocity can be used for carrier navigation and image reconstruction.

The squint sliding spotlight synthetic aperture radar (SAR) will bring about an exponentially increased range cell migration (RCM), which could lead to a conflict between the receive window and blind ranges for conventional fixed pulse repetition interval (F-PRI). Continuously varying pulse repetition interval (CV-PRI) could avoid blind ranges, but the echo signal acquisition and processing is complex than F-PRI. Block varying PRI (BV-PRI) as a novel PRI change rule was proposed in this paper to meet the space-borne SAR requirement. Because the azimuth antenna can be design very long, the value of PRF and wide swath are not very large for high squint sliding-spotlight mode, which decides the receive window can be design very large and PRI could keep a fixed value during several degrees of squint angle. Compared with conventional fixed pulse repetition interval, BV-PRI avoid the overlap of transmitting and receiving pulses, which process and restructure the echo signal is easier than CV-PRI with a limited number of PRIs. Furthermore, an example is presented by typical SAR parameters and the azimuth direction results are reproduced. Feasibility of BV-PRI is studied and verified in the azimuth direction simulation.

Electrical circuit to control power is designed for TTL IC sigma-pi neural units. The designed unit is implementable as an integral circuit. The unit representation features are considered in a given circuitry basis. A neural circuit simulation is performed through the PSpice interpreter. The properties of neural networks are considered. A knowledge-aided direct data domain (D3) algorithm, which is applied to the space-time adaptive processing (STAP), is proposed. The conventional D3 algorithm only uses the test data to avoid heterogeneous training data. However, the prior knowledge of target is always not accurate, leading to performance degradation. The D3 algorithm based on sparse representation suffers target self-nulling and clutter suppression performance degradation. To overcome these disadvantages, a knowledge-aided D3 algorithm is proposed to improve the STAP performance. The prior knowledge about clutter distribution of forward-looking airborne radar is exploited to distinguish clutter components and targets. Furthermore, the clutter components can be eliminated from the sparse recovery coefficient vector. Hence, we can judge if the targets are present via the power of reminder element. Then, the clutter components are exploited to estimate the STAP filter weight, which can supply satisfactory clutter suppression performance. Experiments validate that the proposed algorithm separate the clutter components and targets directly without the prior knowledge of targets, and the target detection performance is improved significantly.

A suitable regularization parameter plays an important role in sparse ISAR imaging algorithms. With a proper regularization parameter, the quality of ISAR images improves. In this paper, the Homotopy re-weighted 1-norm minimization is applied to ISAR imaging. This method is able to choose the accurate regularization parameter for each point in ISAR image with high efficiency. As a result, the imaging results processed by this method contain more details of the target and less artificial points. Both simulated and real data experiments validate the feasibility of the proposed method. © 2019 IEEE.

Node classification is an important issue in network researches. Existing methods lay more emphasis on the classification of static network nodes, while there are insufficient researches on network dynamic characteristics. At the same time, the existing adjacency matrix representation cannot reflect the potential relationship of indirectly connected nodes. To better describe the network structure and utilize network time information, the author proposes a new Node Classification Algorithm based on Autoencoder, namely NCAA. It adopts the random walk in limited spatio-temporal and the matrix representation of node relationship. The low-dimensional representation vector of the node is generated by the autoencoder model, and the LogicRegression classifier is used to classify the representation vectors, thereby achieving node classification. Experiments show that, compared to some classic algorithms, NCAA can better represent the network, and its two-dimensional visualization of node vectors has a superior effect. Under the same conditions, the F1 value of the classification result is significantly higher than that of baseline algorithms.

Single-photon entanglement(SPE) is an important source in quantum communication. In this paper, we put forward a single-photon-assisted noiseless linear amplification protocol to protect the SPE of an arbitrary polarization–time-bin qudit from the photon transmission loss caused by the practical channel noise. After the amplification, the fidelity of the SPE can be effectively increased. Meanwhile, the encoded polarization–time-bin features of the qudit can be well preserved. The protocol can be realized under the current experimental conditions. Moreover, the amplification protocol can be extended to resist complete photon loss and partial photon loss during the photon transmission. After the amplification, we can not only increase the fidelity of the target state, but also solve the decoherence problem simultaneously. Based on the above features, our amplification protocol may be useful in future quantum communication.

Let's play music: Audio-driven performance video generation

We propose a new task named Audio-driven Performance Video Generation (APVG), which aims to synthesize the video of a person playing a certain instrument guided by a given music audio clip. It is a challenging task to generate the high-dimensional temporal consistent videos from low-dimensional audio modality. In this paper, we propose a multistaged framework to achieve this new task to generate realistic and synchronized performance video from given music. Firstly, we provide both global appearance and local spatial information by generating the coarse videos and keypoints of body and hands from a given music respectively. Then, we propose to transform the generated keypoints to heatmap via a differentiable space transformer, since the heatmap offers more spatial information but is harder to generate directly from audio. Finally, we propose a Structured Temporal UNet (STU) to extract both intra-frame structured information and inter-frame temporal consistency. They are obtained via graph-based structure module, and CNN-GRU based high-level temporal module respectively for final video generation. Learning parallax attention for stereo image super-resolution

Stereo image pairs can be used to improve the performance of super-resolution (SR) since additional information is provided from a second viewpoint. However, it is challenging to incorporate this information for SR since disparities between stereo images vary significantly. In this paper, we propose a parallax-attention stereo superresolution network (PASSRnet) to integrate the information from a stereo image pair for SR. Specifically, we introduce a parallax-attention mechanism with a global receptive field along the epipolar line to handle different stereo images with large disparity variations. We also propose a new and the largest dataset for stereo image SR (namely, Flickr1024). Extensive experiments demonstrate that the parallax-attention mechanism can capture correspondence between stereo images to improve SR performance with a small computational and memory cost. Comparative results show that our PASSRnet achieves the state-of-the-art performance on the Middlebury, KITTI 2012 and KITTI 2015 datasets. Copyright © 2019, The Authors. All rights reserved.
