Digital Twin (DT) technology has emerged as a robust mechanism for overseeing and improving the lifecycle processes of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) by creating their virtual counterparts. The widespread employment of cloud computing is apparent in delivering computational and storage services for the DT within the IIoT environment. Ensuring the confidentiality of DT data is crucial since data owners, cloud service providers, and users operate across separate trust domains. Accordingly, public key encryption is a viable solution for managing access. However, traditional public key encryption encounters challenges in achieving effective search and secure sharing of encrypted DT data in the cloud. This paper introduces a proxy re-encryption scheme with plaintext checkable encryption for data access control (PRE-IBSC-PCE), which addresses the challenges associated with searching for and sharing encrypted digital twin data in the cloud. The PRE-IBSC-PCE achieves efficient data search and sharing while ensuring privacy, integrity, non-repudiation, and authenticity. Meanwhile, we prove that PRE-IBSC-PCE is secure under the decisional bilinear Diffie–Hellman assumption in the random oracle model. Lastly, when compared to similar schemes, the performance analysis of the PRE-IBSC-PCE is more efficient and suitable for DT applications in IIoT. © 2024

The purpose of this research is the segmentation of lungs computed tomography(CT)scan for the diagnosis of COVID-19 by using machine learning *** dataset contains data from patients who are prone to the *** contains three types of lungs CT images(Normal,Pneumonia,and COVID-19)collected from two different sources;the first one is the Radiology department of Nishtar Hospital Multan and Civil Hospital Bahawalpur,Pakistan,and the second one is a publicly free available medical imaging database known as *** the preprocessing,a novel fuzzy c-mean automated region-growing segmentation approach is deployed to take an automated region of interest(ROIs)and acquire 52 hybrid statistical features for each ***,12 optimized statistical features are selected via the chi-square feature reduction *** the classification,five machine learning classifiers named as deep learning J4,multilayer perceptron,support vector machine,random forest,and naive Bayes are deployed to optimize the hybrid statistical features *** is observed that the deep learning J4 has promising results(sensitivity and specificity:0.987;accuracy:98.67%)among all the deployed *** a complementary study,a statistical work is devoted to the use of a new statistical model to fit the main datasets of COVID-19 collected in Pakistan.

One of the most complex tasks for computer-aided diagnosis(Intelligent decision support system)is the segmentation of ***,this study proposes a new fully automated method for the segmentation of ovarian and breast ultrasound *** main contributions of this research is the development of a novel Viola–James model capable of segmenting the ultrasound images of breast and ovarian cancer *** addition,proposed an approach that can efficiently generate region-of-interest(ROI)and new features that can be used in characterizing lesion *** study uses two databases in training and testing the proposed segmentation *** breast cancer database contains 250 images,while that of the ovarian tumor has 100 images obtained from several hospitals in *** of the experiments showed that the proposed approach demonstrates better performance compared with those of other segmentation methods used for segmenting breast and ovarian ultrasound *** segmentation result of the proposed system compared with the other existing techniques in the breast cancer data set was 78.8%.By contrast,the segmentation result of the proposed system in the ovarian tumor data set was 79.2%.In the classification results,we achieved 95.43%accuracy,92.20%sensitivity,and 97.5%specificity when we used the breast cancer data *** the ovarian tumor data set,we achieved 94.84%accuracy,96.96%sensitivity,and 90.32%specificity.

LanCOPE: Language-Guided Category-Level Object Pose Estimation from a Single RGB Image

Monocular RGB-based category-level object pose estimation is more practical and cost-effective for robotics. However, existing methods do not fully exploit the rich semantic and contextual information in multimodal data (e.g. language) that provides additional object attributes to guide the model in extracting category features more reliably. We propose a language-guided category-level object pose estimation method (LanCOPE), taking a single RGB image as input. Our method uses DINOv2 to recover depth from a single RGB image and converts it into point cloud to perceive the object's geometry. We then introduce language descriptions for the RGB image, estimated point cloud and overall scene to better guide the point cloud encoder and image encoder in learning category features. We develop a cross-modal differential perception feature fusion network to fuse multimodal features. This network employs a differential perception module to eliminate redundant information across different modalities, highlighting signifcant semantic differences and similarities. Furthermore, it uses a cross-attention mechanism to fuse the semantic information of the language and vision features, improving the overall perception. Finally, we design a denoising network based on the skip fusion transformer to recover the object pose accurately. Extensive experiments on REAL275 and Wild6D datasets show that LanCOPE achieves state-of-the-art performance. Our code is available at LanCOPE. © 2016 IEEE.

Large language models (LLMs) have shown impressive performance on downstream tasks by in-context learning (ICL), which heavily relies on the quality of demonstrations selected from a large set of annotated examples. Recent works claim that in-context learning is robust to noisy demonstrations in text classification. In this work, we show that, on text generation tasks, noisy annotations significantly hurt the performance of in-context learning. To circumvent the issue, we propose a simple and effective approach called Local Perplexity Ranking (LPR), which replaces the "noisy" candidates with their nearest neighbors that are more likely to be clean. Our method is motivated by analyzing the perplexity deviation caused by noisy labels and decomposing perplexity into inherent perplexity and matching perplexity. Our key idea behind LPR is thus to decouple the matching perplexity by performing the ranking among the neighbors in semantic space. Our approach can prevent the selected demonstrations from including mismatched input-label pairs while preserving the effectiveness of the original selection methods. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of LPR, improving the EM score by up to 18.75 on common benchmarks with noisy annotations. Dynamic searchable symmetric encryption (DSSE) enables users to delegate the keyword search over dynamically updated encrypted databases to an honest-but-curious server without losing keyword privacy. This paper studies a new and practical security risk to DSSE, namely, secret key compromise (e.g., a user’s secret key is leaked or stolen), which threatens all the security guarantees offered by existing DSSE schemes. To address this open problem, we introduce the notion of searchable encryption with key-update (SEKU) that provides users with the option of non-interactive key updates. We further define the notion of post-compromise secure with respect to leakage functions to study whether DSSE schemes can still provide data security after the client’s secret key is compromised. We demonstrate that post-compromise security is achievable with a proposed protocol called "Bamboo". Interestingly, the leakage functions of Bamboo satisfy the requirements for both forward and backward security. We conduct a performance evaluation of Bamboo using a real-world dataset and compare its runtime efficiency with the existing forward-and-backward secure DSSE schemes. With the substantial improvement of people’s living standards, the amount of domestic garbage is increasing rapidly, and intelligent waste classification has become an urgent need in modern society. In this paper, we propose a real-time garbage detection model based on the improved YOLOv5 (you only look once version 5) algorithm. Firstly, mosaic data enhancement is introduced to enrich the background of the detection object and improve the robustness of the network. Secondly, Distance-IOU Non-Maximum Suppression is used to replace the traditional Non-Maximum Suppression to improve the suppression effect of prediction boxes. Finally, the network is further optimized from the aspect of activation function. The experimental results show that among the four versions of YOLOv5, their mean average precision(mAP) all reach more than 84%, The improved YOLOv5x has the best recognition effect, whose mAP reaches 89.4%, which is 2.1% higher than that of YOLOv5x and 5.3% higher than that of YOLOv5s. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a frequent neurodevelopmental disorder in children that is commonly diagnosed subjectively. The objective detection of ADHD based on neuroimaging data has been a complex problem with low ranges of accuracy, possibly due to (among others) complex diagnostic processes, the high number of features considered and imperfect measurements in data collection. Hence, reliable neuroimaging biomarkers for detecting ADHD have been elusive. To address this problem we consider a recently proposed multi-model selection method called Sparse Wrapper AlGorithm (SWAG), which is a greedy algorithm that combines screening and wrapper approaches to create a set of low-dimensional models with good predictive power. While preserving the previous levels of accuracy, SWAG provides a measure of importance of brain regions for identifying ADHD. Our approach also provides a set of equally-performing and simple models which highlight the main feature combinations to be analyzed and the interactions between them. Taking advantage of the network of models resulting from this approach, we confirm the relevance of the frontal and temporal lobes as well as highlight how the different regions interact to detect the presence of ADHD. In particular, these results are fairly consistent across different learning mechanisms employed within the SWAG (i.e. logistic regression, linear and radial-kernel support vector machines) thereby providing population-level insights, as well as delivering feature combinations that are smaller and often perform better than those that would be used if employing their original versions directly. © 2024 The Author(s).
